Chapter 9: Studying Together
The next day was Monday and time to go to school again. The atmosphere around Felicia and Jack was different and everyone in class found out really quickly because they were a little closer than normally. "Did something happen between the two we don't know about?" asks MJ and Peter says, "They had a date yesterday. Jack returned with lipstick marks."
MJ almost fell from her chair when she heard that and Liz asks Felicia, "Did that really happen?" "It wasn't really a date. I just found Jack while walking down the street. We talked a little and went watch a movie together," says Felicia and Peter says, "What about the clothes you bought? They really fit him." "I know I chose them for him. Since your family only owns baggies clothes or hoodies. Where, by the way, is the shirt I bought you?" says Felicia and Jack says, "At home waiting for after the exams."
"So you won't put it on?" asks Felicia and Jack says, "Not until it's official. So get used seeing me in hoodies or baggy clothes until then." "Fine by me," says Felicia with a smile in her face as class begins and their teacher says, "Next week are final exams so prepare well. That goes for you too Jack. Don't want you to repeat the year even if you are doing fine right now."
After class Felicia asks, "How about studying together?" "And where do we go?" asks MJ and Peter says, "Not to us to cramped." In reality, they could but they didn't want someone to find his spider-man spandex that was under his bed almost completed. "How about my house then?" asks Harry and everyone agreed to that.
After school, they went towards Harry's house and meet with his father, Norman Osborn. "Ah, isn't that Peter good to see you are you all going to study together for the exams?" asks Norman seeing seven students and Harry says, "Yes father." "That's good you could learn a thing or two from Peter," says Norman with a smile until he sees Jack who he dislikes because he was dumber than bread.
"I will leave you to your studies then. I will return home late Harry so eat with your friends before they go home," says Norman as he leaves them. "Your father always like that?" asks Flash and Harry says, "He always wants me to be as intelligent as Peter since we know each other and despises that I played with Jack because of his failing grades."
"He will be surprised after those exams then," says Felicia and Liz asks, "Why?" "Jack being studying now harder because we change the bids of our bet," says Felicia and everyone was interested in that and she says, "If he loses we won't go on a date ever again." "And if he wins?" asks MJ and Felicia says, "We are going out if he wins." 'That's why he said yesterday it's do or die,' thinks Peter and Liz says, "Isn't that a little hard? What if you love each other and just because of that bet you won't go out."
"My mother would have something against it if he doesn't pass that's why I'm forcing him to win the bet. So my mother doesn't have too many reasons to force us apart when I present him to her," says Felicia and MJ asks, "Is your mother that picky about that?" "She is the last time I brought my girlfriend home she took her out like nothing. I have more hope with Jack," says Felicia stunning everyone and Peter, who was drinking something began to cough because it entered the respiratory tract and Jack helped him by massaging his back with one hand while saying, "You never told me that you were bisexual."
"You have a problem with this?" asks Felicia and Jack says, "Absolutely no problem just worried that you will chase after skirts even when we are together." "We can do that together if you want to spice our relationship up when needed," says Felicia making everyone go red and Peter whispers, "I would never let her go if I were you."
"Now lets study," says Jack as they begin. Jack and Peter were racing against each other in solving the problem while helping the others and Liz says, "Jack you sure changed after that bet. I remember when you needed two hours for one problem back then now you take half the time for the entire book." "Yeah, I still remember how he needed everyone's help with just one problem when we studied together in the past," says MJ and Peter says, "He just lacked motivation that was all."
They continue to study and Jack or Peter helped them and MJ says, "Now it really feels I'm talking to twins." "I know what you mean back then it was just for fun but now that both are showing their smart side they really could be twins," says Liz and Felicia asks, "MJ, why do you have a crush on Jack?"
MJ gets red and says, "Because he helped my family in the past." "How?" asks Felicia and Liz says, "MJ's dad was a drunk until Jack best him up." "Is that true?" asks Felicia and MJ says, "Yes, my father changed since that day. Even though Jack got punished for that by his dad for doing that. My father got out of his depression of my mother running away after that and stopped drinking recklessly. He still drinks a beer once in a while when he watches a game but he never got drunk since then."
"So he was your hero," says Felicia and MJ turns red and Flash asks, "What are you three talking about?" "Nothing just about Jack's heroic deeds," says Felicia and Flash says, "Really maybe include he saved me, my sister and my mother from an abusive father. My mother was scared of calling the cops and even when MJ's father came over once in a while to ask if everything was alright she said everything was alright when it wasn't. Jack called the cops on him when he was about to beat me and my mother. Now they are going through a divorce and my father has to stay away from us for 500m."
"You aren't sad about that?" asks Felicia and Flash says, "Not really it's better this way and I see my mother smile again once in a while when she sees MJ's father." "What are you pointing at?" asks MJ and Flash says, "Nothing just saying your father and my mother are single so it wouldn't be wrong both going out one of those days."
"Oh, I can already imagine that family," says Jack and Felicia says, "You nothing against that?" "Why should I? I'm not responsible for their relationship and they would be a good family of five people if you ask me. Flash's sister is really cute and his mother is a good cook. If my mother was dead I would try to get them together," whispers Jack to Felicia, who says so everyone could hear her, "So you think they would look like a good family to you."
"Really," says Jack to Felicia and death stares came his way not only from MJ but from Harry and Peter too. "Are you serious?" asks Flash and Jack says, "Yes, after all, you are with Liz and MJ would become your sister and your sister would profit the most of it having a normal father figure in her life."
"So you were looking at it that way," says Flash and Jack says with a smile, "And you could protect MJ too from boys that she doesn't like near her." The death stares came back but only from Harry and Peter while MJ was thinking over what Jack just said.
After every eating, they split up and Jack says, "I will accompany Felicia to her home. See you later." Both walk towards her home and Jack asks, "Your mother really that hard on your boy and girlfriends?" "Yes, she even did a background check on one of my girlfriends. Never had a boyfriend before," says Felicia and Jack says, "I will have to show myself from my good side then."
"That would be good if possible. She is good at bringing the bad side of people out when she interrogates. So let's just hope for the best when the time comes," says Felicia as they arrive at her doorstep and Felicia says, "Study hard or we won't be able to go out." "Don't worry about me. I'm already catching up on advance material," says Jack as he shows a book on advanced mechanics to her and she says, "You really sure you gonna pass. Then don't let me down." She kissed him and enters the building. 'Just wait a little longer.'
The week passes fast, he studied a little about medicine and mechanics in his free time. Jack like promised as Soldier Zero returned to The Hideout. He sits down with his armor on and he waits for Felicia to come. But she didn't and began to worry when Venom says, [Something might have happened.] [Really, no shit Sherlock. Let's go ou-] says Jack when he receives a call from Peter.
"Something happened?" asks Jack and Peter says, "I see your friend in some trouble beside the docks. Do I help?" "Yes, I'm on my way," says Jack as he stands up and begins to move towards the docks. [Should I take over?] asks Venom and Jack says, [You crazy want to give them a heart attack both. You stay hidden until they leave then you can come out.] Jack takes his rifle in his hand as he almost is there.
He sees Peter and Felicia surrounded and begins to shoot at his enemies and says, "You two run." They do so as Jack jumps down and puts the rifle on his back and puts his hands on shotguns he has in the holsters on his back waist and begins to use them now. Shooting the criminals down once the two weren't around Jack says, [Now you can come out.]
The people were shooting at him but they only see how the armor slowly was wrapped around by something black that stopped the bullets and Jack became bigger and Venom came out and the people became scared because Venom's hands became shotguns who killed them far easier than Jack did and Jack says, "Keep one alive I want to know who attacked her." "Will do so," says Venom as he begins a mayhem on the docks until only one was alive and he picks him up and says, "Now who sent you after her?" "Demon!" says the man and Venom says, "I can be far worse than one now tell me before I lose myself and kill you too."
"I-i-it wa-a-as the Kingpin," says the man scared and Venom asks, "Where can I find him?" "I don't know. Nobody does. He calls and we do as ordered," says the man and Venom asks, "What now?" "Do what you want but clean this place up," says Jack and Venom says, "My pleasure as he opens his mouth and the man began to scream as he enters Venom's mouth." They cleaned up and Venom returns into Jack and says, [A fine feast to bad I had to destroy the quality by killing them with the shotguns.] [Maybe you will get some nice food once we find the Kingpin,]says Jack and Venom says, [Maybe if he is healthy if he is like all those here then it's just a waste of time.]
Jack begins to move when he feels that he is being followed and takes another turn into an alley and waits behind a dumpster. Then a woman with red hair enters it and Jack recognizes her as Natalie Rushman just that she had black clothes on that looked like a combat suit. After passing the dumpster Jack comes out and points his shotgun against her head and says, "Why are you following me?"
"It's a free country," says Natasha and Jack says, "It is and I could just kill you. But I won't now leave before I change my mind." "You not gonna shot me because you are a hero?" asks Natasha and Jack says, "I'm retired. I just helped some friend that needed help." "And killed a bunch of people that could have lead me to one of my objectives. Now I have to wait for a new group to appear," says Natasha and Jack says while putting his gun back into its holster, "Your problem not mine. I will leave now."
"You won't," says Natasha that grabs Jacks' arm and tries to bring him to the ground. But Jack doesn't even move and says, "Really, you sure about that." Jack had in his free hand the other shotgun and says, "My enemies normally die you know. Now let go." His finger was on the trigger and was about to shot when she let go and Jack says, "See it wasn't that hard now leave."
"We will see each other again," says Natasha angry and Jack says, "I hope not one angry woman is enough for me." Natasha leaves and Jack looks everywhere where he was touched by her for a tracker but doesn't find one and leaves directly towards the hideout.
