Chapter 12: CHAPTER 11 DREAM
Shadow always let Glutton run wild in the forest; he just smiled at it.
After deciding to rest from hunting, he lets Glutton hunt for itself; it even brings back its prey. Shadow asked him why, and he answered Shadow, "Because it helps me train." (By the way, the two of them were talking about spiritually contracted beasts that can speak with their partner spiritually.)
Shadow was surprised, but what it said next was even more surprising. Glutton actually has a daily quota; it must hunt three bronze-level beasts of the same level, one for itself, another for humans, and lastly for goblins.
Shadow spread the information to Fatty and Lou Yan. The both of them also want to train their beasts under the same training system, which can't only train them but also keep their wild instincts intact.
Ban decided to hunt with Sniper once a week to keep his rest and further deepen their relationship, while Lou Yan decided that after Tank's wounds healed, he would ride it to scour the forest for food or other races to conquer.
Shadow was still waiting for news about a goblin hideout.
Shadow checked the system missions before he went to sleep; he also took all the rewards.

After checking the system, he slept.
"Congratulation! You have become the CEO of the company."
"I know you were awesome."
"You are a genius, Zay; you are simply terrific."

When they were shaking hands, an abrupt explosion happened. The building was shaking, then boom, a cement drop-off killed all of the people. Zay looked at his bloodied hands and felt cold. 'Am I dying? he asked', regretfully closing his eyes.
Shadow suddenly woke up, seeing his bed. He heaved a sigh of relief. 'Thank God, it is just a dream.
He wiped the sweat on his forehead, stood up, and looked through the window. It thought, 'They said dreams sometimes show what a person seeks.'
'It seems that I've always regretted what happened, but' looking outside, seeing the birds chirping and the bright sun, Shadow said to himself, 'no use regretting; I need power to control my destiny so that I won't die a pathetic death like last time'
Shadow saw that it was still early, so he sat down and meditated to calm his mind. After a couple of minutes, he was no longer agitated and now seems relaxed. He saw that Glutton was still sleeping and decided not to wake him up. He got to the bathroom and washed, then walked to the Military Campground.
He saw soldiers that were training seriously; he even saw Old Darwin seriously ordering the goblin soldiers.
When he came inside, all the soldiers greeted him, "Good morning, village chief."
Shadow nodded at them. Seeing this, the soldiers continued to train.
"Darwin, come here." Old Darwin nodded and left the goblins to self-train.
"My Lord, what can I do for you?"
"The mission to search for other goblins: how is it going?"
"My lord, it is going quite well. We narrowed down a potential dwelling place for goblins, and we also discovered other races such as kobolds, gnolls, and elves."
"Which of these races is closer and much easier to conquer?"
"Of course the easiest is the goblins, but if you want to subjugate another race, then the kobolds are the best choice."
Shadow nodded and asked the direction of the kobolds. Old Darwin answered him that the kobolds had already built a proper village, so conquering it was not easy.
"Don't worry, I have a plan."
"What plan is it, my lord?"
Shadow just mysteriously smiled at him and said nothing. After that, Shadow told Lou Yan to be ready. Today, they are going on conquest.
After that, he arrived at the research lab. When the door opened, he saw the beautiful and sexy Miss Rose. She looked extremely haggard; it looked like she didn't get a wink of sleep.
"Are you okay, Miss Rose? I know that research is important, but the rest is also equally important."

After the bout of excitement came awkwardness, Shadow saw the embarrassed Rose and quickly dispelled the awkward atmosphere.
Shadow let out a cough and said, "Miss Rose, because of your meritorious deed, I have decided to reward you.
'SYSTEM receives a reward for mission research.
After a couple of seconds, the system gave Shadow an Upgrade Orb.
Upgrade ORB: Upgrade a profession. As a reminder, it can only upgrade a profession grade of 0-1 or 1-2.
Shadow gave the Upgrade Orb to Rose and told her how to use it.
Rose excitedly accepted it, and after receiving it, her profession was upgraded.

Rose was speechless at how generous Shadow is. After a while, she jumps happily, expressing her happiness, but it seems that jumping can't express her emotion fully. She hugged Shadow and gave him a peck in the cheek after she happily skipped into the lab.
