Chapter 3: 3-Saber's Arrival
Lancer isn't a human being, but even so, I won't eat him.
Not due to moral reasons, I didn't even reach that deep into considerations before ruling him out as a meal.
No, the reason why I will let go of this snacktime, is because his body is made of mana instead of normal flesh, therefore I can't eat him.

The system made my 'consume' ability capable of 'digesting' any type of matter, as opposed to the original that could only 'digest' living flesh. But I'm still unable to consume immaterial things, so Servants are of the menu for me.

I drop Lancer's heart next to the body, heal my wound and turn my arm back to normal. I then pickup Lancer's spear and proceed to Shirou's workshop to wait for Saber's arrival.
Why taking the spear? Just to be safe. Lancer's body will disappear soon and most likely, the spear with it, but in the odd chance that it won't due to someone else currently wielding it...
...Aaaaand the spear disappeared and I got new Greed Achievments. Oh well, it was worth the shot.

GOSH, I JUST REMEMBERED SOMETHING!!!
"System, I don't have any mana! How will I be able to sustain Saber!?"
[*Ding* answer: in this dimension, mana is just a small part of one's life force. Since your life force is pure Void Energy, any and all who try to absorb it will suffer from a very agonizing form of poisoning!]
I froze.
"PLEASE TELL ME THERE IS A WAY TO SAVE HER!!!!!!!!!"
[*Ding* there is a way to save her.]

"Soooo...!? What's the way?"
[*Ding* if user focuses very hard, he can keep his life force from beeing syphoned. As soon as Saber apears, just ask her to not consume your mana and explain that it is poisonous. Servants can survive on normal food, but it is sub-optimal.]
I sigh in relief.

I take a de-tour and pass by the kitchen to grab some food for Saber.
I take a bowl and some rice that I proceed to swallow and cook inside my body, when it is done, I pour the rice into the bowl and resume my way.
Consuming the food and using my biomass to prepare it makes it very delicious, as I'm manipulating the food's very molecules to culinary perfection.
...
But now that I think about it, maybe it is best if I don't tell her how I prepared the rice...

I grab hold of my life force as tightly as I can, and thank my body sized brain for beeing so strong, this is no easy feat!

When I reach the workshop, the magic circle in the corner is already starting to glow, and the comand seals' markings appear on the back of my hand.
The same Saber from the anime apears before me with a confused expresion.
Due to the pull I feel in my life force I guess she diden't think her master would deny her some mana.
I quickly explain Saber the situation in an apologetic tone and hand her the rice bowl, her confused face changes into surprise during my explanation and in the end she acepted living on normal food.
The pull on my life force disappears and I breathe easy again.
Well, not literally of course. my lungs are just ornamental.

I start noticing how powerful the System really is. Saber was bound to be Shirou's Servant, but now she is mine. Since Shirou's soul is already in the afterlife, the only ways for Saber to come to me is either with the System interfering with the Holy Grail, or the Grail beeing dumb and not noticing that someone else is wearing Shirou's face!
So either the omnipotent wish granter is a dumb-dumb. Or the System is even more powerful than the Grail itself!!!
Dying to get this System was totaly worth it!

"OK, Saber right? A master and her Servant are coming this way, but they are potential allies, so don't attack them, OK?"
Saber nods wile eating the rice.
"Master, I have to say that your cooking is incredible! How did you prepare this rice?"
"I have my ways."
OH GOSH!!! Ignorance IS a blessing!!!
Saber puts the bowl down, a serious expression on her face.
"Master, they are here."
