Chapter 35: High Grade Safe
The dinner ended on a high note, well for the elders and Lorenzo that is. As for Luna, she was blushing crimson red until it all ended; the two mothers were too busy planning their game plan on buying baby stuff and the fathers just smiling at their wives as if what they were doing was so normal. 'I am sure there will be no bun in the oven any time soon...'
Looking dejected, Luna could do nothing but bite her tongue as Lorenzo kept on encouraging the elders more. If glares could kill, he would surely have been already rotting six feet under the ground.
They were only able to go home at around 9:45 PM as Margaret and Scarlet didn't want Luna to be sleeping late, as they deemed it 'not good for the mother-to-be'.
While on the road, Luna slapped Lorenzo's shoulder as he was chuckling as he couldn't stop dropping sexual jokes here and there, teasing Luna more about the "baby in the stomach". "Why would you even engage with the topic! You made the situation worse!" Luna glared at him as the stoplight turned red halting the vehicle on the road.
Looking at Luna, Lorenzo just smiles and reaches for Luna's hand which she tries to release from his hold but ends up just giving up as she was unfortunately not as strong as him.
Taking their entwined hands, Lorenzo kisses Luna's hand observing her changing expressions. Broadening his smile, Lorenzo looks up at the red stoplight making sure it was still red.
Turning to Luna, he hides a smirk as he slowly leaned to her for a kiss. Seeing that Luna was actively trying to pull away, Lorenzo immediately pulled her hand to him making Luna's lips drop to his. "Why can't I encourage them when I want the same thing?" Lorenzo raised his brow baring his eyes on Luna's.
Sitting up straight again and shifting gear, Lorenzo starts to drive while still holding Luna's hand all the way back home.
As they reached Luna's apartment complex, Luna was still in a daze. Only getting put when Lorenzo begins to lean on her again to score another kiss.
Rushing out, Luna runs to the entrance thinking that she was safe from the beast until he reappeared in front of her circling his arm around her waist. "Where do you think you're going?" He tilted his head, looking down on the little woman turned little girl trying to run away from him.
"I was-s just going to my apartment..." Luna's blush flared up again. 'Damn this beast! What did he want now! Wasn't one stolen kiss enough for one night?!'
"You were trying to leave without giving me my 'goodbye kiss'? And even just ran out of my car? What if there was another car, and it was careless and accidentally hit you?" Lorenzo huffed.
"I have never given you goodbye kisses why should I give them now?" Luna raised her brow challenging Lorenzo.
"Well I want them now," the big man-child started to wail making the onlookers look at them oddly. PDA on the rise!
"Go home!" Luna pulled away trying to run away.
Holding her hand back and pulling her to his body, Lorenzo whispered, "I'll let you go this once but next time there will be an interest, am I clear?" With that, Lorenzo finally let her go. Watching her get on the elevator, he stood there waving goodbye to her as the doors slowly closed. Not leaving until he was sure the elevator reached her apartment level.

The next day was a big and busy day for Luna and Lorenzo. The partnership proposal meeting with one of the largest investment firms in the world, the Villanueva's Investments, was just a few weeks away. The pitch was almost done and finishing touches were just being done.
The proposal papers were soon going to be secured in a high grade safe for safe-keeping; where the only ones who can possibly access it are some of the higher ups of the company.
That specific report was tirelessly made by Luna and her secretary alongside Lorenzo's pointers. As a result, the report was finally finished after just a little over a month. The whole process stretched almost everyday with Luna's usual workload still the same.
The safe was located in a secret compartment under Luna's desk. A specific code needed to be punched in to even open the secret compartment before getting to the important papers. So in case of a burglary by regular thieves or business competitors, the important files were safely kept. But just in case there was an emergency and Luna and her secretary were not present to open the safe, the board of directors were given access to it.
