Chapter 15: The Boy Wonder Brilliant Plan
"Young master, everything is ready!", agent 003 added, " The Rebels would be on the move tomorrow. Please give us your command!"
Alex Lee nodded with a satisfied expression and raised from his chair when he responded, " Tomorrow, split the elite agents into two groups, one group will carry the mission of the plan A, and the rest will follow me for the plan B, and Agent 003, I want you and agent 001 in group B, also the horse you just bought.., we will use it to pull the ammunition cart for group B! It's imminent for the failproof plan and plan B is our trump card! You can leave now, agent 003!"
The sturdy man saluted him with a military-style and left with a respectful gesture.
Alex Lee lost in his brilliant mind, within his brain he pictured his plans in 3D and choreographed everything and smiled confidently when the game was over with him as the winner.
- The next day, Marshal Shen headquarters -
After knocking the office door with urgency and hearing 'Come in' from inside the room, The small sturdy soldier barged in nervously and reported," Marshal Shen.., the rebels placed bombs in multiple undisclosed locations and threatened to burn the city unless you agree to surrender!"
Damian Shen raised up from his golden chair and retorted, " Called Marshal Lang and Guard Venn Lee, also, Commander Luo.., I wanted all the soldiers to wait for order in the training area!"
Yesterday, commander Luo had just arrived from the overseas, after completing a secret mission but immediately upon his arrival the rebels plan to attack the city, thus maybe why he was very nervous.
"Yes, Marshal Shen!"
Commander Luo was gone like a wind and not long after that Nick Lang and Venn Lee entered the room. Like usual Nick Lang treated her nicely like the forced kiss incident was never happen. He opened the door for her and gestured for her to enter the office with a gentleman bow while saying, " After you, my princess!"
Damian Shen was furious with the show of affection and also because Nick Lang called her 'His Princess', with a furrowed brow he said coldly, " The rebels were placing bombs inside the capital city and threatened to detonate them unless I surrender myself...which is not an option, the city would still suffer if I died since no one would protect it, so we have to come out with a good solution. I had prepared a secret plan based on the information from the enemy spy but if the information was a decoy then I need another plan as a counterattack, that's why I called both of you here!"
Venusa responded with a worried face, " Marshal Shen..., I had trained five talented new soldiers to be in the bomb squad, but overall, we only have 20 special ops, however, not only we don't know where are the locations of the bombs, but also we don't have enough bomb squads to search for the bomb locations!"
Nick Lang added, " If we have to choose, we have to pick you over the city because you are a powerful Marshal needed to protect the emperor and the city exist only because our emperor alive, the rebels want to kill you because they want to kill the emperor, so by all accounts, you can't surrender and even though I dislike you, you have to stay alive to protect our emperor!"
The three of them were on a deep thought when they were disturbed by a knocking sound.
Commander Luo entering the office once again and reported, " Marshal Shen, there were five people with their youngster master asking permission to see you and guard Venn Lee!"
Venusa gaped and pointed an index finger to her face and asked, " Me? I don't know anyone here beside Marshal Chen, Marshal Lang, and their soldiers. Are you sure?"
The mousy man was shaking and nodded to confirm her question. For some reason, she felt that there was something fishy about the person standing in front of her but she couldn't pinpoint her suspicions.
At the same moment, indifferently, Damian Shen instructed, " Let them in, and commander Luo, please stop shaking, nobody would get killed at this time and just do your other duty!"
Right away, a charismatic little boy followed by five sturdy and tall young men entering the office.
Venusa eyes stared at the group with disbelief, she even rubbed her eyes to make sure that she wasn't seeing an illusion when the realization hit her, she muttered, " Alex Lee, why are you here?"
"You know them?" Damian Shen asked her, while he winked in incredulity at the dignified young boy that definitely their leader.
"Mommy.., I am here for a mission.., nice to meet you, Marshal Shen.., thank you for taking care my mother for the past seven months, I have a gift for you, please do accept it!" Alex winked back at him with self-assured while he gestured to one of the men who was carrying a big military duffel bag to place it on the wide Mahogany table in front of Damian Shen.
Damian Shen unzipped the duffle bag and gaped with an astonishing look. His eyes were gleaming at the little boy impressively and gratefully he said, "
Thank you, young master! Your wish is my command now!"
Venusa walking forward toward the table to inspect the gift, and for the longest time, she stood aghast at the sight of the inactive bombs, definitely was disarm from the undisclosed locations.
She knew of her son genius traits but since she was always on missions and often left him behind with her uncle, she never knew how surprisingly brilliant would he be.
Swiftly, she was facing her son face to face and hugged him tight while sobbing with regret that she didn't know much about him. Since he turned one year old, her life had always been about training and missions, she even left him in the care of her uncle to train.
"Alex, mommy so proud of you! Any other information of the rebels?"
"Yes, but I only want to talk with you and Marshal Shen privately!"
Damian Shen was watching the display of affection between mother and son with enviousness to her ex-husband, he was wishing to be a father to a brilliant boy like her son.
Maybe he could marry her then the boy wonder would be his son. Instantly, his face turned cold because of his shocking wishful thought. He couldn't betray his late wife by giving her position to another woman because he had vowed in his heart to love only her as if she was still alive. In his heart, she lived for eternity. But why the thought of Venn Lee leaving him after completing her mission was causing an uproar in his heart.
"As you wish, young master.., let's come to my secret room to talk privately, just the three of us, and I believe they could wait for us here!"
Damian Shen reached a vase on his table and spun it around, a stair leading to a basement room was exposed, the room was only lit by a candle but it glowed at the entire room brightly.
All the elite agents were surprised by the secret room since it would require an engineering genius such as the boy wonder to create such a room, while it was unheard that the emperor country had obtained a genius engineer to work for them.
Meanwhile, Nick Lang watched them with envy because he was not invited to talk privately with them. They look like a happy family while he was just a leftover. However, he won't give up on his love for her. Eventually, she would be his wife and also he would be proud to have her genius son as his son.
