Chapter 13: A Place of Solitude

(Alexandria POV)
"Sooooo hello nice to meet you I guess? Was I supposed to know you or something?" I asked knowing full well who I was talking too, but acting like I didn't for obvious reasons.
"You've have grown, ohh how Lara would have been so happy to see her little daughter as a woman," Jor-El said ignoring my question like a real chad.
"Again, who are you?" I asked kinda annoyed.
Hey! getting ignored would annoy anybody, even if you are getting ignored by your supposed dead father. Plus technically speaking he is just an AI, modeled after my father.
"I'm your father, or at least a shadow of him his consciousness, my name is Jor-El, and you are Alexan-El," Jor-El said stoically.
Geez, dude at least say it like how Lord Vader told Luke he was his father, at least he had some emotion in his voice, and that dude was a fucking sith.
"I'm assuming that Alexan is my name, and El is our family name. Am I correct?" I said just for show.
"My my you seem to have also inherited my intelligence, figuring out your name after I just told you so." Jor-El said looking proud, but for some reason, I felt like he was being sarcastic.
'Well fuck you too then' I thought.
Looking around I noticed that the basement door was still open, zipping in super speed I closed the door before returning to my previous spot.
Jor-El witnessing the act was not surprised but happy? proud? assured?
Probably all of the above.
"Sarcastic dead father's aside, I do have a question. Why did you send me here?" I asked after swatting the dust away that I kicked up when I ran.
"Ahh the dreaded question, but before I answer that I would suggest for us to take this somewhere else." He said, and before I could have asked where the fuck he wanted us to go, the ship, my ship, opened.
"Go towards the cockpit underneath the seat, you'll find a small jagged crystal the size of your palm, take it." Jor-El said, me immediately knowing where this was going.
I did as asked noticing that if I ever wanted to sit in the cockpit, I would have to pull some impressive gymnast moves just to fit, I guess they didn't make this ship for adults, or anyone over 3 ft tall.
Once I had the crystal in my hands, I looked at Jor-El for further instructions.
"Take it somewhere where no one except you would ever be able to find it once you do barry it underneath, and you would know where to go from there, I would be waiting," Jor-El said cryptically like an asshole, before vanishing the ship closing on itself, and the 'key' extracting itself from it's 'keyhole'
"Tch asshole" I said before putting everything back in place, covering the ship with the white sheet I previously dramatically pulled away and then putting back the furniture on top of the ship to hide it.
I did all that in superspeed because I cannot be asked to do all of that normally.
Heading up the stairs, I turned of the basement lights while I was leaving, and closed the basement door behind me.
Heading towards the front door I made sure before I heading out, I left a sticky note on the fridge detailing the fact that I'm outside, so Martha doesn't worry if she ever woke up and didn't find me. Just in case I don't come back before she wakes up.
I closed the door behind me, before sitting down on the front porch and tossing the crystal up and down on one hand like it was some sort of baseball.
'hmm let's see, Antatrica is out just because it's easily accessible. Sure it isn't accessible by the general public, but it sure as hell accessible by the government, never really figured out how Superman got away with that, can't put it anywhere underwater because Atlantis and Namor is a fucking little bitch, Can't put it in the Amazon Forest, nor can I put it in the Grand Canyon since both of those places are monitored and frequented by humans both governmental and civilian, same with the Arctic and Sahara deserts. Hell, I can't put it anywhere on Earth because of both Hydra and S.H.I.E.L.D. and their nosey assess.' I thought still tossing the crystal and down put now using both hands to do so.
'So off Earth, it is. The moon is out for obvious reasons, so is. Mercury, Venus, Mars, Pluto, and their respective moons, since all of them, have some form of monitoring or will get some form of monitoring in the future, especially Mars since Nasa has rovers there, Jupiter and Saturn are out since they are too close to Earth, That leaves Uranus and Neptune." Standing up I caught the crystal midair before pocketing it into my jacket's pocket, before zipping the pocket shut to prevent it from falling out of said pocket on accident
Stretching my legs I thought ' I would have chosen Uranus, except for the fact that Neptune is actually further away, plus with its global constant 1,200 miles per hour supersonic storms it provides a perfect cover, not to mention it would be underwater since the whole planet is just water. Plus it only has one satellite from where I can see from here transmitting date.'
Before taking off I first looked around with my x-ray vision to see if anyone was nearby looking at me, which except for a few animals, who thankfully weren't wolves nearby no one seemed to be spying on me.
I began to float centimeters off the ground, before silently flying up all the way until I was in the mesosphere, which I then speed my flight to supersonic speeds instantly passing the thermosphere, and passing Earth atmosphere entirely and into space.
Using my electromagnetic vision I dogged every satellite electromagnetic field so I don't get caught by unfavorably parties or the government.
Once I was a distance away from any viable monitoring device I kicked up my speed, instantly going multiple times faster than light with practically no effort.
Going even faster, so fast that everything, be it stars, planets or asteroids looked like they were standing still I made it in front of Neptune's atmosphere away from Voyager-2(the Sattelite monitoring Neptune and Uranus), field of 'vision'.
Looking under me I saw a storm of epic proportions covering the majority of the planet, which from what I could tell from here the wind speeds reached or even exceeding the speed of sound
I looked around in wonder and kinda awe for a solid minute, just taking it all in, I literally flew from Earth all the way towards Neptune in seconds.
Shaking away the thoughts of how badass and overpowered I'm for the time being I finally descended into the planet.
Everything was dark once I broke into the atmosphere since it was 30 times as far away from the sun as Earth is. that I had to use infrared vision just to see where I was going, that's not even mentioning limiting my hearing so I don't get deafened from the supersonic wind rushing towards my super sensitive to sound ears.
Once I was able to see again, and the threat of bodily harm to my ears was averted, I set my sights to the ocean which currently was experiencing from what I can estimate waves as tall as 60,000 feet, that's more than twice of Mount Everest height.
Deciding it look for the deepest part I could possibly find I circled the planet for the perfect spot.
Finding it towards where the south pole would have been located on planet earth, I dived into the ice-cold water and then proceeding to go further down below, the water getting hotter and hotter the further I went as the planet core gives off more heat than it receives from the Sun until finally, I hate the oceans floor, if I had to estimate how deep I'm right now I would have to say it hundreds, potentially maybe even thousands of kilometers deep right now, which is insane since the Mariana Trench the deepest part of our ocean, is only 10 km deep.
Just the ocean pressure here would crush any life on planet earth, thus making it the perfect place to hide something.
Doing as Jor-El asked I buried the crystal, and waited for the inevitable to happen.
Swiming away to provide for what I knew would be a lot of space needed, I waited for a couple of more seconds, before a flash of light was seen, and aurora of colors flashed into being, lighting up the surroundings of what otherwise would be an absolute dark ocean.
'Well no one can accuse Kryptonains of not being flashy' I thought impressed by the light show.
Once the lights and colors died down, a structure began to form. First, it seemed like the ice crystal started to gather materials from its surroundings, then it started to build upon itself creating a crystalline structure of epic proportions, It seemed to have restructured hydrogen and oxygen from the ocean floor to create those crystals that made the crystalline structure.
Looking at the beautiful structure in front of me I crossed my arms and thought.
'I guess this is my fortress of solitude'
