Chapter 2: Chapter two
Li Meiying's hand became sweaty because of being held , she peeked from his side eye and noticed that he was still talking. So , she tried to wiggle her hand out of his grasp but failed terribly. He refused to let go. He looked at her side and sofly kissed the hand that was trying to slip out of his grab ,while continuing his work. When he was finally off the hooked from his business talk he grabbed her waist and pulled her closer and onto his lap. He hugged her from back buried his head on her side neck with eyes closed inhaling her smell.
As soon as chen peizhi noticed his boss's action from the rear mirror he turned up the separation to give them some privacy. Li Meiying was neither startled and nor flustered she was used to it. But it greatly embarrassed her when he first did that and hence she refused to meet him for few days until he couldn't take it anymore and barged into her apartment to talk her out which he succeeded to convince her.
While she was pondering...about that time
" what are doing tonight?" Asked Wang Deming with husky voice.
Afraid that he would make plans for her , she immediately answered ——
" hotpot with the twins". She heaved a sigh of releif inside her mind after she declared her agenda for the rest of her evening.
With eyes closed he said nonchalantly ————-
" let's go meet my family tomorrow. They have been asking me about u. They want us get married soon"
As soon as she heard him she was dumdfounded. It was like lightening strike to her. A lump formed out of nowhere in her throat . Marriage was such a big concept in her life . Most importantly , she never imagined herself getting married to Deming even if she was her girlfriend.
She didn't know what to say but she had to say something to stop him———-
" err I think it's too early for me to get married ,besides I have never met any of your family member. I don't think they will like me."
" don't worry no body will be able to escape from your charm." Instanly replied Wang Deming.
Li Meiying was speechless and terrified. She couldn't think of anything , she just wanted to get the hell out of that car———-
" stop the car." Demanded Li Meiying with teary eyes.
Wang Deming's face showed no serious reaction instead———-
" what's wrong babe?" In a calmest way possible.
" please I really need to get out of here. This is so awkward, I am sorry. "
Wang Deming looked at her intensely , he knew she was going to defy the proposal but he laid the proposal instead . He wanted to marry her because he was afraid of her running away. Wang Deming was not afraid of anything but her. He was calm and composed and said nonchalantly —-
" ok alright no rush, we will talk about it some other day. Okay?"
Li Meiying heaved a sigh of relief which was noticed by Wang Deming. Even though he postponed the appointment with his family, Li Meiying's heart and mind was in turmoil.
When they reached her university Li Meiying initially wanted to say quick goodbye without procrastinating but it was to no avail.
" babe, no need to rush. We will go together , I was invited as the chief guest for the graduation". Said Wang Deming soothingly.
"What is happening today? Today it is all about me. Why don't you just leave me alone?" Cried Li Meiying inside her mind but she said with forced smile———-
" wow, what a coincidence? "
He looked at her with his alluring eyes . He touched his earlobe which was noticed by his driver and unnoticed by his love. Driver felt chill down his spine. He knew his boss always touched his earlobe when he gets offended.
" Yeah coincidence it is." Said Wang Deming.
Without wasting any more minute , they got off the car together and headed towards the venue. When they were inside the hall everybody's gaze were on them. It was awkward for Li Meiying. At the meantime she saw her friends and decided to rush towards them—————-
" Deming, I will be with them and right , you don't have to wait for me. Hot pot remember?" Said Li Meiying with excitement in her eyes.
He hated that twinkle in her eyes whenever she is with other people excluding him. But as usual he didn't show her that . He simply nodded and strode forward. Inside his head he wanted to grab her soft wrist and not let go and make her sit with him.
As soon as the director of the university saw Wang Deming walking towards his way he panicked and nervously rushed to him———-
" president Wang What a pleas...."
director was interrupted mid way.
" enough with the greetings. Just make me your chief guest today." Wang Deming ordered .
Director was speechless because the intended chief guest was already present and was relaxing on his pre occupied seat. When Wang Deming reached to the seat he saw a fat man sitting. He didn't say anything but looked at him. Because of Deming's blazing glare fat man turned his head to meet the eyes for confrontation but panicked and quickly understood the situation. He gave up his seat to him.
On the other side——
" why is mr.wang here?" Asked Liu jia .
Li Meiying rolled her eyes
" this morning on our ride together I learned about him being invited as chief guest. Strange isn't?"
" Meiying, I think you should really cosider him seriously. I mean how long have you guys been together? 2 year ?" Liu mei Chimped in.
" I have tried so many times. I think he is too good for me." Said Li Meiying
Both the twins sighed at the same time. And started chatting about fashion , food ,people and what not.
Three of them were inseparable since kindergarten. They were from the same hometown and coincidentally neighbors too.
Even though Li Lijuan was 2 years older , she chose to stay friends with them only. Only Li Lijuan had good sense about everything regarding life or career. And the other three were known as "superfluous trio" in the neighbourhood.
Both the sisters always hoped for them to be happy and they quite accepted Wang Deming as their brother in law because he always treated them with good food. But their silly friend was from different planet.
