Chapter 1: Meeting Alpha
It was like any other day, I was walking home from school after my club ended with my Julius. Me and Julius parted ways after I reached my house. When I walked in to my house there was a man with jet black hair and emerald green eyes standing over my kitchen island that I didnt know. I was beyond confused I was bewildered by how a man I never met was in my house.
"Oh there you are Luna I was wondering if you were coming straight home." my dad said with joy which fed me mixed emotions.
"H-hi dad, um who's your friend?" I asked with a slight stutter from embarrassment.
He looked at me with hesitation and desperation. Refusing to answer my question. I looked to the man even more puzzled trying to figure out what the hell was going on.
"Hello my name is Tikaani. I'm from the Inuit wolf clan in Canada you probably don't remember me, but when your dad came to Canada to sign the peace treaty me and you became friends that was probably twelve years ago." the mysterious Tikaani said with sincerity.
"Okay but that doesnt explain what the hell you're doing here and why twelve years later you show up." I told with a big huff expressing how annoying this situation is.
"Luna you know that around eighteen years of age we usually find our mates. Unexpectedly when you were six years old you and Tikaani imprinted. It's a forbidden to do it to one so young but you guys were inseparable back then and you both claimed to be one another's mate. No matter if we went to another hotel or stayed somewhere else, you both found each other somehow and quickly saying it hurt to be apart. Usually it's rare for ones so young to even find their mates at that age when the wolf inside doesnt start looking until fully sexually matured around eighteen to twenty-one years old. But you guys did. As the forbidden and rare act occured both me and his father the alphas of our clans agreed to an arrange marriage." my father told me in a serious tone while averting his eyes and looking only at Tikaani.
I was in shock how could a six year old imprint when we dont experience the change until 13 years old. Why should I stay stuck with him when my life is just beginning and I'm only looking forward to college acceptance letters. I didnt know how to handle it so I ran out the door. It felt like a whirlwind of chaos just uplifted my home and took everything from me. I ran until I couldnt run anymore. Until my breath was gone and I reached the near by woods. I ripped off my backpack, my sweater and swiftly took my clothes off. I got on all fours and started to change my body felt sore and then like my skin was ripping off. I stared off into the green deep forest where the crisp air laid focusing on my change.Once the pain ended I looked down to my paws where I saw my white fur flowing by the wind.
Without my knowledge Tikaani had rushed out and followed me. Once he had found my belongings he turned too. Ignoring the pain to rush to find me. I continued off to the find to find the nearby lake I love to go to when upset. I looked at the reflection of myself my blue eyes and white fur shined brightly in the reflection. Annoyed I swiped at the water with my paw and laid down next to water taking deep breaths of the sweet fresh air the smell of pine cones and pine trees mixed with wild flowers and nearby lavender filled inside me. When I heard loud trotting heading toward me I quickly jumped up and turned towards it with my front legs kneeled down and my face close to my paws growling at the incoming being that was ferociously coming towards me. Suddenly with a gust of wind a huge black wolf that surpassed my fathers size who's the largest wolf in our pack was statues in front of me panting. Emerald sharp eyes that reminded me of pine trees. Long fur that keep anyone warm on the coldest night. With a scent of the first snow fall on a crisp wintery day and pine trees. The scent was almost intoxicating that I momentarily forgot I was so upset.
I finally regained myself and started snarling and asked "Who are you?"
Panting like he was breathing air for the first time he answered "It's me Tikaani, you left so quickly I got worried. I didnt mean to just burst into your life but our parents thought this would be the best way for us to meet and understand."
I huffed and ignored him rolling my eyes looking back to the lake. When he came and sat next to me. Pissed off I started growling but he didnt flinch or growl back just sat by me and waited. I started thinking and felt bad for the way I acted but it was unfair. It felt like my opinions wouldn't matter.
"You know I've been dreaming about this day. Of the day I could see you again and how it would feel to see your beautiful glacier eyes and white snowflake hair. To finally hear your gorgeous voice. I never forgot the days we spent or how we imprinted. I understand everything seems drastic and unfair. But I want you to understand I don't want to just jump in a relationship with you, I want to woo you" he laughed and then continued "My clan is old fashion I won't force you. But I do in fact love you, I'm in love with you and would like for you to fall in love with me as well no matter how long it may take I'm willing to wait." he said sweetly in a comforting tone.
I sat there thinking what I could answer looking at his reflection in the pond seeing his serious stature. I could tell he wasnt lying and that he was being genuine. I finally looked to him and sighed.
"I'm not looking for a relationship with anyone right now. I want to finish my education so I can have a career outside of the pack. But I dont mind being friends and getting to know you." I said exasperated from all of this.
He nodded and said no more we went back to where the belongings and changed into our clothes. Once we were both dressed we headed my house. I ran upstairs where he stood by the door and went straight to my room calling it a night. Too tired to bother with homework or anything else. It was too much of an eventful evening to want to even try.
