"Huh? Now who the fuck is this Gilgamesh wannabe?"
As soon as Zenkichi said those words, there was a brief moment of silence.
"Kukuku. Hahahaha! How amusing."
True to Zenkichi's words, sat on a bean bag was a man with red eyes and yellow spiked up hair, wearing the academy uniform but outfitted to be some kind of supervillain costume with a lengthy tattered collar, no tie, and the cuffs of his sleeves are designed to look like the kanji for king. He wears red earrings, a hooked skull necklace, and a purple band around his neck
He was Oudo Miyakonojou, the head of floor 13 and the leader of the Thirteen Party.
"Oho. The mongrel has such a mouth on him." Oudo chuckled, not taking offense to Zenkichi's words but found him to be entertaining. "But do not mistake me for some mere knockoff. Gilgamesh may be a great king, but I am a king among kings. A true ruler of this world."
Zenkichi rolled his eyes. "Yeah, sure. And I'm the king of the moon."
Oudo's smile turned wicked. "Oh, I'm sorry. Did I offend you, little dog? You should learn to respect your betters."
He was a king after all, he wouldn't get easily offended by a mere mongrel because he couldn't understand his magnificence.
But that doesn't mean he wouldn't teach them some manners, for he was a king after all.
"Aww. And I was just beating Miyakonojou. Oh? Is he a new lab rat for you, Naze-chan?" Said with a calm voice by a short, white haired person stood besides Oudo wearing a light yellow mask, and a white jacket with dark red pants, as well as a long red scarf and light brown gloves.
They had black controllers on their hands, signifying that they were just playing video games.
"Nonsense! I was not about to lose but a clever tactic of mine to get your guard down and grandly finish you off."
"Yeah, yeah. What about another round then?"
"...Hmph! Better luck next time Yukuhashi. We have guests here, and as a king, it is rightfully rude to not address them."
"Hello, Miyakonojou-senpai and Yukuhashi-senpai. And as what you had said Yukuhashi-senpai...you could say so." Naze lightly tilted her head towards them and stared at the smaller person in the room, a frown on her face.
If there was one person she didn't like to be around but not feel disgusted at, it would be Mizou Yukuhashi. The Rabbit Labyrinth, or the Mind Reader.
The guy, or girl(she never really managed to find out what gender he/she was), had no control over their abnormality, aptly named Reading Minds.
Yukuhashi can read people's minds, or to be exact, can read their emotions. Yukuhashi can receive the electrical signals both machines and people release. Yukuhashi's Abnormality is more like a transceiver than actual telepathy.
This is why Naze didn't want anything to do with them, as unlike any telepath, Yukuhashi could understand her more than anyone.
Most would suggest that Naze Youka is a person that uses her mind and would arguably be a woman of logic but in truth, she is fuelled by her emotions.
It was why she continues to follow Zenkichi and still hesitates on betraying him at this moment.
'Hitoyoshi should need to drop any pretenses and just go on a rampage on them right now. Yukuhashi have most likely found out about our intention when we descended the stairway. Talking any more is useless, especially with Miyakonojou is here.'
'Of all the time for that arrogant ass to start spending time with the only friend he has in his life. Hitoyoshi isn't going to handle this on his own easily.'
But if she wanted to help him defeat them, she had to control or mess up her emotions to make Yukuhashi unable to understand what she was going to do.
So as a starter...
"Be careful. Miyakonojou and Yukuhashi, they're a dangerous combo. Miyakonojou can control people and machines with his skill, Weighted Words, an electricity type of skill and Yukuhashi can read your emotions but isn't any much different from reading your mind."
Naze said, warning Zenkichi.
Zenkichi furrowed his eyes, red light flashed and smiled.
He wasn't worried.
Mind control and mind reading through electrical signals?
Zenkichi never considered himself to be some kind of superior person, even when he got superhuman strength and abilities. He lived his life as normally as he could.
He wanted to live his second life to the fullest and without regrets.
And with that kind of belief followed a will to never submit to oppression.
He was not going to let himself be controlled by anyone, not even Miyakonojou.
"Thanks for the warning, Naze-chan. But I can handle them on my own."
Zenkichi took a step forward, facing both Miyakonojou and Yukuhashi with an expressionless face.
"How impudent. You have to teach your pets better, Naze Youka." Miyakonojou sent Naze a dirty glance before turning back towards Zenkichi. "Mongrel, kneel!" he ordered with a cocky smirk on his face, a flash of electricity appeared that flashed towards Zenkichi's direction.
"Hm? Wait a minute. Why am I not picking up...." Mizuno tilted their head to the side, bewildered and quickly realized something as their head straightened up. "Miyakonojou-lun, something's wrong! Naze's emotions suddenly changed and–oh god! Ewww! What the heck Naze-chan?! Ecchi! Hentai!!"
Naze miscalculated.
Yukuhashi had only 'heard' Naze coming into their floor and was actually surprised at seeing someone else coming in with her.
But the thought of them unable to read their mind didn't come into their head, as the only person who could ever do that was their partner Miyakonojou, and didn't think much about it.
They were mistaken. And their way of warning Miyakonojou came a tad too late.
Miyakonojou's smile froze as the electricity that surrounded Zenkichi's body swiftly dissipated and the latter responded,
"I refuse."
Zenkichi's eyes flashed and a dark, malevolent and oppressive pressure started to emit out around his body.
The temperature in the room had immediately dropped to freezing temperatures.
Everyone in the room felt a chill run down their spine, their hairs immediately stood up instinctively.
They all stared at Zenkichi, as if they weren't looking at a human.
But a demon king.
Fun fact, titles and skills could synch up and empower him further with the effects.
Demonic Hound + Dragon Warrior + Killing Impulse = Demon King's Aura
Miyakonojou promptly stood up with a solemn expression, Yukuhashi took a step back to hide behind him.
"Ha! How amusing." Miyakonojou let out a laugh, quickly shrugging off the intense aura Zenkichi was releasing and immediately took on proud posture; crossing his arms across his chest and stared at the latter disdainfully.
"You dare challenge this king?!" He exclaimed, releasing intense lightning around his body.
Lightning continuously flashes in his eyes.
"I do. What are you gonna do about it?" Zenkichi replied, his aura only growing stronger. Strange glowing blue marks momentarily appeared on his skin.
Miyakonojou's expression turned serious.
"I'll show you what it means to challenge a king!" he shouted, charging with a burst of lightning.
Red and blue light flashed across Zenkichi's eyes,
"I hope you aren't a disappointment, because I'm finally going to try using my new abilities as a newly awakened Quincy."
