Chapter 2: Chapter 2 : Left behind
I was scared...my heart was beating irregularly ...what does he mean by that.. "What the hell are you speaking...old man...get away from her " Eugene shouted. The old man said "Hmm.. hmm...sure..why not....man...you especially will be her darkness..enjoy.." and he left the store... I turned behind while he was leaving he slightly tilted his head and he gave a me a terrible look ...his eyes were gleaming in purple.. "Yuuki...Yuukii...hey" Eugene shook me.. I turned and said "Yeah...it is nothing...well I completed my noodles...let's go." I stood up..I took the cover full of chips...but Eugene snatched it and lifted his and mine all by himself I said "Thanks..there " . While we were leaving, the bill counter lady said "Your girlfriend really has a huge appetite sir...she literally bought half of the chips here..." I thought for a while ..
he said "Yeah she really does...and don't mind her...she is a foody..". When we were walking I realised and I shouted "Wait...did she just call me a girl of huge appetite.. seriously...huh...that lady..sh-" before i could continue my sentence he said "She also called you my girlfriend " . I shouted "That lady is so assumptous...I must have told her there than...that lady.
.huh..." . He asked me "What would you tell her...hmm...".
I couldn't answer his question...for some reason...I could answer it but I couldn't ...the rest of the walk was in silence I reached my house . I waved him a good bye..and came in. Ritsuka fell asleep in the sofa...I thought...while she was waiting for me she must have fell asleep..I lifted her and put her on her bed....and came out into the living room. It was 9:40 I drank some milk...while I was boiling the milk...I was staring at the white colour of the milk...it reminded me of the old man's words "Darkness already founded...you...no more light.." as I remembered it...from the centre of the milk black colour started spreading...it was spreading throughout...the milk..I felt horrified...no...no.
I mumbled...no I fell back and hit my head...and I stood..up..the milk was no more black...I switched off the stove and drank the milk..and went to my room. I fell on my bed and stared at the ceiling ...I couldn't forget what I had seen at the stove....I consoled myself by thinking it was just my mere imagination...and slept...
I woke up at 5:00 in the morning I completed my daily routine...and I made some porridge...and it was 5:30 I went to Ritsuka's room..."Ritsuka...yaaa..Ritsuka...wake up...I am leaving...I made some porridge have it ok...". She woke up and said "Sure..have a safe trip bye bye..." . It was a cold morning..it was still dark..I reached the school...a few of my classmates were in the corridor...I went and sat in my place... waiting for my friends...in the class..."Good morning Yuuki !!". It was Lisa..I replied her the same...and we spoke about some stuff.. "Morning Yuuki.." it was Eugene... I couldn't face him....since yesterday..but I managed a smile and said. "Morning Eugene". Lisa shouted "You know what Eugene...Yuuki isn't the only one sitting here...I am also a human...didn't you notice me..huh...?". Eugene replied "Who said you are a human...". She gave a look of anger...he just pushed her face and sat next to me... our homeroom teacher came in and said "Students...come and assemble at the ground our buses have arrived..." . We all went down and were getting into the bus...it was a three seater bus..so me Eugene Lisa could sit easily...but before sitting...it begun...the fight.. "I said I am sitting in the middle next to Yuuki ..." Lisa shouted . "
"No way...think you are..then dream ..I am sitting next to her..." Eugene shouted. They were fighting like hell..all the other people were intrigued by their fight and comments...I said "I decide where I sit...both of you sit next to each other... Eugene knee that I would prefer window seat so he was sitting in the middle...and I sat...poor Lisa was next to Eugene...Lisa was burning... Eugene felt proud to win...I thought "great people". I gave smile and looked at Lisa and Eugene and said "Ok then let's enjoy the trip as much as we can..." she gave a smile and said..." Sure who's stopping us..." We started chatting and shouting...and thats how our bus ride went on...
Finally the joyful bus ride came to an end....we climbed down... and we were searching for places to put up our tent....and we found a place...and we put our bags...so that they know that its reserved... "Not a bad place isn't it...?" I asked her. She said "yep...." we started talking ....we sang songs together....it was fun...it was getting dark soon so we begun to put our tents Eugene helped us and finally we put up our tent...it was really good pretty strong too....
We all did fishing close by ...and had campfire night....we all sang songs and enjoyed....that's it.....anyways we all went to our tents and were ready to doze off to sleep... me Eugene and Lisa were in the same tent..so she asked " Hey tomorrow evening we will be starting off to home isn't it...?" I replied with a slight sad face and said "Hmm..yeah..but we have all morning right don't worry..." She gave a warm smile and dozed off to sleep...I flicked her cheek and went to sleep...and Eugene was already snoring like a pig...that idiot..It was 7:15 in the morning we woke up...and our breakfast was porridge from a nearby famous restaurant... it was not bad...for breakfast...so we had it just to fill our stomachs to roam and to explore the place.... then suddenly the teachers opened a room and we all started shouting Eugene me and Lisa included...there were bicycles in it...superb...me and Lisa managed to get two bicycles for ourselves....mine was pink hers was lavender coloured Eugene took a royal blue colour one...it was fine any colour to explore....and to remove the pile of work off our legs...to reduce it up in anyway...we started off...the teachers warned us to be back at sharp 1:15 at the place of our camp....we nodded and rod off our bicycles...we went to the forests they were soo good...fresh...we went into main streets after a while...people were wandering here and there....three of us stopped by a tiny shop for lollipop....we took a selfie....actually it was like a selfie with the tiny shop.....and the people over there....all of them were included....I parked my bicycle and went to get one lollipop....Eugene and Lisa were there next to my cycle to protect it....I giggled looking at how they were guarding my bicycle...I went and asked for lollipops and I bought them...as I was about to leave and old man who was reading newspaper stood up and said "Oh my my...don't stay here...please go away as soon as possible...you and those two...especially...its not too far...its coming closer....close by..day by day...be careful...of it..." he said in gruff old voice.. I got tensed...and felt weird too... Lisa noticed my strange conversation between the old man and me and she came and said... "What's wrong no lollipops here ?"
I Replied "no here they are..." by showing them...
"then what's the problem let's go then..we have a lot to explore yet..." she said enthusiastically..
I said "The old man is telling me somethi-" before I could complete my sentence the old man started speaking again "Its not too far...just a few days..for it to occur...it can no longer endure it...it will be back....the seal...patch..has become weak...now...please leave from here... three of you it's dangerous for you here in this place...you cant let it be you...." We were shocked and scared to death what was he speaking off...and what was it..
I asked "What is coming closer...what is going to occur in few days...and why is it dangerous for us to stay here...and why is it only the both of us..?" I was really in a mystery....i felt.. He was loosing his voice he started coughing and said slowly.. "You will know...sooner....you will search for me....but be careful my dears...please leave....cause you don't want to know....." We looked at each other.. we felt if It was prank or film shoot..so we turned behind and checked our surroundings and turned forward and I asked "Pleass tell u-" I was shocked before I could complete my sentence...the old man disappeared...he was not there..when we turned forward... I asked the people over there "Excuse me , there was an old man sitting here...reading a newspaper he just stood up and was speaking to us....do you know where did he head off to please...if you please tell us..." I asked the person sitting on the wooden bench... The person looked at us from top to bottom and said "Are you trying to play with me...ha.." we were shocked . Eugene came and said "Umm..sorry about them "
He started shouting "Then what...first of all there wasn't any person who was sitting here reading newspaper..and that too an old man...you people stop messing up with the outsiders.." He stood went off the roadway..
Eugene gave a stern look to Me and Lisa....we were left in shock...no old man huh...
"Whats with the mess huh....girls explain it...NOW..!!!" Eugene shouted. We just told him everything that has happened. He said "Hmm....anyways let's go..".
We gave sick laugh to each other and looked at our watches it was 10:55 we still have 3hrs more to spend..we took of our bicycles and went on...slowly we tried to forget everything that has happened...we managed to enjoy our bicycle ride...and we really did...it was awesome....such wonderful places we felt like we visited all of them.... its was 1:00 we started figuring out our way back to the camp and successfully we did. We reached back and we picked up our bags and put them in the trunk of the bus...all of us were here..,,we had some lunch..and rested...it was 2:30 we started the counting of the people to check whether everyone is back or not... we were perfect....full strength was back... then suddenly me Eugene and Lisa realised that we left our wallets in the basket of the cycles we informed our teachers and got down the bus... and went into the bicycle room got back our wallets....and came back....
We were left in awe....I was shocked ...the bus has already started and was at a distance where it was about to disappear....
