Chapter 3: The first step...
Kron woke up to the smell of burnt wood and went into a fit of coughs as he woke up.
When Kron woke up his vision was still woozy and he had little strength left in legs.
Kron tried to raise himself with his hand but then he felt as if he were grabbing onto something and he remembered to sword.
After debating with himself Kron decided to sheath the sword with the very convenient sheath that was only a couple feet away.
Kron started to get a better smell of the smoke in the air and remembered the events which only happened hours ago, according to the sun the battle started not long after sunrise and now it was only noon, and the smoke was still there.
Energy and adrenaline rushed into Kron as he tried againto get up managing a wobbly gait while using the sword as a sort of cane. He approached the exit of the warehouse which was partly hidden by the trees and he saw the village.
slowly limping to the village Kron heard breathing and rushed to it as fast as he could. moving through dead bodies looking for the breathing Kron found Josh impaled by a sword into the ground.
Suddenly Josh's eyes widened and Kron panicked.
"What happened?!"(Kron)
"That sword, where did you get it?!"
Slightly stuttering from shock Kron replied," I. It was in the warehouse, near the back."
Josh started to murmur to himself, "a blade as black as night with streaks of red like blood flowing down its length... the legendary sword Coreiseuse, the sword of wrath."
Suddenly Josh's eyes widened again, " Boy you must leave now the bandits are gone for now but they might return soon, leave me here I don't have long left but you can't be left here."
Kron realized there was nothing he could do, for Josh or the village. Josh felt so helpless, weakness, despair, anger, and hate Kron felt all those emotions run through him for his inability to help and the bandits for harming his village.
Kron stood up slowly as Josh's eyes lost their light, "I will avenge this village no matter what I'll have to do. Kron turned around and slowly walked back to his small house at the outskirt of the village.

Arriving back at the dilapidated house you could see the signs of the bandits here to, for example the way the front door with no lock was kicked down or the scuffle Mark's on the floor, fortunately there weren't any really valuable things here so Kron ignored it shuffled to his room.
Looking around his room was untouched which was really surprising and there was also a note on his desk. It read, " Kron if your reading this then I have left for my own journey so don't feel to helpless about the villagers. If you are looking for revenge I suggest you don't go because you don't want that kind of blood on your hands, but if you are really going to follow through on this there is a city north of the village about a weeks journey away." - The Old Man
Kron started to tear up, was he being left alone now? everyone around him was leaving so fast, first Josh and the village but the old man also left without saying anything. Kron stood there for a couple of minutes to calm down and finally came to a decision, he would find revenge for the village and head to city north of the the village.
Kron went to his bed and pulled out the pendant that was his keepsake and started to walk back to the village to gear up.
Returning to the village and walking around he realised that almost everyone was dead or dying and what was left were only a few kids that hidden in their houses.
Kron decided to tell them of the city but ultimately left them to their own fates as he was going on a journey to find his revenge and didn't want the kids to burden him and didn't want to expose the kids to more of the cruelty of the world.
Leaving the kids behind Kron packed a map, dried meats, a water canteen, and his new sword and his amulet keepsake.
Then Kron took the first step on his journey of revenge towards the north to Visalia City

Kron trip log:
Log Day One-
Finally leaving the village was really painful but it also felt like a burden was lifted of my shoulders as I started my journey. The map showed that the first part of the trip would be mountainous but the rest would be moderately flat and straight.
I just entered the mountain ranges and they are tall! There are also many mountainous species that I've never seen before!
Log Day Two-
I've climbed many peaks today but are still many left to cross, but there are abundant sources of water and lots of game to catch, today a caught brush hare with a makeshift trap, it was tough meat but I also brang some seasoning to eat.
Log Day Three-
I can feel the winds at the end of this mountainous region but it is late so I will set camp here first.
I have become much more proficient with fire starting and what used to take me at least 10 minutes now only takes me 1 or 2 minutes!
Log Day Four-
I'm out of the mountains and onto the flat plains but the ground is really soft and takes a lot of energy to walk.
I also encountered my first monster, I guess there aren't many monsters in mountainous regions because it's less hospitable but the monster I fought with was a ferocious white petal snake! its poison deadly and could make you die within 10 minutes making your face pale hence the white and it had a petal mark on its forehead.
Log Day Five-
Today was really tough, I only have some water left and today I couldn't catch any game for dinner.
Log Day Six-
Today I met with some other travelers and we decided to head to the City together and they told me what they knew.
Log Day Seven-
We finally arrived at the city! I split up with the travelers and found an inn to stay at for a while as I go explore the city.
