1. This is a slow-paced story, because of this ROMANCE CAME LATE FOR THE LEADS. I'm saying this again, LATE. There's a huge reason behind this, if you will be patient you'd get there.
2. Male Lead is weak AT FIRST. As this story is slow-paced, character development took a while.
3. Female Lead will start to reawaken around Chapter 80 and ML will rise into his full potential shortly afterwards--once you start reading you'll know why it took this long.
4. This book is not just about the romance part, it is also has a lot of mystery and later on, action in it.

While I first believed that the story followed a premise that has often been executed on Webnovel, the author succeeds in gathering an engaging story with unexpected originality that exceeds many of its fellow romance stories. I must confess I am positively surprised by the quality of the writing itself, something that I did not dare hope for. And while my own prejudice might often stop me from reading any romance, as it is often poorly executed, I must say this storyline is quite convincing. While I fail to get a secondhand infatuation with the love interest, I find him to be charming and incredibly likeable (even more so considering the often - pardon my language - juvenile bastards presented as love interests in many other works). The protagonist herself is delightful and grows on me as the story advances. I truly sympathise with her. Overall I believe this story to be a job well done. I am glad to have encountered a romance such as this and look forward to seeing the story progress.

Great book. The author did an awesome job with the story line. It seems impossible to wait for the continuation of the book. There were some errors with spelling in the chapters but, not enough to significantly hinder the outcome of the book entirely.
