A young man can be seen walking out in a huge building labeled Revival Hall. Shi Fan strode out enjoying the scenery before him. Floating islands can be seen from above as well as the renaissance type buildings around the town.
It is called a town but the size of it is massive. Spanning more than 5000 kilometers from the center. Thinking of it Shi Fan was shocked. It is already huge for a town what more if it's at the kingdom level or empire level. "As expected of this game." Shi Fan said in admiration.
"Open System Interface" Shi Fan commanded and a white HUD appeared with 6 bars. Status, Inventory, Quests, Settings, Map and Log Out can be seen at the side while on the right side is Shi Fan's equipment.
When his fingered clicked on the status bar it immediately sent out a Lock Warning Sign to Shi Fan indicating that he cannot click the said button. He frowned, seeing he currently couldn't do anything about it he shifted his attention to his equipment.
"An iron sword and leather armor huh." Shi Fan lamented when he looked at the dull silver-colored sword as well as the brown armor. Despite not choosing a class the game seems to have given him equipment after all so he was still elated to see the sword. Shi Fan, after all, planned to choose the swordsman path. Well because of that bug he didn't get to do so.

Rarity is divided into six categories.
Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Semi-Legendary and Legendary most of them can commonly be found in weapons, equipment, and materials.
"Well, I better pick up some quests". Shi Fan said running to the city trade center.
"Moonlight stones for sale 15 silver per piece. Bulk buyers will be given 14 silvers per piece selling price!"
"Come come! Lvl 40 Centaurion Armor for sale. Great at tanking Elite Type monsters as well as it amplifies heals and shields the wearer received!"
"Ray Stingers for sale! Valuable for Anti-Poison and Anti-Leakage Potions! 10 silvers per stacks!"
Merchant adventurers can be seen beside the street hawking their wares eagerly.
Players in Emperor Online are called adventurers. The next promotion for them depends on the classes they want. For example, taking the Rank 1 swordsman path, the next path for their class will be Rank 2 sword knight. Where 50 levels separate each rank. Then it depends on what they will be focusing on a pure damage sword user or an Attack Speed based ones. But the people have one goal ever since the beginning of Emperor Online. and that is to become one of the Rank 10 Emperors, The strongest individuals to walk on the Continent. Capable of ruling empires as well as clearing Super Hell Raids that even large guilds have frowned upon.
Other than classes. Side jobs also exist in the game. Though they don't have promotions like in the class-based ones all of them have the same classifications. Apprentice, Master, Grandmaster, Godsent and lastly the classification hat even Emperors respected, the Heaven Masters. Each of the classifications is broken down into 5 categories. Beginner, Basic, Intermediate, High, and Respected.
Guilds also exist in the Continent. They are mostly classified into Miniscule, Minor, Small, Midsize and Large Guilds. Adventurers can choose the guild they want depending on the type they want. There are 3 commonly known types of guilds. The Raid, Merchant and the Combat type guilds.
Raid Type guilds are those who focus on raiding dungeons, fallen temples, grottos, event raids and many more.
Occupation Type/ Merchant type Guilds focused on adventurers who work with raw materials to produce products for adventurers to use.
And lastly the most famous of them all, the Combat Type guilds, unlike raid type guilds their focus is defending town on monster waves, completing quests given by NPC's, as well as dealing with the abyss which frequently appears. These types of guilds boast the highest player population among the three since it is easier to gain experience than others.
Guilds not belonging to the 5 classifications are called adventurer teams. Teams will only be classified to turn into a Miniscule Guild the moment they reached the permanent membership count of a hundred thousand members and is lead by a Rank 5 player or higher.
Lastly, the most interesting function in the game is the "Monarchy". Where high-leveled adventurers can take a position in the government where they will be able to guide the town, kingdom or empire in its future economic and structural development.
Positions depend on the individual Player's Strength, his/her favorability to the adventurer's and NPC's in the place as well as Management Skills. The highest position to be acquired in towns is called Town Mayors. In the Kingdom, they are called Kings. And in the Empires, they are called Sovereigns. Empires with Emperor as it's Sovereign are called High Empires due to the strength of its leader alone.
