Chapter 3: Chapter 2 - Toddler me
Under the light of the morning sun, one could see the sight of two children holding each other's hand walking in a garden filled with bright green bushes in the shape of walls that create a maze with random assortments of flowers found all around. In the middle of this maze was a square of empty space that has a stone floor and is surrounded by candles that were unlit. This place was used by the matriarch of the family, the mother of our protagonist, Eliya Woods to meditate. Currently approaching this space are the two young children. One is a male child about the age of 4 while the other is a female child approaching the age of 7. The lazy looking little boy is Ouren Woods who has dark green short curly hair with drooping eyebrows and lazy looking light blue eyes. While the female child is Selena Woods a righteous looking child who has shoulder-length curvy read hair and burning red ruby eyes.
"Sis, where are we going"
"Hmph, of course, were going to the center"
"But mom told us not too"
"So what, I'll soon have my awakening by then she wouldn't be able to order me around as she wants"
"The awakening, hey sis what do you think you'll get"
"Hmph, of course, the same one as moms, with it I'll be the strongest"
As the two children continue their idle talk, they constantly reach dead ends and at one point even found the entrance, the point where they began their adventure, but after getting serious they had finally reached the center.
"Finally here it is,... it looks unimpressive"
"Well what were you expecting"
But as they were reaching the final steps to enter the square a firey like an aura comes from the direction of the house, towering over the maze, even allowing them being in the center to see it. Then this aura launches up in the direction of the center of the maze and the kids react by stumbling a few steps backward. The red thing lands in front of them in a hard impact, though weirdly none of the plants or even the ground she landed on broke or even cracked. As the aura starts to dissipate it reveals the figure of Eliya a tall woman with the same facial structure of her daughter though just mature and with obvious muscles throughout her body, though it does seem weird for such muscley women to be so well endowed.
"Ha, you kids are too young to be snooping up in her come one let's leave"
"But mom you told me I can see it when I'm awakened"
"Yeah you can see it but you're not awakened yet"
"But I'm so close to it's only a couple of days later"
"And a couple of days you have to wait, let's go"
*Hmph
On the sideline listening to this argument was the little green child whose face looks very sleepy but this is only a facade. Internally the middle-aged man in the little child was having a turmoil.
(FUck me, that shit was scary. Seriously. is this what it feels to see your whole life flash before your eyes. Will I really be able to do that in the future.)
Even though he was in a panic, he let none of it out. His time working in companies and bullshiting during company presentations has taught him to always keep a poker face, they'll suspect you less and trust you more that way. As he sees the argument between the two starts to die down he decided to take advantage of the situation using his current child body's cuteness to ward off any possible punishment by rushing up to his mom with his arms open wide to get a hug.
"Mommy"
And his mother naturally responds by picking him up and placing him between her arms with his head leaning on her shoulder and his hands wrapped around her neck.
"Oh little Or, you shouldn't get caught up in all of your sister's escapades"
"I know mom, I'm sorry"
Deciding to admit his 'crimes' now, Ouren uses a feeble child's voice to appeal towards his mother.
"Oh you're the cutest, much cuter than your sister," Eliya said, which receives a timely response from Selena.
"Hey!"
But Eliya doesn't respond and instead
"So Or have you done your homework"
"Yup I've done the math but I'm having difficulties with the language one"
"Okay let's go back and I'll help you," and then Elena turns her head towards her daughter and says "come on little brat you'll enter once you have your awakening 3 days later"
"Gr, fine"
