Chapter 18: Chapter 18: The wall of Smoke
"Also we have a part of Lunaris in our land too so its not like we necesarly need this deal." Alexandrien examined the paper again.
"But straight out rejecting it would be rude." Chrystalya added after a short while.
"Then? What do suggest?" He casually ran his fingers trough her hair as he supported his head with one hand.
"I would suggest a meeting with Lavaris and Lunaris. If its necesarry I would also invite envoys from Secrade and Kalliopheon since they are the one affected by this." She fliched a little but it was unnoticable.
"I agree. Then I let you handle the invitations after the crowning ceremony." He slyly smiled at her with sparks in his eyes.
Alexandrien was a little sadistic and found enjoyment in giving difficult tasks to others and watch them suffer. The only person who was able to change it was Dorothea. But she is not here yet.
"Yes I understand." Chrystalya just nodded. It wasn't a difficult task for her since she had the knowledge of her previus life with her, also she recieved the perfect education to become an Empress and don't embarasse the Emperor.
"Your Majesty should rest now. Its getting late." She spoke up again
"Yeah right." Alexandrien looked at the clock and lazily picked up Chrystalya again and went to the bed side.
He put down Chrystalya and covered her with the blanket. She just blinked a few time at him with inner confusion. Alexandrien leaned in to kiss her on the lips then he also got into bed and wraped Chrystalya and Reon in his arms like it was the most natural thing in the world.
Chrystalya was uncomfortable but there was nothing she could do so she forced herself to sleep.
The next morning she was the first to wake up. The first thing she saw was a handsome face inches from her.
'He is the male lead so of course he'd be super handsome but still...' Chrystalya wondered as she examined his face.
She was a die hard fan of Alexandrien. She was a premium user of the site the story was published and even bought the first time signed book and even meet the author themself. The author even acknowledged her as the number one fan abd recieved and a life sized body pillow of Alexandrien.
Sadly right now she felt like something was blocking her memories and she couldn't remember the original story that well. It felt like a heavy wall of smoke was blocking it.
She slowly shook her head and turned her gaze back to Alexandrien. He was really handsome and looked so innocent and defensless while he was sleeping. Who would think that this man was a cold blodded killer.
Chrystalya slowly unconsiusly reached out to touch his face when a hand grabbed hers and a pair of lazy eyes locked gaze with her's
"What are you doing to a sleeping person Empress?" His voice was low and a little hoarse as a smile emerged on his lips.
Chrystalya embarassedly pulled away her hand but Alexandrien grabbed her again.
