'GROWL!'
Hóngsè's stomach won't stop grumbling, Even though she was hungry, she knew that
eating food would make her sluggish. Over the years Hóngsè has learned many things to help her
survive.
For example, she had to cut all of her hair so it wouldn't interfere with a hunt. She
learned this the hard way. One time she was chasing a Canopy Dear but got caught up in some
branches due to her long hair.
That was an interesting quest for sure. Hóngsè chuckled to herself and kept on moving
through the forest. The quest read that the Crimson Wolf lived near the top of the mountains.
That means the quest will take at least a week.
As Hóngsè continued up the mountains, the trees got thicker and the brush became
denser. After struggling through the forest for three more hours, she was unable to move any
further. She was tired and there was just too many shrubs and bushes to get through.
With a big huff, Hóngsè hoisted herself up on a low hanging branch and began to climb.
To prevent herself from getting mauled by a random beast, Hóngsè would prefer to rest on an
uncomfortable but sufficient branch.
Hóngsè wrapped herself around a thick branch, closed her eyes and fell into a calm sleep.
With the birds singing their song and the cool air kissing her cheeks, it did not take that long for
Hóngsè to fall asleep.
As she slept, small movement was seen nearby within the thick brush. Two piercing
eyes glowed and steam was seen rising from the bushes. The birds stopped singing and the air
turned warm. The entire time Hóngsè still slept on.
After some time, the mysterious beast left the area. The birds and air returned to their
original state as if nothing was amis. The next morning, Hóngsè arose from her slumber, climbed
down her branch and got ready to continue on.
As she turned toward the top of the mountain, she saw small trails of smoke within one of
the bushes. Creeping closer, she saw that there were small scorch marks on the twigs and grass
where a beast stayed.
Just after looking at the scorch marks, Hóngsè knew she found her prey. This day was
going to be very exciting. Looking around the brush, she found more patches with burnt
blades of grass. With a sly grin, she began to follow the obvious trail that the Crimson Wolf left
behind.
Continuing down the trail, Hóngsè was oblivious to the great danger that was quickly
approaching. This ignorance would lead to great doom that would change Hóngsè's life forever.
