Chapter 18: The Bloody Crimson Knight
"How interesting." The gold-haired knight grinned before his eyes went down to their connected hands.
"The princess and the crown prince appear very close. Don't they?" The man questioned with a closed-eyed grin to the nervous attendant. Jumping slightly the young man turned with a nervous gaze before his eyes shifted to the royal siblings.
"Yes, they are. The royal family has always been close."
"Yes, but I'm sure they're even closer."
Not understanding what the Bloody Crimson Knight was insinuating the nervous attendant only gulped down turning away.
"The royal princess and the crown prince are the pride jewels of the kingdom."
Chuckling the Bloody Crimson Knight stared up at the two siblings. His golden eyes following after the two until they were out of sight.
"Right, the prized Sheild and saint of Celestia."
Walking into the throne room Celesti and Sirius separated hands. Sirius' expression going back to his stern face.
"Father, mother." Celesti greeted her parents with a curtsy placing one hand over her chest as she held up her skirts with the other. Bowing his head Sirius placed his hand over his chest as well. Smiling fondly at her children Empress Titania nodded her head. The Empress' crown sitting proudly on her head as the sapphire star gems of her silver crown shinned brightly. Nodding his head Emperor Caelum gestured for them to take a seat.
Moving to the Empress side Celesti sat on a smaller throne placed one step below her mother. Sirius taking the seat at his father's side one step below him. The thrones ascending based on their hierarchy. Rigel already sat in his seat one step below Sirius' just as the youngest in the family the royal prince's seat was below his own. The young second princess Seren's seat was below Celesti's.
Seeing the twin's empty seats Empress Titania sighed rubbing her forehead as she turned to her husband.
"Where did the twins go off to?"
Gulping the Emperor let out his own nervous sigh shaking his head.
At that moment the side door beside the thrones opened and rushed the two missing twins.
"Sorry, Mother! Father!"
Seren yelled out with a nervous gaze, a small sweat visible from running to the throne room. In her hands, she held the medium-sized box. Besides her Lupus out of breath stared up at his parents bowing his head.
"You too...Just come sit." Empress Titania said gesturing to their thrones. Rather wanting to wait until after to question why they were late then right now. Nodding they quickly took their seats. Grinning Rigel ruffled Lupus' hair once he took his seat. Smiling slightly up to his older brother as he tried to calm his breath. Taking her seat Seren's eyes lit up when she saw she had made it just in time. Giggling to herself she held the box close.
Raising her eyebrow at her younger sister's strange happy expression. Celesti's eyes went down to the box Seren was holding feeling a heavy feeling of suspicion. She knew right away that the young girl was up to no good.
"Seren, what are you up to?"
Looking at her older sister Seren only smiled brightly keeping silent. At that moment a young nervous-looking attendant walks into the throne room.
"Your Majesty, Empress. The Bloody- I mean the royal Soleil advisor has arrived." The attendant spoke out with a deep bow. With a heavy frown, Emperor Caelum sighed rubbing the side of this head gesturing with his hand. Reaching over Empress Titania placed her hand over her husband's with a small supporting smile.
The doubled doors opened and in came the golden-haired knight. Lupus and Seren couldn't help but let out a small breath in awe. This was the first time they had ever laid eyes on a Soleilrian, especially the personal Knight of the king.
With a charming smile, the man's golden eyes sparkled with mischief as he looked up at the royal family. With a bow, he placed his hand over his chest.
"Your majesties, It's an honor to be in your presence."
