Chapter 3: From dream to nightmare (PART 2)
Legarda immediately went to find Alexander. After he went Alaine Showed up next to Albrad.
She also had a pair of wings and blonde hair and blue eyes.
"Are you alright, Albrad?" She asked.
"I'm fine, but I'm afraid that this is the end for us."
"We never thought he would side with giants, his hatred runs much deeper than we imagined." Alaine said."Is Legarda going to take Alexander?"
"Yes. As long as he is safe, we can die peacefully." Albrad answered.
"Well, I always had a hunch that I'll die beside you." Alaine said while kissing him one last time then went towards the giants, while Albrad went for Zamartze.
"Zamartze, did yo..." Before Albrad could even finish talking, Zamartze already attacked him.
"spare me your dumb speech, I have no interest in deadman's tales." Zamartze brutally attacked with his spear, each strike stronger than his last, Albrad succesfully blocked each strike, but was unable to go into offensive.
Back in the castle, Legarda found Alexander And took him to his private yard.
"What is happening uncle?" Alexander confusigly asked.
"We have to leave immediately." Legarda hurriedly answered.
"But what about my mother and father?"
"They will be right behind us." Legarda answered while biting his lips. They entered his yard and there was majestc griffon waiting.

Albrad and Zamartze flew high in the sky and Albrad tried to close the distance, but was unsuccessful, That lasted for a few minutes, when Albrad finally saw an opening and striked Zamartze across the face.
"Aaaaarggh, quick somebody kill him!" Zamartze barely managed to save his head screamed in pain and comanded his soldiers. Dozen of soldiers then attacked Albrad, but they were nowhere near his level and they all easily died in a few strikes. Albrad slowly sarted moving towards Zamartze, when he noticed a smile on his face.
"It looks like our queen is having some trouble over there. But still, killing that many giants, her reputation wasn't for nothing." Zamartze smirkingly said. Albrad looked in the distance and saw Alaine barely staying in air, dozen of giants' corpses were lying around her, but there were still too many standing around her, giving her more and more wounds when ultimately, she fell to the ground.
"Alaine!" Albrad was shaken and Zamartze took this chance and striked at Albrad.
Albrad, unable to block that strike, was pierced right through chest, his eyes wide open with shock.
"I waited a long time for this. Now you can go and greet my son and say the same words you told me all those years ago." Zamartze pulled the spear from Albard's chest and Albard's body fell to the ground. Then something caught his eye. Zamartze turned around and saw a familiar griffon flying away in the distance."Go after them immediately!!" He commanded his soldiers and tried to go with them, but his wounds were too severe.
Soldiers on wyverns could only keep that distance and couldn't catch up with them because wyverns were after all inferiro to the griffon. Legarda thought they were safe, when he saw another unit of soldiers on wiverns was closing in to them from the left side. Legarda activated his bloodline and immediately went to attack, leaving Alexander on griffon. Wyvern unit split into two groups, one went towards Legard and other aimed for Alexander. Legarda seeing this backed up a little towards the griffon. Because he had to look out for Alexander he couldn't showcase his true strength. Wyverns spew fire at them, which Legarda was barely able to keep away from Alexander. Although this low level fire was almost nothing to him, in order to protect Alexander, he had to exert much more strength than usual.
"Ventum vulnus!" Legarda yelled and a huge wind slash flew towards the fireball that was coming towards them. The fireball was split in two and went around them. Legarda without wasting any moments, immediately counterattacked. He closed the distance between him and the wyverns, and slashed with his sword. Every slash was followed with wind that cut through anything, every slash killed one enemy and wounded the one behind, but still one wyvern managed to get behind him, and stabbed him deep in his side. While Legarda was dealing with them, the other unit that was following them finally caught up with them and attacked Alexander. Another fire ball was spit towards him. Legarda could only watch in horror as the fire ball was moving towards Alexander.
"Noooo!!" He yelled, but it was all in vain, the fire engulfed the griffon and Alexander, but only for a moment.
"What?!" Legarda looked in shock as griffon flew from the fire with Alexander on his back. Griffon had few wounds, then the flew towards the wyverns and attacked with wind slashes.
"How can he control my mount?" Legarda watched in disbelief as Alexander attacked the wyverns. But still he was too inexperienced and although he managed to wound a few wyverns, griffon wasn't in a good state.
Legarda finally finished dealing with his side and immediately joined Alexander. He circled around them and started attacking from behind, first few soldiers on wyverns didn't notice anything and were easily killed, when they finally noticed him it was already too late, Leagarda along with griffon easily killed the remaining soldiers. Then he flew close to griffon and Alexander.
"Are you alright?" Legarda asked.
"I am fine, but I'm afraid he is not." Alexander said while patting griffon. There were numerous wounds on griffon and he was bleeding a lot.
"He will be fine." Legarda assured Alexander and pitifully looked at griffon.
"Let's go, we need to ge...."
"Only you are left from royal blood, did you really think I would let you get away." Before Legarda could finish speaking, he was cut short by Zamartze. The wound across seemd to have closed, but he still looked a little pale, and was bleeding from numerous spots from his body.
"Did you really think you could stop us in this state." Legarda gave him mocking remark, but he was still unfazed.
"don't pretend like you're in any better shape, I can tell that you're barely keeping your self conscious." When Zamartze said that, only then did Alexander noticed the bleeding wound on Legarda.
"Uncle!!" He called.
"It's fine it is nothing fatal, I will be alright" He answered looking like it was only a scratch. Zamartze only smiled a little and immediately went for attack. You could notice how wounded both of them are, because their strikes were much weaker than before. they were exchanging strikes for quite some time, fatigue was showing on both of their faces and there were new wounds on their bodies.
And after quite some time Zamartze finally saw an opening and went for a strike, when he suddenly sensed something, turned around and put his spear in a block. He was hit with a strong force and sent flying to the ground.
*booooom* He hit ground with a loud bang. LEgarda and Alexander looked in shock, but what shocked them the most was the being who attacked Zamartze.
"D-Demon" Legarda said in shock.
