Chapter 3: Full Team/Spin-To-Win
If one wants a description of what it felt like to be tackled in the nether regions by a pokemon, then best Daniel could put is if for some ungodly reason a level 3 yellow belt kickboxer, who is a woman mind you, decided that she didn't like your attitude and punts you.
(A/N: True story never piss off an actively training kickboxing woman)
Well after taking the hit Grace seems to have found it funny. The very definition of Roflmao. Laugh so hard she fell off the bed and still continued to laugh. Claire was quietly glaring at the kneeling(?) Snivy who realizes what she had done and was shivering cutely. It would have been a comical scene if not for the small fact that Claire was using her tiny hands to tend to the offended area.
Whether or not this sped up the healing process, the pain went away fairly quickly. From I'm questioning my life pain to a dull ache as if my underwear is too tight kinda pain. After a few moments, Daniel was able to sit up with a grimace. Picking up Claire to stop her roaming hands. Daniel set her to the side ignoring the pout(?) on her face and set his eyes on the newest member of their little team. Snivy, for the most part, kept her head down, as if not daring to look him in the eyes.
"It's not your fault... Lizzy? Yeah, your name will be Lizzy. It isn't your fault Lizzy, it was just a freak accident." Daniel said while giving Grace the stink eyes that only sent her into another fit of giggles. He didn't notice the quick smirk that appeared on Claire's face before disappearing. Though Lizzy did notice it.
"Welcome to the team, Lizzy! For Introductions, the giggler over there is Grace and the adorably quiet one here is Claire. With this the first half of our team is complete. I feel that what we need would be some kinda front line tank, a flying type preferable a dragon and a water type, that has a surprisingly high chance of being a Gyarados." Daniel planned.
Honestly, for a tank, he didn't need it to have a good attack or special attack. What he wants is a very large pokemon with the words 'beat me!' radiating from its body. For a flying type, someone who's able to keep the skies clear and rain death from above is the best choice. Finally, water type cause Daniel felt that there was definitely gonna be a water floor. Unless you are a pure water type trainer he was sure most people would hate dealing with water type dungeons. So a Gyarados is a top dog in water not to mention they can fly too so all the better. Raising a decent Magikarp would be a pain in the ass but being rewarded with a monster of the sea would make it worth it.
He could have started off with a dragon type from the start but be it the anime, game or numerous fanfictions, it is universally known that all dragon types are hard to raise. Even with fairly high intimacy dragons are prideful by nature and even the calmest one would challenge their trainers to prove their worth for the dominant position. So he would prefer to be on the safer side and have pokemon who can restrain it during its growth. By the time it reaches its maximum potential, it should have been fairly tamed by then.
Thinking of this Daniel watched the trio meet and greet. Well, it was more of Grace going on and on while Claire and Lizzy just sat and listened.

This broke Daniel out of his thinking. Although he felt that he should take his time to build a strong foundation for his pokemon it didn't mean he wanted to be left too far behind. Standing from the bed it came to his attention that he was still naked and in dire need of a shower. Of the 2 doors in the room, one of them was slightly open so he picked it. Pushing it open more a very bright light flashed on that caused him to flinch and squint. What appeared before he was awe-inspiring, to say the least. A bathtub the size of a small pool for 4-12-year-olds filled with steaming water. A showering station on the side, several mirrors and a drying station on another side. The weirdest thing was a small empty vending machine(?) with nothing in it right next to the door I just came in.
While Daniel was admiring everything the trio entered the bathroom and all of a sudden the vending machine went dark and start making all sorts of noises. Grace almost punched it, Lizzy hid behind Grace and Claire just gave it a blank stare before continuing on to Daniel with arms raised looking to be picked up. After a minute or two it finally stopped making noise and lit up again. This time with several items on its shelves and a sign on top of it with large bubble letters in flashing colors. It read:

Really there were only 10 items on the shelves and one of them had a glaring floating question mark on its shelf. Daniel noticed that they were all bathroom condiments.

Daniels' face couldn't help but twitch when he totaled everything up. Then he stared at the '99%' part and the countdown that just passed a minute and shoved his only 100 Pokedollar bill into the machine. Luckily for him instead of trying to buy the one at a time as quickly as possible, there was a buy out button.

All of the items in the machine dropped into a carrying basket at the bottom before it popped out. Following which the machine went dark and morphed itself into a screen with a golden wheel on it and the words 'SPIN' shining in golden light. It was all split like this:

The 1% slices were placed evenly around the wheel. Seeing the wheel Daniel couldn't help but swallow. What if he hits 1% but gets some type of berry? Then he looks at Claire in his hands. 'Isn't this my lucky charm right here'?
"Hey, Claire! I want you to spin this for me! Just hit the button." Daniel said with a grin and held her near the SPIN button.
She looked at the button confused then pointed at it while looking back a Daniel. Daniel nodded his head twice before pushing her a tad bit closer. Looking at Daniel again Claire softly tapped the button on the screen and it was off. Spinning so fast it looked like a pure golden wheel. Daniels' pupils shrunk as he watches the wheel. After a few bated breaths, the wheel finally started slowing down.
