I decided I'd meet the neighbors today. I'd moved onto a long street, littered with houses of every type, but only one really grabbed my attention.
It was a three-floored Victorian-esque house, painted a light purple with dark purple edges and window shutters. The grounds had ivy over them, but other than that it looked pretty well cared for. I could barely see the edge of a garden in the backyard from walls of ivy protecting the inside.
I walked up, expecting an old couple to live there, but was pleasantly surprised when I found the owner was actually a young girl that seemed to be my age, or a few years younger at that.
"Hello?"
She stared up at me, seeming to wait for me to say something. Then I remembered what I was actually there for.
"Uhm, hi, I'm Jungkook, I'm your new neighbor. I just wanted to say hi and maybe meet the neighbors."
She looked at me for another moment, seeming to be at war with herself.
"Ah, hi. I'm Y/N. Nice to meet you."
Her voice was absolutely adorable. She stuck a hand out, seeming conflicted on whether she actually wanted me to take it or not. I decided to go for it, and grabbed it and shook it quickly to avoid making her any more uncomfortable than she already was.
"Well, I should be getting back. Gotta move everything in. It was nice to meet you."
I smiled at her, hoping she didn't find me creepy. She nodded, waving. As soon as I turned around to walk away, she bolted inside and slammed the door, making me jump.
Hmm..she's strange. But, a good strange, nonetheless.
I'll befriend her.
