I enjoy reading cliche eastern fantasy novels, but this one was horrible. There is barely any explanation about the world background, and the story progresses way too quick. Something that would be maybe 200 chapters in King of Gods, was already done in 20 chapters here. The main character just nonchalantly becomes an alchemist (which is supposedly super rare), refines a bunch of rare pills, and sells them for millions of gold in a matter of 2 chapters. And everyone acts as if that is normal.

There were some non-cliche parts, such as the female lead being so direct with her feelings, which is kinda fresh. However it still has alot of fillers.

Stability and World Building 3* since it's new. Ultimate cultivator trying to reach peak, dies instead, then reincarnates into his young self in another timeline. Uses his own cultivation technique from his past life in this new one, which is way better by the way, and surpasses everyone in cultivation. For those who likes a-hole MC's because they are OP and looks down on everyone, then this is your jam. But this novel does it better than any others out there. Imagine, you're someone who practices an elite martial art and time travels to cave man days, guess who's gonna win? This MC doesn't give two fux about anyone, except for dad of course, and just destroys and kills, like Terminator on steroids. And that's it...dude slays. The reason I gave it low stars? I'm not into these kinds of MC'S but for those who do, you might like this one. Verdict: 50/50, depends on your taste.
Another cliche arrogant mc ... Some op guy from the past, who lost his common sense, seems to get off at hating on "inferior" things/ppl, and bc of the author he will be correct.
Cliche stuff I say... Supreme ruler that rule in short timespan, suddenly feel like "Hey, I think it's a good idea to mess with my cultivation" and Bam!! He got cripple, his lover run away with other man, his man betray him, he curse the heaven, reincarnated as useless young master and the meme of "Here we go again.. " shall be the cover for profile here...

It's a nice novel with a unique MC I like the directness of the female but the MC is too outgoing and accommodating to females (the female's sister threatened his entire clan that was after she abused him and insulted him) she threatened him again in her clan after her clan disrespected his father but he deemed it okay to remain in her clan and went out of his way to buy the ingredients that her sister need to cultivate. I don't like the idea of forced marriage but the female lead has been calling her husband and even forcefully kissed him (how she achieved that I don't know she's a normal human while the MC has opened 20 meridians plus he has knowledge from over 200 million years ago but he can't abandon a crying girl that's forcing decisions on him)

This book drew me in! I loved the explanation of the cultivation guidelines, very simple to follow. I love all the face slapping! I have read hundreds of thousands of books and I hope this author will continue to amuse a fan. I really enjoyed reading what was posted so far. I even used my coins to continue to read and I never do that, just usually use the fast pass. Great book so far, please don't drop!
Putting aside that the 'Dragon Vein Emperor Art' is used on meridians and not the 'rubbish' dragon veins, this is still a novel that I like. I was already going to be disappointed when the first chapter referenced a cliche 'forced marriage' which I assumed would end up with a brain dead fiancee who dumps the MC but I was wrong. Xiao Yuran is sassy and actually kinda cute in how she is determined to marry Su Han. Definitely a different vibe than I, and really the MC, was expecting. But don't worry, there is still cliche setups, like the backstabbing, brain-dead family members. I don't get this over-used plot element. However, in response the MC is certainly not shy in quickly dealing with any antagonist issue. Furthermore, I like how he didn't d*ck around and just quickly chose his aforementioned art (instead of pretending to go through his massive memory library) and quickly got to leveling up. This kind of decisiveness shows itself over and over and it's something I appreciate. Of course his awkward helplessness in dealing with his precocious fiancee is a nice counterpoint. The score on this book so far is dismal, so it's clear that there are more popular genres that people want, but I don't really care and I'll put my vote for this book to be chosen.
