Chapter 30: Chapter 30
A constant smile decorated Shino's face as she took place on her "horse back". The game was already in motion and Shino was confident she had played her cards right up until that moment. Her teammates were ready and awaiting her order as she scanned the battlefield and formed a plan of action. She tightened the headband on her head and glanced down at her "horse". Daichi was the head of the format. He was responsible for getting them close to their targets and away before any damage could be dealt. Momo and Akio were the flanks, both of them adorning the boots Shino had Momo make. Daichi adorned one as well. Shino stood proud a staff in hand which she handled expertly.
"Alright team. Things are about to go down. The second the signal is heard everyone will head our way, get ready for it" Shino said just as Midnight let the signal known.
Daichi smiled brightly his eyes already focused on the first target. Akio had his calm expression as always eyeing the target as well. Momo's eyes were on the target as well as she got ready to move.
"You know what to do Tagawa, on my word"
"Aye aye captain"
"Here's to hoping this plan works" Akio commented as everyone made a bee line towards them.
"Shino's plans have never failed even when compromised she moves around it to find another sulotion"
"Thanks for the praise Momo" Shino smiled and prepared her staff. "Nothing escapes the overly active brain of mine"
"Shino! "
The sound of her name made the smile increase impossibly. Katsuki's team was heading straight for her, Kirishima acting as the head. Katsuki was all explosions as he closed in on her.
"Just as predicted" She increased pressure on her right foot and her team moved in that direction swiftly dodging the other team. Before they could turn their attention back on them however Shino decided to go for it.
"Pin point"
Those were the words Daichi was waited for. Without a second thought he mentally located his keychain and in a second they were gone.
"What is this? It seems things are getting interesting! "Midnight was obviously excited.
"Where the hell did they go! "Katsuki looked around frantically
"Tagawa is on their team. He can teleport "Kirishima informed.
"But does he need a keychain or something? "
Suddenly Shino and her team was in sight. Right above Katsuki. The boy quickly made a move to defend himself but it was too late. Just as suddenly as they appeared they were gone, taking a souvenir with them.
"Bakugo, your headband! "
Shino was openly laughing as she held the retrieved headband high in the air. The onlookers erupted in excited cheer at the first stolen points.
"Have a look ladies and gentlemen. Not even two minutes in Kiddo has already taken a victem"
"Shino! I'll kill you! "
"If you'd calm down for a sec I wouldn't have gotten you headband so easily. You didn't even notice when I took it, did you? "Shino grinned and tied the new addition to her forehead. "I'm not letting anyone lay a hand on my headband! "
An incoming danger made Shino pressure her left foot. Her team reacted immediately and they barely dodged the ice that was sent there way. Not a second later there was incoming heat that caused Shino to lean forward and her team took to the sky dodging the flaming attack.
"Damn" She eyed both Shoto and Izuku who had already come for her. The attack seemed timed and coordinated. Were they working together? If so then that means major trouble.
Another sense in the back of her head made Shino aware of incoming danger. It was from above and she quickly directed her team away from the attack heading her way. Shino didn't get a good look at what it was that descended from the sky. All she saw was a white blur passing by her. She watched the object hit the ground and heard the loud explosion that followed on contact causing those nearby to move away while those who weren't fast enough were frozen in place. The object soon shrunk and turned into a sheet of paper. Shino immediately knew who it's creator was.
"We missed "
Sora's team was drifting in the sky on a scarlet platform the boy himself had created. Shino caught sight of Ren on his flank. Yep. That explains it. Whatever she created was obviously meant to immobilize them. Kaminari was his lead and Tsuyu his left flank.
"What's up Sora? " Shino asked casually.
"Nothing much, just after that headband of yours"
"Try your best shot"
"Oh I will"
"I look forward to it. But right now we gotta pin point"
Sora looked confused before the team was no longer in their original position. Sora caught on quickly and worked to form a shield around his team. Shino was faster and disengaged from her team falling straight towards Sora. She grinned as she gripped onto his shirt before moving for his headband. Tsu's tong wrapped around her wrist and and threw her aside. Shino flipped mid air and sent a web straight to Sora's head, but she was met with a shield. She grinned.
Sora raised an eyebrow and watched Shino fall. Where's her team?
Realization struck the boy as he moved to defend his open position. He was about to order Ren to create something but Daichi was in front of him and Akio reached for the headband. Daichi grinned and waved as they quickly teleported away.
"Damn, I got played. "
"Kiddo strikes again although it isn't looking to good for her" Midnight commented.
Shino was quickly approaching the ground, but she didn't seem worried. She gripped the keychain in her hand as she eyed the approaching enemy. Izuku was heading straight for her. His team taking flight thanks to Uraraka. Shino stuffed the keychain in her pocket before twisting herself in time to dodge the fire headed her way. She shifted again and headed straight for the team. Before she got to close a familiar shadow intercepted her, pushing her away.
She was caught, arms pulling her back into her place just in time.
"We're back cap, and a mission accomplished " Daichi handed her the headband.
"Good going" the new addition was promptly added to her collection. "We still have to keep an eye out. We have eight minutes remaining"
Just as those left her mount her entire left arm was frozen. A blink was her only reaction as her team maneuvered away from further ice attacks. It seems Shoto has finally arrived although Shino wasn't looking to deal with him at the moment. She eyed her arm with little worry. Her temperature was already climbing and the ice would be gone in time.
"Hey Todoroki"
By the serious look on his face Shino would have no choice but to deal with him. It's better sooner rather than later. The ice had to melt away first though, she's going to need her arm. A tingling in the back of her head made her sigh and threw the keychain into the air. Daichi teleported without a word. They were out of the way just in time to evade Katsuki's attack. They didn't have time to breath for Izuku was coming out of the sky on his own. Where was his team?
Shino reacted fast and attached a web to him and directed him to the ground before he could do anything. He resisted surprisingly enough and redirected himself, still attached to the webbing. This effectively pulled Shino along with him, but she allowed it. With her staff in hand she pulled herself closer to her target and through the weapon down on him with enough force to push him away. With that handled she brought herself back to her team, only to get tackled right off her "horse" by Sora. They wrestled with each other in mid air. Sora was trying the get the headbands while Shino was trying to push him off. Her staff was held between the two in their struggle and she was acutely aware of the approaching ground and the other teams heading their way.
Troublesome.
She pushed back against her friend, holding her weapon firmly against him and twisted their tangled bodies so she was on top. She maneuvered herself quickly, placing her feet on the weapon and pushing off with force. The effect caused Sora to descend to the ground faster while Shino finally separated from him and webbed onto her team. She had to evade the incoming Katsuki, barely avoiding the big explosion he directed at her.
She flipped into the sky and landed right on her "horse". She caught sight of Sora being retrieved by his team before he was cast out of the match.
Midnight made some commentary but Shino wasn't listening. She was being warned again and this time the opponent was none other that Monoma who was reaching for the prize. Shino dodged but felt pain shoot through her as she was hit by an explosion.
"That hurt damn it! " she clutched her pained shoulder and glared at the smiling blonde. She really didn't like that guy. He probably saw his chance when they were fighting akonst each other.
The wound was quickly healing, but the pain remained a bit longer.
"Wasn't that Bakugo's quirk? " Akio questioned as the group evaded attack after attack.
"Hey! You bastard, you copied my quirk! "
"Yup" Shino answered and dodged an Attack by Shoto. She should really deal with him.
"Pinpoint"
