Chapter 3: The Betrayal of Meliodas
The years flew by fast. My relationship with Meliodas became stronger albite because I helped him teleport to Elizabeth so both of them could have their time.
The other thing was to be the scapegoat for the angles who protected Elizabeth. Because of that, I met all kinds of angels. Even some of the archangels. The most annoying was Mael as it pissed me off the way he talked. So it usually went like that.
General POV
Meliodas wanted to talk with Elizabeth. He blackmailed Ender into taking him to the place. Ender obliged, cursing Meliodas that he will prank him someday. Meliodas met Elizabeth, and they talked. The angels guarding Elizabeth started to protect her from the demons resulting in them chasing Ender.
Ender cursed Meliodas as he ran away from his enemies. As Ender never stood still, fearing he could get killed, the attacks from the angels never hit him or were reflected, killing the angles or injuring them heavy. Those that survived reported back of a demon that only ran from the angles but also killed many.
Ender POV
When I first heard my moniker being mentioned, I thought it was a lie but more and more talked about.
I was known as the 'coward demon' as I never attacked to kill and only ran away. Many demons considered it a shame to have a name like that but nobody could argue about the dead bodies I left after that. Meliodas had a laughing spree for a few hours as he heard about my deeds. The commandments celebrated the new name with me.
Everyone was happy. Except for one, me.
For me, it was a catastrophe. Being a pacifist, my mind could not handle the time when I saw and heard angels crying out in pain, cursing me, before dying. One could argue that it was of self-defence but it wasn't.
The first time I lost my mind after killing angels, I started randomly teleporting while screaming. It was during that time that I started to get nightmares about mutilated angels but I told no one, expect Melascula. She held me secretly at night during my nightmares when I cried.
General POV
Many angels bore hatred towards Ender although the Enderman never laid a hand against them. How could he? They just killed themselves.
It was only after several pleas from Ender that Meliodas gave him a mission to meet Merlin to leave the battlefield as an excuse. It started like any other mission given by Meliodas as he was the perfect messenger or spy. He flew around the area where he had to go and look out for angels or whatnot. There he met Merlin.
Merlin POV
I watched as a demon flew to my house. I was ready to kill him, but then he stopped before the door, looking confused.
"Excuse me. Meliodas-sama send me here to look for someone called Merlin, known as the Daughter of Belialuin. Can I come in?"
I have never seen such a demon, so I was curious. "Sure. Come in. The door is open."
The demon nodded and opened the door. He looked not like the other demons I saw. He was tall and black. He had violet eyes that illuminated the dark.
"Hello, my name is Ender. I have a message from Meliodas-sama," the demon said. I nodded. "Speak. What does he want?" Meliodas laughed awkwardly: "Meliodas-sama only said to meet you at the place where he always talks with Elizabeth-san."
I immediately cast a perfect cube around him to cancel all escapes. "Tell me, demon, how do you know of the place of my fellow sister. If you think you are lying, I will disintegrate you."
Ender panicked and stepped back not knowing that he came out of the perfect cube. 'Impossible! I didn't see him cast any magic to negate my perfect cube. Who is he?'
Ender just smiled: "Hey little girl, I have no idea what you have done, but it is embarrassing to talk about how I know so I don't care if you believe me or not. I told you the message and not I am off, bye."
Before I could do something, the demons teleported out. "Hear me, Ender. I will find you and then I will know all your secrets. You won't escape me!"
General POV
Back in the demon realm, Ender sneezed. "I didn't know demons can get a cold," said Ender confused. "That's because we can't. Someone is talking behind your back," answered Melascula.
Ender quickly turned around to find nobody there. "You idiot, I didn't mean it like that!" One could see an angry Melascula chasing Ender while cursing at him for being stupid. Some demons started calling them the Demon Couple.
After the chase from Melascula, Ender went to Meliodas to say that he fulfilled his mission. "Meliodas-sama I have finished my mission." One could see Meliodas walking to Ender. "How many times do I have to tell you not to call me with -sama? We know each other for a long time, so please stop it."
Ender started to laugh: "You wish. You are my captain and I have to pay you respect. And it annoys you so I have my fun." Meliodas struggled to hit Ender in the face or not but decide to let him be as it won't work anyway. "Did you find her?" asked Meliodas.
Ender nodded. "Yes, but then she freaked out because I told her I knew the location of the place. She activated some kind of trap magic and then wanted to kill me for whatever reason." Meliodas could only facepalm: "I bet you just panicked after the perfect cube was cast and just walked out of it. Nobody can do that without absolute cancel, but your commandment makes the impossible possible.
The next day Meliodas fetched Ender. When Ender realized that he was coming with him, he tried to back off but one glare from Meliodas shut him up.
During his life, Ender would try to find out how this whole thing with loyalty worked. But right now was not the time.
Place of the meeting:
Ender teleported Meliodas to the secret meeting with Elizabeth. "Here you go. I am off, bye." Before Ender could teleport Meliodas had him by his head and took him with him.
"Why isn't the commandment working when I want it," whined Ender as he helplessly struggled to free himself from Meliodas.
"I am amazed that you can whine about your commandment not working. Sometimes I wish you would be smarter and lose your commandment." Ender grinned: "But then I wouldn't be Ender, right?" Meliodas knew it was of no use to continue the discussion so he just ignored Ender.
As both of them came near the meeting place, Elizabeth started smiling seeing her lover and best friend. The other person was not so happy seeing Ender and cast her Exterminate Ray. Meliodas seeing that flung the earth under Ender so the latter flew into the attack.
As Ender came into contact with the ray, it returned to Merlin two folds. Merlin canceled the spell and looked furiously and Ender. "Stop that, Merlin. No matter how many times you attack him, you won't hit him. That is his commandment of cowardice. Even if you have the blessing of the Supreme Goddess, it won't help you against this one."
Merlin nodded at Meliodas and looked at Ender who was stuck in the earth after falling. "Mark my worlds Ender, I will find a way to kill you."
Ender stood up and looked at her smirking. "Try me, *****."
"Enough Ender. Stop antagonizing her and listen. I have something to tell you all," commanded Meliodas.
All but Ender looked at him curiously. Ender knew that Meliodas would someday defect from the demon clan and today was that day it seems. "What do you want us to tell, dear?" asked Elizabeth. "I want to leave the demon clan and live with you for the rest of my life, Elizabeth," proclaimed Meliodas.
Ender POV
I broke the silence when I took some demons chips and started eating them. The were good.
"Oh, you had to ruin it, you stupid demon! Where the hell did you even get those things?" Merlin cast a spell at me and to my surprise it hit me. "The heck? How could you hit me?" I asked as I struggled to go on my feet. "Maybe because you ate chips during an important moment? Even the commandment knew that this was an inappropriate time," commented Merlin.
"It doesn't matter. Elizabeth, I would leave the demon clan to be with you so would you marry me?" asked Meliodas. Elizabeth had tears running down her eyes: "Yes, my love, I accept."
I was happy for the two of them but deep inside I knew that the worst was yet to come. Their decision would start the Holy War. I shuddered as I knew I would be in the frontline where I would be forced to kill. I hope my mind could handle it.

I have no idea how a person with such a mind feels so I am sorry if I picture it wrong.
Merlin's name was never told so I went for her new name. Many things are not known during the time 3000 years ago so I just made things up.
