Chapter 27: -26-
"LET'S stop this lie, please." Iyon ang unang lumabas sa bibig ni Skye pagkaupo pa lamang ni Celine sa upuang katapat niya sa coffee shop na iyon.
A week has already passed after that damn party and he still have not got the chance to talk to Celine. The last time he tried to talk to her was the day after the party. And he can't concentrate because he saw Alayna at the same restaurant with a guy.
Ang talagang plano niya ay ang ayusin muna ang ginawang gulo bago kausapin si Alayna, but seeing her with another man makes him see red. Hindi na niya napigilan ang sarili at kinompronta niya ito.
Only she cried infront of him, blurted how hurt she is and his mind went blank. Namalayan na lamang niyang wala na ito sa harap niya.
He had let her go that day but he promised to himself that he would come to her soon and will never let her go then. First, he has to talk to the person who started it all.
Nang bumalik siya sa table kung saan niya iniwan si Celine ay agad niyang sinimulan ang usapan tungkol sa nangyari nang nagdaang gabi ngunit hindi pa man siya nakakarating sa punto niya ay nagpaalam na itong may nakalimutang mahalagang meeting at kailangan na nitong umalis.
Ilang araw din niyang tinangkang kausapin ito ngunit lagi nitong idinadahilang busy ito at hindi maaaring makipagkita sa kanya.
He was getting a lot more frustrated when he learned that Alayna left and no one can or wants to tell him where she is.
Hanggang sa mapika na siya sa mga palusot ni Celine. He sent her a text message saying if she won't really talk to him about the matter, he will go straight to her parents and tell them the whole truth. That made her running to the coffee shop to meet him. Dapat pala noon pa niya naisip na sabihin iyon dito nang natapos na sana ang problema niya.
"You know we can't. My father would kill me!" nanlalaki ang mga matang sabi nito.
"We had a deal. It will never go public. But you talked to my father. Told him we were finally engaged and that I was a bit shy to tell him earlier so you volunteered to tell him instead? That's really childish, don't you think?" kunot ang noong sabi niya rito.
"What the hell is the problem with that? Why can't we do this for real? I mean I am single and you are too so what's the big deal?" simpleng sagot nito na lalo lamang nagpainit sa ulo niya. So this was her plan all along.
"I don't like you."
"And what? You like that brat, what's her name again? Alayna? You're kidding right? Like who would really choose someone like her over me, really?"
Pumintig ang sentido niya. Hindi niya kailanman inisip na manakit ng babae but this woman is really getting to his nerves. Kailangan na niyang tapusin ang pakikipag-usap dito bago pa siya makagawa ng hindi maganda.
"I'll explain everything to my family. As for you, I'm giving you three days to explain to you father. After that I'd be doing my own move." Tumayo siya. "And I should be warning you as well, the second time I hear you saying some bad things about Alayna and I won't be as nice as I am right now."
"What the hell does that girl has that I don't for you to be reacting like that huh?"
"Everything that you don't have." And he walked out.
Pagkasakay sa sasakyan ay dinampot niya ang cellphone at nagtitipa doon. He needs help and he knows exactly who can help him.
