Chapter 75: Get Back to Where You Once Belong
Rosa hastily dries her hair. She feels her whole being floating from exhaustion. Her mind drifts to Lala land as soon as she lays her body in the bed in her comfortable sleeping position.
At Athena's room, Nana Amor relaxes and is about to close her eyes when she hears groans. She blinks and focuses her sight to check the sleeping little girl. When Nana Amor reaches Athena's bedside, she sees her little head moves back and forth on the pillow and her face keeps on scrunching. The little girl murmurs some words. Nana Amor picks up traces of anger in her voice and facial expression. Modena made the right judgment to let her stay in Athena's room.
She gently pats the little girl's face to wake her up. "Athena, Athena, wake up."
Athena hears a soft voice calling her. She slowly opens her eyes blinking several times. "Nana…," she hugs her Nana Amor.
Godfather puts the dreamy military general back to reality. "Ulysses, any feedback from your hospital security?"
General Keitel stands up straightaway to take his phone from his pocket. His phone rings as he swipes to his contacts to make a call. The general looks at his phone screen lighting up. Recognizing the caller, he presses the green icon and put the phone in speaker mode.
"Report."
"Lieutenant Andrew Jager reporting! General Keitel, according to my assigned men, all communication devices in Ricardo Romeo's hospital room have been confiscated and kept in our base for inspection and monitoring.
The security cameras we put inside and outside the room to monitor everything showed only the assigned nurses came in and went out. However, on the particular afternoon that Madam Andrei said the kidnappers received a command call, we discovered Mr. Romeo secretly slipped a small paper in one of the attending female nurse's tray.
Through the hospital cameras we traced the nurse handing out the piece of paper to a man lounging at a corner outside the lobby. Luckily the security cameras outside have only been installed so they were unaware of that. We are hunting that man down right now. At this time, another team is on the way to arrest the nurse at her residence.
Ricardo Romeo is now back in the hands of the warden in the maximum security. End of report, Sir."
Godfather Midas looks satisfied with what he hears. His face relaxes right after the report ends. "No news should come out about this. I trust your judgment on this General Keitel. You can do anything to that notorious gang leader."
The warden puts Ricardo in a cramped space together with the surviving man who kidnapped Rosa. The next day Ricardo's right-hand man and his cohorts join them making their jail cell more congested.
As the jail guards slam the metal door with three security locks in place, the warden sneers at Ricardo, "At least you have your men to join you. They can now serve you better inside."
Senator Graysen Andrei strictly instructs special assistant Mihai to make sure Ricardo Romeo's case becomes a murder case to ensure them that he will get a death penalty rather than enjoying the time of his life in jail.
