It was a delightful morning when Thanie entered in school. There are a lot of men and women in each group. They also had some issues which are really absurd. Heartthrobs who are not really quite handsome or even have a pleasing appearance. But there's one man that Thanie admired the most which was also a heartthrob.
Thanie Mace Ezra Delos Reyes is her real name, the girl who obsesses with Bry Luke Collins. She's 17 years old, a freshman graduate in Marian University and lived in a small town of Ipil. She has a lot of talents in life but she's scared that she may be laughed at if she'll show it to everyone.
She was not that type of person that every man's dream. She was a simple yet credulous girl you'll ever met. It's because She was easy to get nor easy to fool, not fall, and that was what people said to her even her best friends Veronica and Kaye. She was beautiful on the inside but not really on the outside. She always wore some big glasses so sometimes she had been mistaken for calling her a Nerd, maybe because she's smart too. She can't blame them for calling her like that. but the way she dresses, she wears of what is popular but in a simple way.
When they were young, she already liked Bry so much and wanted to be with him but she couldn't. She wasn't the type of person that Bry wanted. She had been obsessed with him since then. Bry already had a girlfriend who lived in New York. He had been waiting for her for a long time. But they heard that she's had another man.
She remembered when she met him at their Parents' Reunion, it was a coincidence that they met during those times. She had a huge crush on Bry for a year. So, she asked her mother of what was his name and her mom said "his name was Bry Luke Collins and he was the son of his batch mate and is now our business partner." She was more impressed with him as he sang in front of a crowd. Bry's voice was so stupefying and so husky that you could feel like you're in heaven lying in the clouds.
After Bry singing, he went down to the stage and slowly approached her. She was more impressed with him as her saliva leaked and quickly swallowed it, like who wouldn't fall for the drop-dead gorgeous Bry?
They were never close to each other but she always watched Bry in the distance. She didn't want to get hurt again especially that he already had a girlfriend. She said to herself "I don't want to share with because what's mine, is only mine." That's her favourite line. She may be easy to get but when it comes to love, she's so selfish like she will cherish it more than she cherishes herself. They said heart must not be divided yet it is whole and only one.
When she walked to the locker to pick up a book, someone approached her and it's her best friend Veronica or Nica. Actually, Veronica is not the only best friend she ever had, she also had a best friend in the other room, her name is Kaye but she's a bit busy right now so she couldn't be with them.
"Hi Mace, how's your day?" Veronica asked. Everyone calling her "Than" except her best friends calling her by her own nickname which is "Mace".
"I just got bored at home since my mom and dad were out-of-town," she answered as she took all she needed in locker.
"You know your parents always got busy," She paused a little while "what if we study in your home instead. What do you think?" She suggested.
"Nice but I'll ask mom first. Just tell Kaye if she's not busy." As she closes the locker.
"All right then, should I bring extra food? " Veronica asked again.
"No, I'll just tell Manang Fe later to cook for us. What do you want?" She answered as they started to walk at the hallway.
Manang Fe is her long-time maid and she's like her mother. She has been caring for her since she was a child. Her Mom and Dad were always busy and out of town.
"A shake please," she answered. "And tell Manang Fe 'thank you'" And she giggled.
They both went to the room. When they entered their room all of her classmates were there. They had their own groups; the trashes were scattered and others were throwing some kind of circular scratch paper.
"A dingy room, it is." Veronica rolled her eyes as they sat down.
"As if we aren't used to it," Thanie says.
When their Teacher arrives, they went back to their seats.
"Class, you have a new classmate who switched from the other section. I know you already know him." And their teacher turned her head where the new student stands.
"Come in," their teacher said as the students start murmuring and were very curious about who it was.
"I didn't know that we'd a new classmate." Thanie said to herself.
"I didn't know who it was but I hope it's a man. A ravishing well-favoured man "Nica hoped and giggled.
"Shut it, Nica. You're so disgusting," Thanie hissed and rolled her eyes at her.
"As if you've never done this before." She talked back.
"Over my dead body," she denied.
"Oh, then why is that, every time you see Bry, you always smiling like an idiot?" And then she looked up like an innocent.
"Am I?" her forehead twitched and her eyebrows met.
"I'm your best friend, Mace. I know every act of yours." Veronica smiled.
Veronica and Kaye knew her well. They always treated each other like sisters. They've been best friends for 10 years. They're so very close since elementary so every time when Thanie was down, they always there to cheer her up again.
It was more cautious when a Drop-dead gorgeous guy came in. And as Veronica said, she was right.
