Chapter 34: Chapter 34: An Idol's Locked Room 1
The next morning Seiya woke up with his face, arms, chest and neck feeling sticky, and wet. He had a dream of getting lick by 2 brown Maltese as the two cute little dogs tried to smell every limbs of his body, he suddenly thought of the recent events which made him sigh as he went to the showers to clean off the saliva of the two sisters who have sneaked into his room after his deep sleep. After walking towards the dinning table, he didn't saw the sisters so he ate alone before driving away towards the Tokyo Metropolitan Police.
Inspector Megure who was reading a case file immediately received a call from Seiya who exchanged numbers yesterday, Inspector Megure spoke.
"Who is this?"
"It's me, Seiya."
"Oh Seiya-san, are you planning on visiting the office today?"
"Yes, I am currently on my way. Maybe 5 minutes away before I arrive. By the way, is there a parking lot nearby?"
Inspector Megure guided Seiya through the phone as he walks out from his office which made Miwako Sato who was brewing a coffee ask.
"Inspector Megure, Is there something?"
"Ah, its about our new consultant. He is coming here to the station. Can you help me pick him up?"
"Yes, Sir!"
Miwako Sato saluted as Inspector Megure showed a photo of Seiya so that she won't pick someone up by mistake, she then went down the station and waited for Seiya. When Miwako was waiting, she saw a black car moving towards the police parking lot. She waive her hand as she said loudly.
"Seiya-kun, here~"
Seiya followed her guiding motion as he parks the car in a empty space, after that he walks out of the car as he greeted Miwako.
"Thank you, Miss?"
"I am Miwako Sato, You should be Seiya kun. Am I right?"
"Yes, you are correct. I am Seiya."
They shook heads as Miwako began leading Seiya inside the station while introducing everything, the police officers who are admirers of the flower of the police station immediately showed vigilance as they carefully spied on Seiya who seemed to be new around the station. Miwako led Seiya towards Inspector Megure's office as she opened the door. Inspector Megure stood up as he shook hands with Seiya while saying.
"It is nice to meet you Seiya-kun, I have heard a lot from my superior."
"It is also pleasure to meet you, Mr. Megure, I used to see your pictures in newspapers when I was young."
"Is that so? Hahaha.."
Inspector Megure felt nice as he heard that Seiya admired him, Miwako left the Megure's office as she went back to the coffee maker where Yumi, her best friend slowly creeps and hugs Miwako from the back as she ask.
"Miwako, who is the handsome guy you brought back? Is it your boyfriend?" -Yumi brewing gossips
"No, he is our new consultant for the division 1. I heard that the Managing Officer specially invited Seiya kun."
"So do you think he has a girlfriend?"
"I don't know, anyway. I have to go back to my table, I still have to write a report from yesterday's case."
Miwako waive her hand as she went back to her table as Yumi pouted but still kept a interest of wanting to talk to Seiya, meanwhile Seiya received a badge, a Colt M1911 and his certificate of being their consultant. Then Inspector Megure told Seiya where his office is located, when they were about to leave the office. the police officer who was responsible in receiving the call immediately reported the situation. Which made Inspector Megure shout while pointing to the exit.
"Police Roll Out!"
Inspector Megure drove his police car while Seiya was in the passenger seat, he wondered what case they encountered in which he was about to find out. It took 10 minutes before they arrived in front of a Condo, where Seiya already expected who called them. Seiya saw Mouri Ran, Kogoro and the Death God Physique User called Edogawa Conan. Mouri Ran who saw Seiya immediately greeted him as she said.
"Seiya-san you are here!"
"Ran-chan, what happened here?"
Seiya nodded as he asked Ran about the current event, in which she explained how Kogoro received a commission from Yoko Okino. Conan on the other hand felt sour as he saw his childhood sweet heart talking to Seiya, but seeing there was a case. He felt that he could solve this case before Seiya could so he slowly creeps onto the fat man's corpse as he tried to investigate without the police trying to stop the kid because he seemed to be invisible to them. But Seiya noticed him which made him frown on how the police didn't notice and stop a civilian child to go inside a crime scene.
"*cough* Inspector Megure, can you ask someone to take the kid away from the crime scene. Its an offense, if you don't follow basic crime scene protocols! "
"I'm sorry, Takagi-kun can you take away the children." -Megure ordering Takagi
"Yes, Inspector"
Takagi grabbed Conan's collar which made him yell.
"Who is grabbing me?!"
"Kid, stay away from the crime scene. Lets go outside, you guys follow me!"
Takagi didn't put him down as he pulled Conan away while leading Ayumi, Genta and Mitsuhiko who hid inside the tax's trunk to arrive into the scene. But while walking towards the door, Ayumi saw Seiya writing something into the notepad as Ran was saying something about the event. This made her use her little cute legs as she sneaks toward Seiya while shouting.
"Big brother!"
"Oh, Ayumi? What are you doing here?"
Ayumi explained while hugging Seiya's legs, he lowered his body down as he used his arm to let Ayumi use it as a chair while letting her wrap her arms around Seiya's neck. She explained the journey of their struggle inside the trunk while Inspector Megure slowly investigate. After a minute, Seiya gave Ayumi to Ran before walking towards Yoko Okino and her Manager, he then ask.
"Do you know the dead?"
"I.."
Yoko Okino was about to speak the truth but her manager Eiichi Yamagishi shook her head which made her say.
"I don't know him."
This statement made Seiya frown as he hated people lying to him. His expression change into a indifference yet cold as he said.
"Your lying, I can hear your heart beating fast as your expression show some hesitation before answering me."
"Sir, it is just" -Eiichi Yamagishi
"Don't call me sir, do you know lying in a crime scene can be treated as misdemeanor offense that can be punished by up to six months in jail and substantial court fines. The worst is if you continue to lie in a serious invesitgation, it will turn into felony charge that provides for a prison sentence of up to five years."
Seiya interrupted the manager because he knew that this guy is preventing Yoko to tell the truth since it can be a scandal so being more rude and blunt in the punishment can make people scared. In which Seiya succeed in doing, Okino paled as she stuttered while speaking the truth.
"He was.... my boyfriend back in ...high school"
"Yoko!!" -Eiichi Yamagishi being upset, but he couldn't help and tremble as he felt the temperature going down.
He cautiously stared at Seiya who gave him a look that was an expression looking at a corpse which made him shut up, Yoko Okino began story telling as the Murder Case Solving continues.
