Chapter 41: Greenhorn

"White, this is Senior Brother Six, make sure you treat him well in the future" Windblade said has she sat on a nearby boulder.

Lee cupped his hands and bowed towards Senior Brother Six, he didn't understand the part of treat him well in the future!

Senior Brother Six stared at Lee for few seconds, he only smiled and didn't say anything.

Those few seconds felt like eternity to Lee, he felt has though Senior Brother Six's eyes had pierced through his body and could see everything about him. He felt so defenceless even though it was a gaze, a drop of sweat couldn't help but break from his forehead.

"I know you have questions, but before i answer them, i have to first introduce who we are to you!"

"We are emissaries from Greenhorn clan!"

Lee felt his head ring when he heard this words drop from Senior Brother Six's lips.

GREENHORN CLAN!!

The clan that ruled over Greenland. Since the world was dominated by Bloodlines, the major powers were controlled by bloodline clans, same was the case for Greenland. The country was ruled by the number one force;Greenhorn Clan.

"White, don't be so shocked, it's nothing much" Windblade spoke as grinned widely.

Lee choose to believe he didn't hear her right, a clan that could control millions of citizens was nothing much, the whole vine city could be destroyed in a matter of seconds if they willed it, and it was nothing much. Lilybroon clan was nothing in the sight of Greenhorn clan.

"What would members of Greenhorn, want with me?" Lee couldn't help but think. But he was immediately drawn from his thoughts.

"We were in the Arena of heroes, and had helped you when you fainted!" Senior Brother Six said.

"Senior Brother is so humble, if we had not rescued you, you would have died from the massive energy you took in, it would have shattered your internals" Windblade said with a pout.

Lee suddenly understood how the spiritual frigid energy that was raging before he passed out, suddenly became his spiritual energy and how he had escaped death.

"Thank you highly esteemed sir, this young one is really grateful, if there is anything i can do to re...." Lee was still showing his appreciation when Windblade suddenly interrupted.

"Didn't you hear when i said repay him in the future, and his name his Senior Brother Six"

Senior Brother Six nodded at Lee as though he was approving, what Windblade had said.

Lee was shocked stiff, repay Greenhorn members in the future!

He didn't even possess a Bloodline neither was his clan anything worth it.

If Lilybroon clan was trash in the sight of the likes of the people, than what was his clan?.... Double trash!

"Greenhorn clan has decided to form a special academy to produce an elite squad of young talented cultivators"

"This academy is set to give the best training than any other can give in the whole of Greenland"

"We are emissaries and we helped you, so you should understand" Senior Brother Six said he stared at Lee.

Lee was shocked stiff, could it mean, I've been selected?

"You have been selected to join Greenhorn's special academy!" Windblade uttered with excitement written all over her face.

Lee didn't know what emotion to feel, shock and suprise was small in comparison to what he was feeling, he had not in his wildest dreams, seen himself going to a academy that was built by Greenhorn academy. It took a while before he recovered from his shock, he didn't know whether he should be happy, it was a very a big news for him to handle, it could change the entire situation of his clan, they could rise to become the only ruling clan in the whole Vine city.

But he still felt he was been toyed with as, he didn't possess a Bloodline, and if the academy was to provide the best tuition in the whole Greenland, then those that would be recruited into academy would be the best of the best, the cream of the crop.

He was just a local genius in a small city, what could he have done to have attracted their attention.

"Could it be the ruckus i caused in the Arena of heroes?" Lee couldn't help but ponder.

Seeing the shock on Lee's face, Windblade grinned like a Cheshire cat, it was as she expected, the fact that he was an essence sword wielder was enough to make him doubt, it was certain that he had questions.

She stared at Senior Brother Six and the man drew his lips in a thin line as he began to speak.

"The only reason why we have decided to recruit you, is becuase you succeeded in bridging your consciousness with your sword totem at the fourth Spirtual path stage. To be sincere with you it is quite unheard of, and it simply proves that your potential towards the path of sword is very shocking!"

"Bridging my consciousness.. " Lee slowly muttered under his breath, he didn't understand what he meant.

"Oh, could it.. " While he was wondering what it meant, it was then he remembered the white line that connected his sword totem and mental space.

"The phenomenon is regarded to as bridging of consciousness, it simply means you and your sword totem have linked consciousness, and as a swordsman you understand what it means to be linked to your sword"

Lee nodded his head, now he understood why he felt extremely familiar with the sword totem, if a swordsman and his sword had a connection, his strength, understanding, comprehension would increase in leaps and bonds. It made a swordsman do unexplainable magnificent things with the sword, it was the dream of every swordsman to understand his sword.

"This doesn't mean you are fully connected with your totem, you have just taken a step in understanding your totem, but this step is enough to take many swordsmen hundred of years before they can achieve this!"

"There is no specific way, or technique that teaches how to bridge consciousness, it takes special moments and talents.. You understand this better"

Lee nodded his head, he could now understand, his sudden appearance in the sea of ice, and what he thought to be the essence of his sword totem was actually the consciousness of his sword totem.

"The ray of spiritual energy that engulfed you is referred to as Heaven's light. It's purpose is to evolve your body, increase your body strength and in some cases change your body constitution"

"The reason why it felt as if it wanted to kill you, is because you were to weak to handle it, as i said, I've never heard of a fourth stage spiritual path warrior accomplishe bridging of consciousnes"

The different questions that filled Lee's heart were getting answers one by one as Senior Brother Six spoke. And his chest that felt heavy was beginning to lighten up.

"So the energy was far from soemthing you could handle, but lad i must say, using the heavens light to Breakthrough to the fifth stage was very smart of you" Senior Brother Six said as he grinned.

Lee bowed slightly at Senior Brother Six's commending words.

"The fact that you posses mental energy and have a very strong sword totem, adds to the reason why we are recruiting you"

Lee felt his eyes almost poke out of his sockets, he couldn't understand how the man knew he cultivated mental energy, becuase Ring cultivators possessed it, didn't mean they could recognize it when they see it on another cultivator, most of them didn't have enough talent to cultivate mental energy or didn't bother to cultivate it.

"As expected of someone from Greenhorn!" Lee sighed as he thought.

"This achievements of yours are quite great, but don't let it get to your head, the higher percentage of cultivators in this academy are lads with one of the best bloodlines, every offsprings with the best talents would be in this same academy and to them everything about you is nothing compared to them." Senior Brother Six spoke with a serious expression on his face.

Lee wasn't moved by Senior Brother Six's words, it was a known rule no matter how strong you think you are, a Bloodline warrior is still stronger. What shocked him was the fact that lads with the best bloodlines in the country would be present in the academy, it simply meant he was going to a place where he would be at the bottom of the power chain.

"So, Skyfire Lee do you accept to be a student of Greenhorn's special academy?!"
