Chapter 2: The Guide appears.
<Silver's Pov>
At midnight, the world turned silent for me, I ignored the sounds of the animals in the forest. Sitting in the small cave near the opening I called home, I closed my eyes, waiting for a sign. After 2 hours there was no sign of anything happening, dejected I forced my mind to calm and went to sleep, my dreams were confused and a mess as always, I saw dragons falling dead in front of me, myself and an elf fighting off hordes of zombie like creature with ease.
<General Pov>
Little did Silver know that these were not dreams that he has having but visions of his future, the age that started in two years would be known as the age of the Sliver wolf, the one with the help of his pack, destroyed kingdoms, empires and Dragons with ease. But that is getting ahead of ourselves, back to the story at hand.
<Silver's Pov>
A Cold voice forced me to wake, it shouted *Up boy, the champion of the maker must not slack, rise , you have much to do today*
Startled I quickly rose to my feet, panicking I ran out of the small cave, much to the amusement of the voice who jokingly said *Boy, I'm in your head, no matter where you run too, you are stuck with me. I will explain what I can offer you, in return you must complete the tasks I assign to you. You may disregard quests at the cost of abilities or experience you have already earned if you feel like the quest is not to your liking. There will be three types of quests issued to you, the first are main quests, its is suggested that you do not disregard these as they are crucial to your development, the second are sub-quests or secondary quests that will help you achieve your goals but are not vital to you and the final type is hidden quests, you will not be told what the requirements of these quests are, they are essentially rewards for independent development and thought processes, do you understand everything so far?"
"I think so" I responded "So I will gain power and skills as long as I complete the tasks that you give me, may I ask what your end goal is and what I'm completing these tasks for you?"
*Clever boy, questioning the motives of a free offer, your cynical mind will serve us well going forwards. I was given to you by the maker, the voice who spoke to you as you were deployed from the darkness, you will bring his will to this planet through me. Once this is achieved you will be free to do as you wish with the powers you have gained until you die, if you die before you can complete the Maker's will the task will be passed onto your descendants. Other services that I can offer will be unlocked one you level up, we can't give you to much strength at the beginning as you may get complacent. *

Instantly my eyes where drawn to my race line, I was surprised and asked "Am I not fully Human?"

I paused before I asked "Is it possible for you to explain what my status page means to me?"
*Of course, as the Host is aware you have no name, since you decreed yourself the Silver host, we shall refer to you as that going forwards. We have already discussed your race, so we shall move onto your stats, these letters represent your strength compared to the average warrior in Thedas, C is considered average, B is above average while D is below average and so on. As you can see, at the moment you are considerably weaker than most, your magic being your lowest stat, the host should not worry as these stats will rise quickly as long as you follow the quests you are given."
I nodded my head,it sort of made sense to me, I smiled and said" Please carry on."
*Classes are unique learning schools that the host can pick up from learning from others, they are not taught by the system directly however the system can enhance those that you learn. As you taught yourself how to hunt, you have gained the hunter class. This will give bonuses to your Archery as well as giving you access to the tracking and path finding passive skills. Following on from classes is the combat mastery, this explains itself, it is your skill using weapons for both offence and defence, a higher mastery level will give you access to better combat skills going forwards. Combat skills will help you in combat at the expense of Mana or Stamina, Mana is increased with your magic stat and Stamina with your constitution stat. You current skill [True Aim] will increase that accuracy of your arrows by 50% at the cost of 50% of you Stamina reserve. Combat skills can be levelled up and mutated into new abilities, developing new effects as they go. Finally we have passive skills, these are skills that are constantly active and give you boosts to anything. For example the {Tracking] passive skill increases the chances of you locating animals of people simply by looking at the tracks. Passive skills are usually tied to classes however there are some that the systme my givethe host as quest rewards. I understand that this maybe a lot to take in but you have to understand this information if you are to survive."
I stood there for a second and reviewed the information once more in my mind before saying" I think I understand the basics of it, what is the first quest?"
* Good, the first quest is as follows. Main Quest: Find the hidden Dalish Tribe. Reward: Elvish Language (Basic), 1 random Stat increase and 50 exp.*
Finding the Elves huh, at least I can use my tracking and path finding skills to help dodge the wolves and werewolves that plague this forest, I can leave now before it gets to bright and make at least a bit of the journey under a bit of cover of the darkness.

Silver walked back towards his cave and picked up the crude bow he had made and slung it over his arm, he put the sword and sheath on his belt and slipped into the forest under the cover of dawn...
