Chapter 4: When Everything Changed
Since he was only able trust himself or Tamoki and since he had always been very antisocial, Tatsuya was always being bullied. Weather it was in class, during recess, at lunch, or going home, misfortune always followed him.
"Hey Tatsuya! Time for my daily allowance or your daily beating!"
"Yeah give it up you coward!"
Haru and Aki were nitrous school bullies. Eveyone knew about them. Most saw the two as annoying and irritating while others saw them as ignorant, but as long as they didn't bother them, no one even bothered with them.
Usually Tatsuya would just take their beating and eventually they atop and go away, but they were very persistent this time and wouldn't go away.
"Hay Aki, hold him down while I beat him up!"
Aki grabbed Tatsuya and pulled his arms back so he was unable to move. Aki wouldn't budge at all as Tatsuya struggled to get free. This was not new to him though, but this time it was different. Tatusya suddenly got got an overwhelming and strange feeling that he couldn't breathe. It was as if someone was choking him. Even though he felt this pain, there was a strong surge of power that spread all throughout his body. All of a sudden Tatusya heard a strange deep and calming yet intimidating voice in my ear.
'Do you want power? Do you want to live? At this point, you're about to die fron these punks..... do you want that? Are you ok with dying?'
"No, I don't want to die! I WANT TO LIVE!"
'Then form a contract with me Yami, you can use all my power. I will lend it to you but as a price you must become my vessel. I will live inside your consciousness and you can never be free of me. Even if you use sacred arts, you will NEVER GET RID OF ME. Once we form said contract, then you can never go back. Now, do we have a deal?'
"Yes! I will! We have a deal!"
'Good choice Yami.'
All of a sudden a dark aura was emanating from him. Shadows covered and emersed his body in darkness. The last thing he saw, was the terrified faces of the two bullies. When he finally came to his senses Aki and Haru were dead at his feet and he had no clue what happened or what to do. Then, Tatusya realized that he did it. He had killed them.
Tatsuya fell to his knees and covered his mouth with his hands. He stared at their faces and lifeless bodies. Their skin was pale like the life had literally been drained out of them. The strange thing is that he didn't feel anything and as a matter of fact it felt good. He killed them, but in the end, all he was able to do was run.
