Chapter 3: Chapter 3

Chapter 3 — Path

The regular shinobi on the Naruto World would usually release their chakra through the Tenketsu nodes and handsign to be able to use jutsu, but Hikari was different from them.

He could released the distinct 'Divine Power' everywhere on his body without any difficulty, making his efficiency to be better.

Hikari also didn't need to use any handsign in order to conjure ninjutsu. He could use any skills through his own will alone.

The first ninjutsu that Hikari wanted to learn first was the Transformation Jutsu.

The transformation jutsu was able to change his appearance to anyone he desired, but his smell, energy signature and other things won't be change.

Hikari awakened the Divine Power residing within him, causing thin golden lines to cover his pale-white skin.

Golden light started to cover his whole face and head, that started to distorted and change.

The golden veil covering his face soon faded, revealing Hikari's new hideous and twisted-looking face.

Hikari stood up from the ground he was sitting on and went out to look for a pond that could act as a mirror to reflect his current appearance.

Soon enough, he stumbled into a small yet deep pond. Hikari crouched near it and stared at his appearance.

Gasp!

Hikari sucked in the cold air as his face slightly became dark. He let out a wry smile, looking at his reflection.

"It's definitely good that I didn't brought Visco along with me..." Hikari muttered while sighing in relief.

If Visco were to see him right now, he would surely be terrified to death now...

"Due to my poor control of my Divine Power, the jutsu distorted my face.."

Hikari undo the transformation jutsu, reverting his face back to normal, but he suddenly heard a familiar voice resounding inside his head.

[ Divine Transformation Has Been Created. ]

Hearing this voice again, Hikari was confused for two reason.

The first was the mysterious voice calling the ordinary transformation jutsu as a divine transformation and lastly was about the mysterious voice identity.

"Hey, Mr. Voice, what are you?" Hikari asked while inwardly thinking that the mysterious voice will not answer his question.

But to his surprised, the mysterious voice actually responded to his question, albeit only few with his words.

[ We're the watcher. ]

Hikari narrowed his eyes upon hearing that answer and quickly asked another question.

"What's your purpose with me?"

[ We record; announce; spectate; and don't interfere with the chosen one. ]

Hikari then heard a static sound inside his head for a second. He then continued to ask the watcher.

"Who's the chosen one? Is it me?" Hikari asked curiously to confirm his guess.

But silence only followed afterward. The watcher didn't speak nor uttered another word.

Hikari furrowed his eyebrows as he felt his temple aching badly.

It was simply confusing.

In the end, Hikari just decided to throw those thoughts at the back of his head and only think about it carefully once the proper time has come.

Hikari picked up some few leaves and then decided to return home since he wasn't allowed to stay at the forest for a long time.

He didn't tried the substitution jutsu or clone jutsu since he still lacked a proper opponent.

...

The next day...

"The first and most basic chakra control training is the leaf method..." Hikari muttered quietly as he sat cross-legged inside his bedroom.

There was ten green leaves placed on the floor infront of him that he picked up yesterday.

Hikari exhaled out deeply and placed one leaf on his shoulder. He quickly used his 'Divine Power' to wrap around the leaf and willed it to be like a glue to stick into his skin.

The very first attempt he did was a failure with the green leaf quickly falling toward the wooden floor.

Hikari still continued this training with a strong mindset to get stronger so his future won't be doomed.

The second attempt that followed after was also a failure with the green leaves exploding into ashes due to it receiving too much 'Divine Power'.

Hikari was slowly getting the trick to control his Divine Power precisely as time passed.

The fourth and fifth attempt was still a failure with the sixth attempt only being able to stick for a few minute.

But on the seventh and final attempt, Hikari finally managed to stick the leaf into his body for 20 minutes without falling or exploding.

He couldn't continue anymore due to him exhausting all of his Divine Power because of the constant practice he did earlier.

Hikari had also realized something; after the green leaf was coated in 'Divine Power', it became sharp as a knife and sturdy as a wood.

He managed to discover that the 'Divine Power' has a strengthening property, being able to strengthen everything into a dangerous weapon.

Hikari looked through the window and saw it was already afternoon. He decided to spend his days by resting in order to recover his lost Divine Power.

....

After waking up early in the next day, Hikari ate his breakfast and went toward the forest with Visco.

He and Visco played a game of tag inside the forest because there was nothing interesting in this world to be done.

Although it was called as a game, It can be also called as a physical exercise... just for kids.

They were basically running around the forest with no rest, climbing and swinging across the tall trees with their bare hands.

And of course, it was only Hikari who was swinging across the trees like tarzan.

After playing for a hour, Hikari sat underneath a large tree and started his control training.

He sat cross-legged underneath a tree and did his basic control training.

Visco was sitting beside him, keeping a close eye on the surroundings.

For today's training, Hikari wanted to increase the number of leafs he could stick into his body to further improve his precision.

He would often shake the large tree behind him for the leaves to fall toward the ground he was sitting.

Then he would quickly capture the falling leaves without using any hands, but only his Divine Power.

The training he was currently doing was definitely harder than before...

After a hour and a half of training, Hikari only managed to stick four leaves into his body.

Although the improvement seems unremarkable, Hikari was satisfied with it.

Hikari then shifted his gaze toward the flowing lake infront of him and started to wonder.

"I wonder if I will be able to use different kind of elements using my Divine Power?" Hikari muttered after remembering the five elements you can use in Naruto.

If he couldn't convert the Divine Power into something like the fire element like the chakra, he would only be able to learn those few neutral type of jutsu.

But after thinking about it even further, Hikari couldn't help but laugh at his foolishness.

He was a Holymancer!

A man with the power of Necromancer and Divine Power.

He was different from the shinobi from this world.

"I don't need to use those elemental ninjutsu or whatever! I can just summon an army of undead and use my Divine Magic to fight," Hikari said deeply with his golden eyes glimmering and growing more brighter.

Hikari gained an enlightment. He decided to think about the skills that a Necromancer and a Priest would usually have.

He planned to use those two job as the foundation for creating his own unique set of skills...

He also thought about on learning about the neutral-type jutsu that existed as well as the kenjutsu, fuinjutsu and some other things that can provide some usefulness.
