Chapter 63: A Nightmare

"Kill… Destroy…" A shadowy face turned its head towards Rielen. She felt cold sweat roll down her neck. An endless pool of black water surrounded her. What should have been a blue sky was dark, as if the world had turned blank and white.

Rielen turned her head left then right. "Who are you?" Silence. The white face began to fade into darkness. "Where is this?" She reached out to take a half step forward, but the face was gone. Screams could be heard in the distance.

Rielen fell to her knees and looked at blood soaked hands. Taking in shaky breaths she tried to wash her hands in the dark water. The sounds of splashing could be heard but the blood wouldn't wash away.

'Why am I here? Eon, help me.' She felt moisture on her face. She looked at her reflection in the water. Dark holes filled the place where her eyes should be. Crimson tears were falling down her face. Her usual color gone, her skin as white as snow.
