Chapter 3: Others
I woke up thinking about what happened last night. Did she lie about not having a watch?
Then again there were others who didn't have a watch in the Sultana incident. The murderer might've mistaken them for a Watch holder.
So there are other things that i have to worry about aside from this timer reaching Zero?
This watch is a mystery. It might be a timer that we have to survive till it reaches Zero, Or the accidents are meant to kill us Watch holders and it doesn't matter if it reaches Zero. I was so busy figuring things out, I forgot about school. I'm gonna be late.
On my way to school I saw Samantha.
"Are they still bothering you?"
"Yes, even more annoying than usual thanks to you."
"Why are you letting them do this to you?"
"If I stand up for myself they would do worse things."
"Well we all have are own problems, it's up to other people if they would help others in need.
And besides I know what you're going through I've been bullied before too."
"You don't know what I've been going through.
These bullies are nothing to me. I have far worse things happening to me!"
Where did that came from? Geez it's not like she has a watch that counts down to her death and other things trying to kill her.
"I have far worse pro-"
"See ya." She left without letting me finish.
We arrived at school.
I forgot about the Quiz today, due to some things that are keeping me quite preoccupied.
this watch is even making my studies difficult. I have to do something in order to pass the quiz then I heard something from Vin, The overly excited person on our class who doesn't seem to run out of energy. They were talking about cheating.
"Vin"
"Oh hey Carson. Whats poppin."
"Not much not much, Hey do you think we should continue THAT plan?"
"Well the science teacher really isn't strict during Quizzes, We should be alright."
"Cmon, what if we get caught?"
"Trust me we won't."
I can't help but to give in to the temptation of cheating the quiz. But I don't have any other choice. I'll just have to make a cheat sheet within 4 minutes.
I quickly wrote all the things that might be on the quiz. I hid it under my desk with a tape.
and when the professor handed out the Question and Answer sheet I slowly took the cheat sheet under my desk. and so the Quiz has begun.
After the quiz was over I went to the roof top of our roof and saw Samantha and the other girls who were messing with her.
"You know the sun is nice and hot today wouldn't you say girls?"
"Huh? what are you blabbering about freak?"
"But I would be nicer if the sun was hot enough to burn you."
"Are you threatening me?"
"No I was just admiring the sun."
At this point I don't know what else to do save Samantha from them so I decided to make something up.
"You know your boyfriend wouldn't be so happy if he learns that his pretty girl friend is cheating on her"
"Who told you that!"
So my hunch was right she was cheating on her boyfriend. I'd say that was a 10% chance of guessing that she was cheating
"Does it matter?"
"Yes! Now tell me who told you that!"
"I might forget that you were cheating on him if you leave Samantha alone. Or would you prefer if your boyfriend discovers the truth and get Suspended?"
"Tch"
The girls left Samantha alone.
"What was that for? Wasn't I mean to you this morning?"
"I just don't want others to gang up on someone else."
"T-thank you...."
"Well that wasn't much and besi-"
"If you have feelings for me then the answer is no"
"Where did that come from"
"So of you don't have any feelings for me then why go to such lengths"
"Well, we're all gonna die anyway I'm just making sure I go to heaven"
Samantha had a very disturbed look after what I've said.
"Well, I don't feel so good I'm just gonna go home."
"Don't push yourself too hard"
Samantha didn't respond at all. Maybe she remembered something when I said those words I shouldn't have.
Not that it matters because.
I Only have 1,361 hours left to live
