Chapter 3: Fresh Out
Angel paces back and forth in his cell reliving the experience of killing his ex-partner De'Mandre. He starts to question his actions, "The hell am I doin'? The hell did I kill him for? Why he ain't just give up the goddamn bag!? Man, fuck!"
Angel's sight becomes darkened a bit, thunderous claps shake the world around him. He sees and hears what is happening and it is starting to drive him mad. He looks up to the ceiling and falls to the ground back first. Overwhelmed, he begins to panic and then hyperventilates.
Then suddenly a white entity seeps through the ceiling with its arm stretched wide. Its body looks like the inverse of the universe, pearl skin with black metallic spots. With hair that depicts thousands of stems from a deceased flower. Its eyes are white and blue like the raging waves of the roaring ocean, and its voice is calming and assuring as the waves at peace.
The entity speaks, "Hello mortal, I am Mammon. I have the power to make all of this agony cease and give you your heart's desires." Angel asks, "What do you want me to do?" Mammon replies, "Open up your body to me, take me in, and let me reign." Angel cries, "Do what you need to do bruh, just make this shit stop! Please!" "Say that you will allow me domain over your vessel!" Mammon shouts with a thunderous voice. "Ok bruh, I give you domain over my vessel!"
Mammon starts to infuse himself with Angel and it shows signs of taking a toll on his body. Angel in pain, screams as the name of the demon taking over his body becomes embedded in the skin of his chest. The fusion complete, Angel's eyes are now blue as Mammon's. A guard comes to the cell that houses Angel, "Hey Angel, get your stuff its time to go" the guard says.
Angel walking down to pick up his belongings, he sees that he is missing his car keys. "Aye bruh, where are my car keys?" Angel asks the guard. "I don't know" the guard replies. "Do I still have my car?" Angel asks, "I don't know, maybe its impounded. Go back to the local station and they may be able to help you." Angel exhales deeply, gets his belongings, then heads out of the correctional facility.
Angel steps off the bus back in Atlanta now looking for his car, he makes his way towards the local impound lot in hopes of finding his car. He walks up to the front counter, "Hello, do you have a teal 1997 Honda Accord?" Angel asks. The guy at the counter replies, "Yeah, but do you have any paperwork?", Angel hands the guy at the counter his paperwork, "It'll be $750." Angel looks in confusion then says, "Um. I will need to get back to you, I don't have the money at the moment." The guy at the counter replies, "It'll be an additional $100 over next month." Angel replies, "That won't be necessary."
That night, Angel is found to have snuck inside of the impound lot to look for his car. Angel finds his car and tries to sneak into his car. He gets his car door open and begins to search for his bag that had the loot from his and De'Mandre's home-invasion mission. "Damn it! It isn't here. Those cops must have it" Angel exclaims.
