Chapter 15: Bloody Dog
"By the way, Brother Rigel. Did you really try to do something to that advisor?" Celesti asked as a small bird flew up out the opening in the sacred garden.
Letting out a sigh Rigel scratched the back of his head with a disappointed look on his face.
"Yes, but what that child emperor forgot to mention was that his 'advisor'. Is a Soleil knight. To be specific the child emperor's dog."
Celesti's eyes widen at Rigel's words in disbelief.
"The Bloody Crimson knight?" The Crimson knight was a mysterious young knight that appeared by the Soleil emperor's side when he was still a young prince. Fighting in the war alongside the prince. His sword skills surpassed those of general knights. Those who would witness him on the battlefield would claim him to be a demon. So frightening his clothes always covered in blood with a cold dead look in his eyes. His frightening appearance caused the title of the Bloody Crimson knight to spread.
It was too much of a surprise that the Bloody Crimson Knight had actually left the Soleil king's side to come here.
"What happened?" Celesti turned to her brother in curiosity. Watching a crease appeared between her brother's eyebrows. His eyes turning to frustration.
"I had only set up a trap outside the border. The Bloody Crimson knight only had two other knights with him." Rigel explained turning away in frustration.
"That Bloody Knight was easily able to sense the trap and broke through my Fiery Eye"
Celesti's eyes widen in shock at her brother's words. Feeling her spirit slip out of her body before she stumbled back.
"Y-you used Blazing Storm?" Confused Rigel turned to his pale-faced sister with a raised eyebrow with crossed arms.
"Of course I did. Why?" Feeling her life drain away Celesti stumbled back almost falling before Sirius quickly placed his hands on her shoulders for support.
"You Idiot," Sirius spoke out in a monotone voice with a disbelief look in his eyes.
"What?! Why?!"
Shaking her head Celesti rubbed her forehead trying to understand how her second eldest brother was the older one.
The three siblings were trained in swordsmanship from an early age. Giving temporary swords that were given to new knights. As they grew older the three went through the trial of forging their own sword.
It had been a royal Celestia family tradition to do so for hundreds of years. Going through trials to earn the same Celestia crystals used to forge the royal swords. Once the swords were forged by the master themselves were they able to name their swords.
The three had named their swords only after finalizing their contracts with the beast spirits in the Silver Doe's garden.
Sirius had named his sword, Gentle spirit. In honor of his own earth and wind familiar, Sylph.
Rigel who had formed a contract with the hot-tempered flaming firebird, Helios. Blazing storm.
Celesti who had formed the last contract with the ice bird, Alba. Naming her sword, White frost.
When they joined the war the word of the power of their swords had spread. It was certain that the Soleil knights, especially the Bloody Crimson knight would be able to recognize. Blazing storm.
"I didn't think that Bloody Dog would come. He didn't see Blazing storm and I hid from a distance." Rigel assured his two siblings once he realized the reason behind Celesti's worries.
"I hope so dear brother." Celesti frowned slightly before the sound of the tower bell echoed from a distance.
"They're here."
