Chapter 13: Waves Part 2
Menma's eyes turned cold at the words of the middle-aged man. The middle-aged man looked at Naruto when his eyes meet with Naruto for just a moment he saw lightning flashing In his eyes as his eyes took the form of a hexagram before reverting back to normal.
The middle-aged man gulped and didn't dare to speak. Kakashi looked at him and said, "You do not need to worry, these kids may not look like a much but they are a lot stronger then you might think."
The middle-aged man looked and said, "My name is Tazuna, I'm a bridge-builder of Land of Waves."
- TIme skip (one day later) -
- Konoha Gate -
Our young genins were waiting at the gate, Naruto like always was leaning on the gate silently, Sasuke was standing next to him. Menma was glaring at Naruto and Narumi was looking at Naruto with longing eyes. Mito was speaking with Kushina that was at the gate.
Kushina was there to see her children off for their mission. She spoke with all of them except Naruto that she couldn't find the courage to. Tazuna was there with his bottle of sake. Kakashi and Itachi were there as well.
Kakashi announced to the teams "Let's go!" The group starts walking leaving Konoha as Kushina gathered all the courage she had as she watched Naruto back and said "Naruto, Good luck!" everyone that heard that was surprised that was unexpected, Naruto eyes for a moment opened widely before reverting back to normal, he slightly turned around and nodded.
Naruto's reaction could be said to be very cold for anyone that watched but for Kushina that was more then she could ever hope to get from him, as her eyes brightened like she just got the biggest present she smiled brightly and waved for him. Naruto didn't turn around and only kept walking.
Tazuna saw this and said "Kid, She is your mother right? You should show her a bit more respect, such a cold way to act toward your own blood-relative is disgusting." Kakashi glanced at him and said, "Tazuna-san, you have no right to speak to Naruto family-matters."
Tazuna was about to react when Menma rushed and caught Naruto in his collar! Naruto looked at him coldly as Menma rage only flared up "Mom greeted you! Show her a bit of respect! I don't even know why she would bother with someone like you!" Mito got angry and caught Menma's hand and pulled him off from Naruto! "Menma clam down! Never hold Naruto-nii like that!"
Looking at Mito's angry face he only grew angry 'Why everyone always protecting him?! What is so special about you?!' his train of thought stopped when Naruto spoke "I don't care what you think, or what either of you do. Menma, next time you will touch me like that, I will break your arm."
His cold eyes made Menma's heart grow cold. Everyone did not doubt that he wasn't joking. Naruto ignored them and kept walking silently, Menma couldn't control himself anymore and ran toward Naruto just when he was about to reach him, Sasuke caught his arm and his Sharingan activated "If you do anymore, I will take care of you before you even reach Naruto."
Menma gritted his teeth and was about to retaliate but was stopped by Itachi "Menma that's enough. You can't let personal feelings affect you in the middle of a mission if you have something you want to settle do it after the mission." Menma looked at Itachi and tsk before walking away.
The group kept walking silently. Around them, there were puddles of water on the floor. Konoha ninjas walked next to them and soon enough two Kiri ninjas burst out of the puddles of water holding two gauntlets.
Both of the Kiri ninjas attack both Itachi and Kakashi as their chain wrapped around the two Jonins slicing them to death. The young ninjas were shocked both of their Jonins have just died.
The two missing nins looked at the young genins and said: "Surrender the old man to us, or you will lose your lives!"
The young genins froze in fear as the two missing-nin didn't wait for their answers and attacked!
Both Mito and Narumi were covering for Tazuna but they just couldn't move from fear, Sasuke appeared before them intending to protect them.
Menma couldn't move his body just when he was about to get hit by the Kiri-nin Naruto appeared and punched both of the missing ninjas in their stomach as they sent flying to the air. He jumped and flipped as he kicked both of them in their chins sending them flying even higher, utilizing this chance he throws two kunais with wires that circled the near tree before coming back and hanging around their necks.
Naruto then pulled the wires back as they hang both of the missing-nin on the tree!
All of that happens in instant. Kakashi that was watching from the woods was shocked! 'Just how much this kid is hiding?!' While Itachi was only smiling.
Naruto that was still holding the wires turned around to Menma and said "Hey, you didn't get hurt right? Scaredy cat."
Menma couldn't respond as both of his legs still trembling, Mito and Narumi were shocked at the display of strength of their elder brother.
Sasuke merely smiled.
