Chapter 22: Later
Hazel approached Aiden and stood beside him. "Where will you go in this condition?" She looked at his apologetic face. "Come with me. I'll give you a ride." She added.
"I bring my car." Aiden replied. His voice was low. He still refused to look at her.
"How will you drive in that condition? Then I'll drive your car. I can leave my car here. I still have other cars at home." She told him.
Just before Aiden answered her, she said, "Don't be stubborn. Don't make me worry about you. You must come with me." Her voice was firm and she left no room for objection. She took the car keys from his hand and get on his car, waiting for him to get on.
Aiden stood still in a daze. Just a minute ago, he was supposed to went away. But what's this sudden turn? He tried to figure out what exactly is going on!
"Get inside the car, or else I'll leave without you." It was Hazel's voice again. It looked like she was threatening him to get inside the car!
He scratched his head awkwardly and approached his car. He get on with a bit hesitation. Why did she insist on bringing him home? Was she really worried about him?! If that's really the case, he will be the happiest guy in the world!
Ten minutes had passed and the car was uncomfortably quiet. Both of them can't say anything. They keep on glancing at each other again and again.
After what seemed to be forever, Hazel finally spoke up. "Your apartment is not that far from my house. I'll drive you home and I'll take a taxi from there."
"You can drive my car to your place. I'm okay with it." Aiden replied. An apologetic expression never leave his face.
"But I'm not okay with it. I prefer to take a taxi." She replied. She maintained a calm voice which she finds it quite hard. Maybe she was used to talking to him in a blunt way.
"Okay. If you prefer that, I won't insist." His voice was barely above whisper. Though he felt guilty, he really liked this new side of her. She was surprisingly calm and gentle to him. He thinks that it suited her more.
"Did something happened to you today?" She finally asked him. Though she thought it was rude of her, her curiosity took the best of her. What made him behave like this?
"Later. I'll tell you everything later." He muttered. He closed his eyes and rested his head on the back support of the car seat. It was such a long and tiring day. He was exhausted but having her by his side comforted him to a great extent. At that moment, she was his only paradise!
After driving him home, Hazel took a taxi to her house. But her mind was fully occupied by Aiden's strange behavior. She keeps on thinking about him even after she reached her home. She tried but she can't get him off of her mind.
What's wrong with her? She's too busy to think about a guy! After two days, the media will report about her arrival and her revenge will be officially started!
When she came here, she gave herself a week to settle all other things. And after that, she will start her revenge towards Xander Yang. But Aiden was not included in her plan! She never planned to meet him.

Marcus was busy working at his office. It was almost 1 p.m. there in London. He keeps on glancing at his phone as if he was expecting for someone's call. Then when it was exactly 1 p.m., his phone went off.
He picked up with a smile and answer the call.
"Hello." He said with a smile.
"Hello, Mr. Lim." It was Janice who was on the other side of the line.
Since Marcus returned to London, Janice used to call her everyday at 1 p.m. which is 10 p.m. in Korea. Apart from this, she texted him in her freetime and the latter replied him in his freetime as well.
But due to the huge time difference between the two countries, their freetime are not matched most of the time; so the amount of messages they sent each other per day is not much.
Marcus always finds it fun talking to her. Her innocent and cheerful manner somehow comforted the gang boss. Though he hate to admit, he always look forward to 1 p.m. everyday!
"Are you busy? Should I not call you?" Janice asked him. Her voice were low but beautiful. She knows that it was working hours there in London; so she was always afraid to disturbed him.
"No, it's fine. Where are you?" Marcus reassurred her. Somehow he loves to hear her apologetic voice.
"I just reached home. Are you at work?" Janice asked as she entered her small yet tidy and neatly arranged house. She hurriedly take a seat in one chair of her kitchen.
"Yes. You should close your cafe a little more early. It's not safe to walk around late at night." Marcus opined. She always made him worry by going home very late.
She's only a weak and fragile woman. What if something happens to her? Just the thought of it could drive him crazy!
"I'll do that." Janice replied with a satisfying smile. "Are you worried about me?" She asked him.
"To tell the truth, yes. I'm worried. What if something happens to you on your way home?" He bluntly said. He was never the type to tell lies. Throughout his life, he always stays true to his heart. But this woman's frankness was for sure at another level!
"That's enough for me now. But I think I'll be greedy later." Janice giggled. She always says whatever that is on her mind.
"How?" Marcus asked. He's quite amused by this woman's daring nature. He never met a woman like her before.
"Be patient, Mr. Lim. You'll find out about it later." She told him with confidence. Then she ended the call.....
