Chapter 1: Enlightenment
Asura's Pov
"My name's Asura and I'm 17 years old, how about you miss?" Asura
The woman ignored me and asked me about my appearance.
Are you blind woman?
Blinded by my handsome self?
Just kidding
"Well, I have a black hair, black eyes, normal body, and a tan skin. Not too shabby for a villager, I guess?" Asura
The woman nodded and asked me about my life.
"Well, I'm an orphan. The people I'm with said that my parents died when I'm just 3 years old during a goblin horde that took place in the village. They also said that without my parents, they wouldn't be able to defend it so they treated my parents as heroes which naturally leads them to treat me like a treasure. Well, of course, that didn't last long.
A family took me in, they loved me like their true son except for their daughter.. I think she loves me as -"
"AsurAAAA!!" ???
"What the, I'm just in the prologue of my dreams! Who the freak shouts early in the morning?!" I complained as if someone took my woman.
"I wonder who I am, my dear Asura?" ???
"Ohh, it's you Alice, uhhh why are you here?" I nervously asked
Alice is my beautiful childhood friend. She has a long black hair that reaches above her butt, green eyes, D cup chest and a fair skin that you wouldn't see everyday in a village filled with sunlight. She and I have a very strong relationship, almost like lovers, because I saved her once from a wolf cub when we sneakily went to the forest to play without the permission of her parents. We are just 8 year old child at that time. I thought she was cute when she was crying in my arms, but to be honest, I'm scared and wanna cry at that moment too. It was too gory when I smashed the head of the cub with a club multiple times, after all. Blood splattered, eyes gouged out, and a hint of flesh.. a breathtaking scenario indeed. But because I'm a man.. or boy, I stood up, legs trembling, and pretended that it didn't affect me at all.
Why do I have a club?
You can consider me as a coward or cautious

Got it from her father's belongings

"Have you forgotten?! We need to go to the church today! It's time for our Enlightenment. You eats vegetables, but why are your brain works so slow? " Alice looked at me with pity.

I'm really sorry for having a dumb brain
"Oh yes! The Enlightenment day! It's time to know what our job is. I'm really sorry Ali, let me pay you back by loving you more from now on!" Asura excitedly said with a hint of flirt in the end.
"W-what are you saying. Geez, just get ready, I'll wait for you downstairs." Alice's face became the epitome of red! She walked away quickly and went downstairs.
What a cute lady indeed!
I changed my clothes as quickly as I can and went down.
"I'm ready, let's go!"
Alice nodded and we went to the church together.

Outside the church..
"We are finally here! Ali, let's go inside." I said while grabbing the hand of Alice tightly.
"O-Okay.. (grabbing my hand suddenly like that, H-hmp)" Alice said and mumbled with a cute blush on her fair cheeks.
"uhh, did you say something?" I asked
"No! Let's just go inside." Alice answered
Entering the church, we saw 3 children lined up in front of the priest. They are the other 17 year old children in our village. We quickly lined up at back of the line.
"Now that all of you are here, let's start the ceremony. Jake, touch the crystal of enlightenment." The priest announced
"Yes, priest." Jake walked in front of the crystal.
Jake has red spiky hair, black eyes, a body without any sign of hardship, and tan skin.
He stared at the crystal for a moment and touched it. The moment he touched it, a light came out at the top of his hand that touched the crystal. The light formed the words "Master Swordsman"
"Oh! It's a common job with a high probability of becoming a Rare grade "Magic swordsman". If you gained the highest common job for swordsman, "Perfect swordsman" then, you might be able to achieve the Legendary rank "Hero" with low to medium probability. Well, Master swordsman is already good for a villager like you so don't mind it too much." The priest explained
"Yes, thank you priest." Jake said then looked at me and smiled maliciously in my way.
You want me to gouge out your eyes?
"Look at his face, smiling like an idiot." I whispered to Alice.
"Pfft, he is jealous of you for a long time now. Be careful from now on okay? Don't ever leave my side." Alice said with a blush on her face.
Rest assured, I'll never leave you even if you want me to
"Don't worry, I bet I'll get a good job from the enlightenment. I can already kill a wolf when I'm 8 years old remember? I might get the job 'perfect blunt weapon user' or 'perfect clubber' if there are even one." I said jokingly
"Pfft, you only know how to make people laugh! I think 'perfect clown' suits you better!" Alice giggled
Clown? What's that?
Have mercy on my brain!
"Charlie, it's your turn." The priest said
Charlie has brown hair that's long for a boy, orange eyes, gender-neutral body, and a very fair skin. Charlie had always been a silent person. He also rarely goes out of their house.
This guy.. is he really a man??
"..." Charlie silently walked and touch the crystal. There are a light that appeared at the top of the hand again but with different words, "Experienced Shield user".
"Medium probability of becoming a Rare grade "Paladin" Our church would welcome you to our Holy army when you became a Paladin, young man." The priest said with a poker face.
"Thanks" Charlie said and walked away from the crystal and stared at me as if he is waiting for his turn.
Your stare makes me feel weird
No no no, I don't swing that way!
"Pierre, It's your turn" The priest said emotionlessly as if he is disappointed about something.
Pierre looked at the priest and nod his head and walked slowly in front of the crystal,.. touched it and the light that came out of his hand is more brighter than the two previous one.
"HAHAHAHA!! Good, good, you really are a talented child. You already have the job Hero without leveling up. All of the people with that job were to be appointed as a commander in the Holy army! You should tell your parents this joyous event immediately!" The priest exclaimed while laughing like a madman.
This priest changed his mood too fast!
"Uhh... can I not join the arm-" before Pierre completed his sentence, the priest teleported near him and held him in his neck tightly
"Joining the army is mandatory, heroes who aren't in the army would be considered as demons." The priest looked at him in the eye and he doesn't have any choice but to nod his head.
"Good, please understand that we are doing this to prevent what happened 500 years ago, when a hero became an underling of the Demon king." The priest said full of emotion(?).
Pierre nodded again and again and walked out of the church hurriedly to inform his parents of his job.
"Alice, it's your turn." the priest said
Hearing her name, Alice quickly walked in front of the crystal and touched, the light on her hands, the light that should have been there didn't appear.
"Haaa.. it seems like you will stay as a villager forever. (Trash..)" the priest said and mumbled full of emotion(?) again.
"W-why?.." She asked softly while holding back her tears.
"Not everyone is blessed by the gods. You are just unlucky that you are not picked by any of them. You should go home now." The priest said calmly
This bastard said it like it was nothing!
I really want to punch this person's face!
Alice rushed out of the church, crying. I really wanted to runn and follow her, but I needed to complete my enlightenment first, or else, this bastard of a priest might suddenly treat me as a demon because of their so called rules that I didn't even know.
Calm down myself, you can't mess with the church
"Asura." the priest said
I hurriedly walked and touched the crystal as soon as possible. The light came out and the word written on it was "çømmœñ", but because I'm in a hurry, as soon as the light came out, I ran outside to chase Alice.
"(An unknown job holder huh? it seems like the word written on it was common. A "common" job? Haa.. probably a useless one like "commoner" that you can get when you are born inside of any kingdom unless if you are a noble or a royalty. That job doesn't have any skills, it only has a better base stats than villager. A trash becoming trash.. what a disgusting person)" the priest mumbled to himself silently.
"Asura seems to got a commoner job, the lowest job that I've ever seen in any of the enlightenment that I hosted to. I announce that the enlightenment is over. Please, go home now." The priest said to Jake and Charlie who stayed behind.
Charlie walked out without any emotion on his face while Jake smiled proudly while holding back his laughter from hearing Asura's job.
"I'll have Alice very very soon." Jake thought to himself while going back to his home.

And if çømmœñ is a real word and means different than common, then, please pretend that they are the same. I don't know how to make it unique other than writing it like that.
