Chapter 67: Chapter 66 - Challenging My First Weakness
Flying through the air and gaining altitude I stared intensely at the unpredictable tale of the serpent, flailing from left to right. Ferociously slamming the tree as it tried to get away with all its might. The tree giving more and more.
I reached the highest I could, feeling the heavy gusts of wind impacting my body, slowly coming to a standstill and starting my descend towards the serpent. The Icey cold wind cut through bone making it difficult to focus. I thought to myself that couldn't give up, not right now! Not while I swore to find a way out of this hell hole! With the tail and the tree vastly approaching I had to focus, tears flowing from my eyes because of the pressure I reached toward the tail now underneath me.
Spreading my arms and legs to cover more ground, the moment I would land…
That was when I heard it, losing my chance. The branch of the tree underneath us broke with a loud crack. The serpent slammed its tail down as hard as it could trying to break what was left of the branch. Its tail is now on the left of me. I was going to miss my target.
Falling down the tree to my death.
With everything I've learned, adapting to this situation was always a matter of life and death. Making this not just any different than the others. Thinking about it in that way I thought of a new way to use my flames. As I executed the skill the system confirmed my suspicions.

My body began to spin, faster and faster. My flames began to release like before in waves. Activating <heatwave lv 1> while spinning around my Axis. This made me slow down staying in the air. I knew where I had to go to, hoping this would help I tried my best to change the trajectory I was heading for.
I found myself right next to the serpent its tail when it spanned its wings proudly.
It had broken free! The serpent's eyes widened as a high-pitched screech pierced the windy night sky. The serpent flapped its wings down raising itself in the air and slamming onto the tree one last time. I knew the path would quickly slide past me, hoping for a moment like this to present itself I grabbed hold of its tail biting and clawing myself to safety.
The flying serpent shrieked in pain looking behind as it with a grin on its face.
Flinging me up into the air and breaking the tip I was holding onto.
With its mouth opened it began to fly towards me, fangs so thin they could be needles.
With my new skill, I propelled myself slightly towards it, making me slide over its head and scorching its face. Changing my spinning radius helped me to slow down and scorch the now flying serpents head. In pain, it slammed its head against me making me bounce up into the air. Slithering could be heard as the snowing had grown more intense.
I stopped my <Fire Spin> skill trying to find a weakness to exploit, but couldn't find any whatsoever. Annoyed the flying serpent opened its razor-sharp mouth wanting to end this battle which had dragged on for way too long. Losing its cool, blinded by rage the serpent reveals its trump card. Shooting out a purple substance turns into gas as it comes into contact with the snow.
"Acid, the flying serpent uses acid!"
The flying serpent had revealed its trump card. All I had to do now was to ignite the acidic solution so I could make the flying serpent explode from within. I dodged the strain of Acid flying towards me, which quickly turned into acid clouds as I tried to close in on the flying serpent with <Fire Spin> I only had enough energy for one big attack so I had to make it count. It was now, that I would win!
Lowering my guard to finish the job I found out too late that the acid its gas from was highly flammable. Creating weak but effective explosions. And to think I got caught in a huge one didn't make the situation better.
The serpent got me… I was a fool, but I wasn't about to give up still falling towards it, the flying serpent tried to create a barrier of defense and I knew what had to be done. Covering myself completely in flames I turned myself in a gigantic fireball lessening the impact of the flames. Now in front of the snake using my flames like a flamethrower, I ignite the acid that was building up in its mouth and stomach.
The flying snake completely igniting went up in flames, with me sliding from its back towards the top of the tree. I had won. Defeating my opponent with what used to be one of my biggest weaknesses.
