Chapter 3: Chapter 3: Following Mother

「System Preparation... blood increase!... Healing preparation wound percentage 2% time potentially spent: ranges between 1 to 3 minutes.」
Aiyun leads Qiu Li to what appears to be a secret base, running at full speed Qiu Li can't shake the feeling of danger. Aiyun stops and turned around to face Qiu Li. She grabs his hands and rests it into her palm. Without any need for context, he hugs his mother and begins running again.
"Qiu Li, I'll meet up with you.. but there's something I must do."
Aiyun Li stands with tears in her eyes... uncertain if she will make it back alive, she clenches firmly onto her locket. Suddenly a tall man in a suit appears before her, he carries a gun pointed at Aiyun. She glances back to find Qiu Li gone. A smile from her face, she feels a deep relief.
'Been a long time Aiyun, we haven't seen you for 3 months. Do you care to explain that to me.'
Aiyun snickered taunting the man, this caused him to become pissed. He couldn't be anymore irritated but he still tries to remain calm. 'Acting this way won't get us anywhere Aiyun... just tell me where's the boy at.'
He places a false smile on his face, knowing that this won't get her to talk a frown quickly draws on his face.
Qiu Li who was believed to be long gone is currently hiding behind a large oak tree, not making a sound staying as quiet as possible. But how long can that last.. just by looking at them he could tell that they were a group of rankers. Listening to their conversation he feels a large amount of bloodlust coming from that man, and instead of fearing him all he felt was anger and disgust. Why wouldn't he, his mother who had been thought to the dead is now facing death right now? But he knows he has to keep his own bloodlust to a minimum, or they'll find him. Before he left his house, Qiu Li grabbed a knife in case something happened.
Now he knows that he chose to right option. "How am I going to get close, I'm not strong enough to fight all three of them." Today is the first time Qiu Li questioned his ability. He was born gifted, at 14 he's already 5'9 or 175cm, 162 lbs or 73 kilos and an athletic lean body type with broad shoulders. His muscles aren't fully developed so with clothes on you can't tell. And a 6'0 wingspan or 182 cm
Even with being gifted, that won't be enough to take three guys down. His father wouldn't allow him to work out nor fight unless he was gaining to much weight. Qiu Li's father only believes in drinking and gambling. And because he's such a hero they allow him to be a jerk to anyone and everyone.
Qiu Li was reading the situation, he saw that his mother was relieved. So he's prepared to stay hidden until something bad occurs. He watches as his mother seems to handle the situation in a childish way.
The man points his gun back at Aiyun.. fiercely he begins to demand an answer from Aiyun.
'Calm down, Joseph!'
My name.. is not Joseph.!.' Joseph yells.
Aiyun smirks, angering him he clocks his gun. 'Joseph you don't want to that!. clearly irritated he place his index finger on his gun. But then Qiu Li remembers what gun that was when he was younger his father used to carry a gun. It was the same model as the one this man has .44 Remington magnum. A revolver that Qiu Li's father always questioned if it was good. In the 1900s it was once known as the most powerful revolver, But now it's being pointed at his mother.
Just before he fired the gun, Qiu Li snuck behind the three men. He grabbed two bricks and bashed their heads in. Before the man realized it, he grasped one of the men's guns and pointed it at the back of the head.
The scenery grows silent. The rain becomes heavy, the sounds of their surroundings flush out and the sounds of rain fill their minds.
'This him?'
Aiyun shows her expression on her face, she's wildly amazed. She just watched her son sneak up on both her and the three men, bash two of their heads in with bricks. The only thing that she can think of is if he was here the entire time how come she didn't sense him, or hear him, or just notice him at all. She didn't notice until the two went down. "That means his body is beginning to awaken... an Assassin type." her face became cold. She isn't thinking of killing anyone, but she'll have to murder the two behind him. As she was thinking the men stand, but before they could clinch him. She shoots both of them, gaining the man Aiyun calls Joseph to bring his attention to her. Creating an opening for Qiu Li, he shoots the man in his popliteal fossa causing the man to collapse to the ground.
'You shot me behind my knee.'
He can't believe what just happened, he can't stand. Each time he tries to he falls straight to the ground. His leg drips with blood, eyes are red from the pain. Aiyun walks up to him and points the gun to his head. 'I said you weren't going to do anything, Qiu Li close your eyes.' Qiu Li did as his mother said.
*Bang*
One gunshot went off, Qiu Li knew he should've covered his ears as well as closed his eyes. He didn't want to see a dead body so he walked around the corpses. Aiyun walks him away from the area and once far enough told him to open them. His eardrums were still banging against itself, and the ringing was still consistent. He saw his mother put her creamy white hair in a bun, and place her gun in her pouch.
They walk further through the woods, once they got inches from the secret base, Aiyun told Qiu Li to stay behind her. She pulled a card out of her coat pocket and place it up to the scanner on the near wall. The door creaks open and the lights slowly lit the room.
'Welcome new ranker!'
