Chapter 2: A Beginning of a Past

I'm not, well I hope I'm not, oh gosh I'm late.
I sprint through the halls to reach my class. It's my first day in college and I can't believe I'm late for my favorite subject. Darn my sleepyhead self. I reached the doorway with my heavy breathing to find out that the professor is not here yet. Thank God. I grabbed my chest to catch my breath. I could see in the corner of my eyes that the people already inside are looking at me. I must look crazy from all that running, I dont care, Im not late. I search for any available seats and surprisingly there's only one person sitting at the front row. I sat there next to a girl with chocolate skin and black hair smiling at her phone. She glanced at me.
"Hi", she said.
"Hello", and we smiled at each other. She seems friendly.
"I'm Sasha", she offers her hand.
"Persephoné", I took it.
"Cool name.", she compliments, "yours too!", she smiles. I'm so nervous, college life will be very different, I hope I'll have new friends.
"Do I just call you Persephone every time or-", oop my name is too long. "oh you can call me Ellie.", she smiles again. "so uhh can we stop shaking hands now?", I looked at our hands to see that I'm still shaking hers, aggressively. I let go of it as soon as I realized what I'm doing. "s-sorry!", my voice high-pitched and my face clear with embarrassment. She chuckles. "It's okay Ellie. Your cute", and my embarrassment has just been doubled. I'm such an idiot. Moments later, a brown old man with round glasses holding a Starbucks cup and a laptop enters the room.
"My apologies. The line for this coffee was quite long." , he places his stuffs on his desk.
"Good Morning. I am Professor Namjoon Kim and I will be teaching you Psychology for two whole semesters." , he smiles, showing his deep dimples. Being so attractive even at an old age must be a talent. "Since this is our first day, I'll go easy on you guys and give everyone a chance to know everybody. For now, I'll introduce you to this course. As you may have known. Psychology is the science or study of the mind and behavior. But it can also be defined as the study of the soul. We are about to dive in to one of the most widely diverse sciences in terms of questions it proposes, the methods it applies, and the different schools of thought and discipline it contains. But before that, I want to know the significance of Psychology to you, why did you choose to take this course out of all the courses there is out there? Hm?", this is it, my most anticipated moment. I was about to raise my hand, someone suddenly said. " I want to know how women can change decisions within a milisecond even at the littlest situations and the need to wear the thickest make-up they can put on their face.", that was, rude.
I hear alot of men laugh as quietly as they can, even some women laugh along too. I don't even want to look at this guy.
"Your mother did not raise you all those years for you to talk about women that way.", Namjoon said. I can hear the class go "ooooh", it's what he deserves. Professor Kim more like professor legend. ha.ha. I may have a crush on him. "Maybe they weren't wearing it to satisfy men." Sasha adds. True, not everything women does is to seek for men's approval. "Okay okay. It was a joke. I get it." , he got roasted, "Well since you've already spoken, I want to hear a proper answer from you Mr.--", Namjoon
said.
"Hades. Hades Agnes."
what?
"What a coincidence.", Sasha looks at me with a smile, I give her a smile that looks more like a straight line. Whatever, still don't like him.
