Chapter 3: Ch 3 : Challenge
Cetanu left the pups by them themselves because he knew that an adult Yautja would already or would soon know about what had happened and so he didn't really have to worry about them getting medical attention.
Not that he really cared at the end of the day, after living the Yautja life for so long he was hardened to such violence and he could commit it at the drop of a hat, not even twitch a mandible at the sight of it.
The reason for that though is the training Cetanu's mother put him through and the Instant Mastery and Instant Adaptation making it so he was used to it and quickly.
He had also mastered all other things his mother taught him, to list a few, hand-to-hand combat, weapons ranging from spears and swords to bows and even nun-chucks and shuriken, stealth, tracking, different languages so he wouldn't have to rely on voice mimicry technology when hunting, survival skills and everything else that he would need to know as a hunter, and of course Yautja traditions and customs.
Cetanu thought that his mother was trying to make him into a war machine most of the time, but it was just what he wanted as he didn't have to hide his training if his own mother was giving it to him, there were a few things that he did himself though, mainly meditation, that was why he ran into those pup's in the first place, trying to find a good place to meditate, and be alone.
He was trying to gain control of his internal energy or more simply known as life force, he had already connected to it so he could feel it moving inside his body, he had gotten a good control of it, making it move through out his body the way he wanted it to.
He found that it sped up his healing when he moved the life force to his wounds, the only problem he had was that he didn't have enough of it to do anything else and that's where meditating came into play.
When Cetanu mediated in a area with a lot of nature and clean air he was able to take in the world's energy and turn it into his own just like the cultivators did in Eastern Novels that he has read in his last life.
Cetanu hoped that with his skills, Limitless Potential, Instant Adaptation and Instant Mastery, he would be able to do just like they could do, flight, elemental techniques, controlling flying swords would be cool, Cetanu thought as he walking through the long grass, searching for a spot to do his morning meditation, the young pup's had gotten in the way before but he wasn't in the mood for any more interruptions now. He could probably also do the same with Quicksteel, but he had yet to get it, making him assume he was a late bloomer.
And so Cetanu choose to ignore the person he felt following him a little farther back, thinking that it was just an adult Yautja that saw the fight with the pups and was watching him because of it.
After walking a little deeper into the forest he came upon a small lake with a waterfall, the place sounded alive with wildlife, it was one of Cetanu's favourite places to meditate.
Cetanu walked over to a spot of flat ground next to the lake, he sat down with his legs crossed and closed his eyes, calming his heart and his mind, his mind delved into himself so that he could start cultivating his life force.
He first started by breathing in the natural energy in the air, all around himself and holding it in his lungs until he used his own life force to take a hold of the natural energy, once he had a grasp of it he made his life force circulate it throughout his entire body.
As this was happening the natural energy was slowly being converted into his own life force, when he finished the entire cycle he started it all over again.
Cetanu speculated that he could only do this so efficiently because of his Instant Mastery stopping him from wasting more of the natural energy in the cycle, otherwise it would have taken him much longer to cultivate so much natural energy.
He would have continued to cultivate if someone didn't suddenly jump down in front of him shouting, "You! Fight me!" Cetanu opened his eyes to a young female pup, she was taller then him like most Yautja female's are, around 5ft, her dreadlocks went to her shoulder blades which was quite long considering that they were probably the same age and his only went to his shoulders but then again his ended in a dark red unlike most who's were just black, he quite liked them because of the that though.
Her skin was mainly pale green with lime green patches, she was wearing an animal pelt over her developing bust and on her waist covering her privates, like a skirt. Male pups, like the ones he fought wore something similar to that and nothing else, of course Cetanu wasn't any different.
"Why?" Was Cetanu's only response to the female pup's shouts, she was left tongue tide at Cetanu's simple answer, she seemed to be expecting something a little bit different.
"I don't have a problem with you and it's such a lovely day, why don't you join me in meditating?" Cetanu asked the confused female pup.
Cetanu then went back to cultivating, not waiting for the pups answer, he then spent another two hours cultivating his life force bringing it up to another level, Cetanu could now compare his life force to a small lake, it was almost enough to fill his entire body without leaving spaces or low parts.
He would now have to figure out a way to compact his life force so that he would have more room and could cultivate more of it.
Cetanu opened his eyes to another's face close up to his, their eyes seemed to be looking him over, scrutinizing him, it was the female pup that appeared right before he started cultivating again, she looked surprised when Cetanu suddenly opened his eyes which made her jump backwards into the water.
"Hello, so you decided to stay then? Did you join me in meditation or did you just watch me this entire time?" Cetanu asked her as he stood up from the ground.
" ...Why did you sit there for so long? Even when I spoke or poked you, you didn't react, why is that?" She asked him curiously, walking towards him slowly and watching him cautiously in case he makes a move against her.
"It's called meditation, calming your mind and heart so that you can hopefully become one with nature, I haven't reached that point yet, it's just this idea I came up with, I'm not even sure it will work." Cetanu explained a simple version of what he was doing, not really a lie if you think about it... and forget some other things.
"What do you mean "one with nature"?" She asked him, now on the lake bank, just a meter away from Cetanu and she seemed to calm down a bit when she saw that he wasn't doing anything to attack her.
"It can mean a lot of different things, for example your presence becoming indistinguishable from nature, or even your consciousness becoming connected with the universe and everything in it, honestly it's too much for our simple minds to even comprehend... " Cetanu said whole in deep thought, he only then realized that he seemed to have lost the female pup with his explanation.
"Hey, my name's Cetanu, what's yours?" He asked her, bringing her out of her daze, she looked back to him.
"I'm... "
