Jian Sangyu raised her head to take a look at the man outside the door and let out a sigh of surprise. "Has your boss gotten a new employee? Are you new? I've never seen you before. Has the delivery tool been updated too? Can this be a newly released version? What does this handbag do? Can it keep the food warm?"
The man stood still and Jian Sangyu was about to say something again when the man called her out by her name above her head.
"Jian Sangyu."
The voice sounded cold and was blended with slight anger.
Jian Sangyu staggered and almost fell. "You… you… you are…."
"Gu Chen."
The man answered Jian Sangyu and then lowered his head. He saw the gown Jian Sangyu was wearing and his eyebrows raised. He was wondering what Jian Sangyu was dressed like this for?
"Brother… Brother-in-law?" Jian Jialang gathered himself behind her and instantly stopped his frivolous behavior at the sight of the man, subconsciously straightened up his back and adjusted his slightly creased suit.
It was not until Gu Chen caught sight of Jian Jialang's suit did he realize that the brother and the sister were probably on the way to some banquet. He walked by the two people at the door with the handbag in his hand.
"Sis, you are indeed smart! Didn't you say that brother-in-law is not coming back?" Jian Jialang glared at Jian Sangyu, pulled her up from the floor and sneered at her. "Why are you still so intimidated by him after being married to him for so long, indeed it is funny!"
"Funny, you are still so intimidated by him after being his brother-in-law for so long!" Jian Sangyu sneered back. Then she snorted, gave Jian Jialang a kick and went inside the room with the dress' hem in her hands.
Jian Jialang snorted – yes he was intimidated, so what?

Jian Sangyu had been intimidated by him since she was little, and everyone in the yard was afraid of him too.
Since Jian Sangyu and Gu Chen had been engaged since they were little, everyone in the yard had shown great tolerance to Jian Sangyu when she was still a little girl, because they felt sympathy towards Jian Sangyu and they assumed that her life would definitely be quite difficult when she grew up.
The moment Gu Chen entered the room, he had his eyes on Jian Sangyu. Jian Sangyu forced herself to stand by his side and she could feel that Gu Chen had laid his eyes upon her thighs. She hurriedly pulled her dress to cover up the thighs.
"What are you doing here today? You didn't tell me anything about it!"
"You called me." Gu Chen never said any useless words. Having said that, he then pointed at the cell-phone Jian Sangyu had tossed onto the sofa.
Jian Sangyu let out a positive sound and nodded. "Yes, I did call you, but I was not asking you to come home."
But what Jian Sangyu didn't know was that Gu Chen had not planned to come home today at the beginning. He had been leading the team for more than one month and it was the day of his return.
When Jian Sangyu called him, he was still in the car. He forgot to have his cell-phone on at the meeting, so he missed the calls. When he found that Jian Sangyu had given him two calls, he called her back too but received no answer.
Jian Sangyu almost never called him of her own accord, be it before or after the wedding. So he was kind of surprised when he saw that Jian Sangyu had made two calls to him.
One possibility was that she might have misdialed the number and the other was that she needed him.
That was why Gu Chen got off the car in the city center halfway and hurried back.
"What is it?" Gu Chen noticed Jian Sangyu's face which was covered in a wronged expression. He extended his question after seeing that she was shaking her head in silence. "Why did you call me?"
"Nothing, really." Jian Sangyu continued to shake her head.
Gu Chen inspected Jian Sangyu with a dubious look. He didn't quite believe her words, so he turned to Jian Jialang. "Where are you going tonight?"
