I closed my eyes, trying to forget about those memories. I'm matured now, I realized that I held back the twins too much before. I'm mere kid that time, that's why accepting things were hard on my part.
Now, I'm genuinely happy for what they became. They've got the dreams that they want.
'I wonder if I could do that too.'
I suddenly opened my eyes when I bumped at Calix's back. I frowned when his awful scent lingered in my nose. I really hate it.
"Why did you---"
"Were here." He said and pointed the room with 'Teacher's Lounge' sign on it. "Come on." He said.
I nodded and followed him. He knocked at the door, three times. A moment after, the door opened. A old woman opened it.
"Oh my, your Prof. Garcia's twin, right?" She asked. I can't help but to rolled my eyes.
'Ain't it obvious? Everything in Calix face is in Felix's too!'
Calix nodded. "Yes, ma'am. Is he here?"
The old woman shook her head. "I'm sorry but he's not here. I think he's in library. Would you mind to wait inside?"
Calix shook his head. "Nope, no need. We'll just go there."
"We?" The old woman asked.
"All this time, she didn't notice me?" I whispered. I think Calix heard me because he elbowed me.
"Yes, ma'am." he said. "Ahmm, Ms. De Dios, this is Kyle and Kyle, this is Ms. De Dios. She's one of my professor way back when I'm studying here."
I force a smile. "Good day, ma'am."
The old woman genuinely smiled back. I suddenly felt guilty about what I'm thinking earlier.
"Oh my, you're so pretty. Are you an omega?" She asked me. She even held my hands and touch my face.
I smiled awkwardly. "Yes, ma'am."
I saw her eyes glimmered. "Wow Calix, you've got yourself a very pretty omega." She said while looking at Calix.
My eyes widened. "No, no ma'am! I'm not his partner."
"Oh, pardon. Then... you're Felix's partner?"
I shook my head. "No, ma'am. I'm not their partner, I'm their---"
I didn't finished my words when someone from my back. speak.
"Calix? What are you doing here?"
That voice, it's Felix! Ms. De Dios still holding my hands, I can't face Felix. I don't want to be rude to the old lady.
"Oh, Felix! Right on time. Your partner is here." She said. She looked at me. "He's here now, so I'm going." I just nodded.
"Calix, what was that? My partner? I have?" I heard Felix voice. "Who's this?"
I think he's pertaining me, so I decided to face him.
"Ahmm, hey?" I said awkwardly when I faced him. I saw how shock covered his face. "Felix?"
"Kyle?" I nodded. "Shit! Kyle!" He yelled and suddenly hugged me and lifted me. He even spun me! "I can't believe it!"
'He smells weird.' That's the first thing I noticed. I can't remember his usual smell but I swear, this scent that he's emitting is not for recessive alphas.
'It's so weak.'
I tapped his shoulders. "Let go, Felix!" I yelled and I'm glad he did. I punched his stomach when he put me down. "What the fuck was that?!"
"You're really here!" He yelled again and sigh, hugged me again. "Why are you here? Are you with mother? With father? Are you going to stay here?" He tightened his hug. "I really miss you!"
I chuckled. "Yeah, me too. " I tapped his shoulder. "Let go, Felix. Your students will see you."
He shook his head. "I don't care. I miss you." He mumbled.
I heard Calix groaned. "Felix, let him go. Kyle haven't eaten yet. Let's eat some lunch."
"Good idea." Felix said and held my hand. "Let's go." He said
My heart fluttered. I miss them. It's been 5 years since we'd eaten lunch together.
We went in a restaurant in front of the school. Calix seated beside me and Felix was in front of us. We ordered some food, while waiting for it, Felix talked.
"So why are you here?" He asked.
I can't tell him the real reason why I'm here. I looked at Calix to asked some help.
Calix cleared his throat. "He's here with his friends and since he's here already, he decided to visit us." He said. "Right, Kyle?"
I nodded. "Yes, yes, hehehehe."
'I'm sorry, Felix.'
"Oh, really. Where's your friend now?" Felix asked again.
"They already went home." Calix answered on my behalf.
I heard Felix chuckled. "Are you Kyle? Why are kept on answering?"
"He told me about it already, that's why I know. It's the same answer Felix, why bother?" Calix said.
"Ehh?" Felix mumbled. "Why don't you go here first, Kyle? Or you should just asked me so I could tour you and your friends."
I smiled awkwardly. "Calix's workplace was nearer. So I went there first."
"You chose him." I saw Felix pouted. "I'm jealous."
"Why would you be?" Calix asked him
"Shut up, freak." Felix rolled his eyes at Calix. "Kyle always choose you over me." He crossed his arms. "It irritates me."
'Wow, this attitude of his haven't change a bit.'
In the three of us, Felix is always the childish and playful one. When we were a kid, he always complains about anything that seems off for him. He don't want to feel left out. And he also hated when people compares him with Calix. They were maybe twins but their personalities was the counterpart of each other.
I frowned. "Sorry, sorry. Next time, I promise to visit you first."
That made him smile, his dimples appeared. "Really?! I count on that!"
"Of course. " I said. "I like your hair Felix than the last time." His hair has mahogany brown color which suited his usual undercut brush up hairstyle.
"Same, I think this suits me well."
My brothers shares the exact same face. If Calix main asset was his set of moles, Felix has dimples that really suits his personality. Felix has darker complexion than Calix whose has pale skin color. Felix's body was hunkier than Calix since he often go to gym. But Calix body was fine as it is. He's not skinny either.
"Here's your order." The waiter said while putting the foods at the table. The twins ordered burgers, fries, pizza and soda.
"Thanks." Calix thanked the waiter.
We're at the midst of eating when I called out Felix.
"By the way, Felix..."
"Hmm?"
"Your scent smells strange." I said. "It's so weak like almost nothing. You're an alpha, it shouldn't be like that."
"Oh this?" He said. "Calix made this."
Calix what?
"Felix!" Calix called him out. "I told you not to use it!" Calix is in rage.
I saw confusion in Felix's face. "Why? You said you need more trials, so I used it."
"You used it in the very wrong time! And I told you, it should be a secret."
Felix frowned. "What's wrong? Kyle's our brother, there's no problem about it. I don't think he would tell others about it. " he looked at me. "Right, Kyle?"
'Huh?'
I frowned in confusion. What are they talking about?
"What are you guys talking about?" I asked them. "Secret? What do you mean?"
Calix massaged his temple, while Felix's drinking his drink. After he finished it, he spoke.
"You know, Kyle. Our brother is a genius! He's part of this research cult---"
"It's not a cult Felix. It's a research team." Calix corrected him
Felix rolled his eyes. "Whatever." He said. "So like what I've said, he's of that team and they created this!" He said then showed me a cologne bottle.
"You brought here? I told you to kept it secure!" Said Calix.
"I'm keeping it secure, I swear." Said Felix.
I frowned. "They made a perfume?" I said. "What's the catch?"
"It's not just a perfume, it's is a scent changer!" Felix said. I narrowed my eyes amd shook my head.
"I still don't get you."
I heard Calix sighed and grabbed the bottle from Felix. "I won't give you more of this."
"What? Calix!" He tried to grabbed it back but he didn't succeed since Calix put it inside his pocket
"You overuse it!"
"I didn't!"
They looked like kids fighting over something. Felix is still trying to get back the bottle when I stopped them.
"Stop it, both of you." I said. "Felix, what do you mean by scent changer?"
Felix sat nicely at his chair. "The name states what it is. You could either erase your scent with it or change your scent."
I was shocked. "That thing exist?"
'I thought it only exist in fictional books.'
"Yeah!" Felix said then eat his burger. "Calix is one of the creators of it!"
I face Calix beside who looked like pissed at Felix's childishness. "That's awesome Calix! Can I have that too?"
"No." He firmly said.
"Why?"
He stared at me. "Because I say so." He said wiith stoic expression. "Besides, I have someone testing this for me and he's more careful using it than Felix."
"I heard that!"
"Shut up."
"Eh? Just one bottle!" I said, trying my luck on him.
"No. It's not approve yet, I can't let it spill with public. It should be a secret project but someone didn't kept his mouth shut. " He said while looking at Felix with sharp gaze but Felix was just whistling as if he didn't heard his twin.
"Wohooo, lalala~" Felix murmured.
I heard Calix clicked his tongue. "Tsk. Come on, finish your food." He said to me.
I just sighed and do what he said.
Now, I feel curious about his project. I never thought that thing could exist! I wished I had that thing too.
After the three of us, eat we went out the food hub.
"Damn it, I still have my class." Felix hissed. "Kyle, would you mind wait for me at our house?"
I nodded. "Sure, but I don't know where it is."
"I'll take you there." Calix butted in.
"Are you sure? Don't you have any other appointments this afternoon?" I asked him
"I have but that could wait." Calix said. "Felix, you're out at 5 P.M. right?"
"Yeah." Felix nodded.
"Prepare foods later, I'll try my best to finish my work fast."
"Okay." Felix tapped my head. "I'm going now, Kyle. Wait for us, okay?"
I nodded. "Of course."
He hugged me again. "See you later." He whispered at my ears. He headed to the university after that.
Calix take me at their apartment which just few streets away from the university.
"This is the key. " he said and give me the key. "Make sure that you locked the door after I leave okay?"
I nodded. "I know, I'm not a kid, I know what to do."
He ruffled. "Yeah, yeah. Sure you are." I hopped out from the car, he waved his hands before leaving
I entered the house. The house was not that big like the house we have at the Rewick but it's just fine for them since they're just two sharing the house.
I sat the sofa at the living room. I opened the T.V. to watch something. Little did I know, I fell asleep.
I don't what's happening but I hear something within my head
"Kyle, I'm sorry. I don't need you anymore."
Who's that? Someone's talking. I opened my eyes and I saw a silhouette of someone in front of me.
"What are you saying?" I asked that person.
"I thought I need you but I'm wrong, Kyle. I should not have met you, marked you. I regret it."
I feel the pain at my heart.
"You're hurting me..." I said.
I don't know who is he, but he's words is so damn painful to hear.
"I'm sorry. Goodbye, Kyle." He said then walked away.
I ran after him.
"No... no... don't leave me..." I fastened my pace but I couldn't reach him. "Stop! Don't leave me!" He's not listening to me.
While running, I felt my tears fell.
"Don't leave me! I need you! Don't---"
I opened my eyes when I felt someone shaking my shoulder.
"Kyle! Wake up!" Slowly, I saw the person in front of me. "Are you okay? You're shouting something, I'm worried."
I bit my lips and hugged that person. "I'm scared... I'm alone... they left me..." I said while sobbing.
"Who?" He asked me while caressing my back.
I shook my head. "I'm alone... don't leave me..."
I heard him sigh. "You're not alone. I won't leave you, I promise." He said and made me face him. He wiped my tears. "Don't cry, I won't leave you." He said then caressed my face.
"Thank you... please don't leave me..."
He nodded. "Of course..." he smiled. "It's just a nightmare, it's fine now."
I nodded. "Yes... thank you Felix..."
