Chapter 4: Chapter 4. Problem Solved, But Another Problem?
{Hello, sorry I haven't been updating for a while. Corona Virus has hit me pretty hard(My job). Anyway, I got one right now, hopefully, y'all enjoy it. I will try to drop another chapter as well but I can't promise it, I might not have enough time to do so. Anyway, hopefully y'all enjoy!}

With such a threat from two fearsome beings, Luke and Drex couldn't help but shake in fear.
Fortunately for them, a hero comes along.
"Now, now. We don't need to be so feisty, I think we can all talk this out after I get rid of these monsters." Taki said as he waved his hand in a circular motion. Instantly, a massive black portal opened up in the sky.
The people-watching was confused by a sudden gate appearing in the sky, however, the next moment they were shocked.
All the monsters slowly started being lifted up into the air, then the speed accelerated until they were sucked into the hole, never to be seen again. Witnessing such things, the people couldn't help but be shocked.
"O-oh my God... it's the portal of doom!"
"Are we also going to get sucked in like that!"
"No look! it's just the monsters getting sucked in!!"
The crowd hearing such comforting words, immediately relaxed. They were glad to see such a powerful magic help get rid of these monsters, but anyone would still have a lingering fear if it would also suck them in.
However, someone shouted out, "Look!! even the [Four Armed Cyclops] is no exception!!" Now everyone shifted their eyes towards a colossal giant also getting sucked in without a struggle. Once the people saw this they cheered in victory!
Fortunately, that wasn't the last blessing they're going to receive, a woman from the crowd noticed the flames of the dragon moving as if it was alive. Then, it quickly got sucked in the portal as well.
"Woahh!! th-the dragon is also getting sucked in!!" Everyone couldn't believe their ears, they all thought that just the dragon would stay due to its immense power. They never thought that the dragon was also no exception.
Everyone seeing such a fearsome creature wiped out of this world exploded in a louder celebration. People cried as they hugged each other while some were waving the flags of the Kingdom Of Doven high in triumphant.
"We've won!!!"
"We're alive and all the monsters are gone!!"
"Thank the Gods for such mercy!"
While people were celebrating, there were a few who were deeply shocked while covered in sweat.
On the ground, two people weren't celebrating as they were dazed out of shock and fear.
"L-Lad... I know you felt that person's aura just now..." Drex asked fearfully.
"I-It was more dangerous than the dragon... is that even a person anymore... or is it a beast in human skin," Luke muttered in a deep daze, still not able to believe how divine that power was, just from waving his hand it generated such an absurd amount of pressure.
Drex gulped deeply with sweat all over his forehead, as he said, "Lad... I recommend we and the others don't anger this being from now on, or else we will lose our lives. And I'm 100% certain, we will die miserably without a chance to fight back."
Luke looked towards Drex in fear, he couldn't believe his ears, one of the kingdoms most feared expert is saying that they will die instantly without a chance to counter.
"Are you absolutely certain Drex... I-I know we're strong and all but if we can't defeat that being.. what about other SS ranked adventurers?... like Yira and King..." Luke asked with a shaky voice. Clearly, he was too shocked as he's said his name while he never did before. Drex slowly looked towards Luke before saying in a serious tone, "I'm 200% certain, not even SS ranked can cause any harm to that being... not even King can..."
Meanwhile, on the walls, while everyone was still celebrating, Tremis was frozen in place. She wasn't an idiot as she evidently felt the huge surge of power that was generated from the man in between Hem and Grace.
'T-that being is not human... not only is he beautiful but he's also very dangerous... A rose surrounded by thorns. Just a wave of his hand could generate such a powerful pressure that I've never felt before, I don't dare imagine him getting serious.' Tremis thought in fear, however, she was also excited by such a discovery. Not only could she possibly use him to teach her to reach such a realm, but she can most likely learn any other ancient spells he could possibly have.
Unfortunately, the man himself was clueless for days, he was just happy when he saw the survivors in a festival mode.
Grace and Hem seeing his bright expression couldn't help but feel their hearts flutter.
"A beautiful God with a beautiful heart." The two girls thought happily.
Then, as if it was the most natural thing to do, Grace quickly embraced Taki's stomach, "Taki~ you're actually such a nice guy. How about it? Why don't we just get married now?"
Hem hearing such words panicked, even she didn't know why, well, she kinda knew.
"Ehhhh?" Taki was stunned from the bomb. Despite it stunning him momentarily, he quickly recovered, "Grace... This isn't the time to be playing around. Can't you see the injured survivors?"
Grace pouted, "You think I'm an idiot, of course, I can see them. That's exactly why I'm not worried, because I know you can see them as well which means you will definitely help them. And I'm not playing around, I'm being serious." Grace said with a bright smile.
Taki was once stunned again but quickly revealed a beautiful smile, "Haha, I didn't know I was so easy to read." He ignored the obvious hints that he was receiving for now.
Taki then looked towards the surviving people. He can see a lot with deep wounds and cuts from the vicious attacks from the horde of monsters, and he also noticed there were a few without limbs. Not to forget the dead, some only had limbs that remained to remember them by. Seeing the outcome of his mistake Taki felt angry and ashamed of himself, but he knew he could fix this.
Without delay, Taki cast [Restoration Of Life] on everyone, even the limbs of the corpses. Instantly, people were healed of their wounds while their energy and mana were recharged. At first, people were shocked by the strange bright lights glowing on their bodies, and then they were overwhelmed with emotions when they realized they were healed.
On the other hand, the singular limbs were rapidly regenerating the other limbs and body parts, meaning the once dead people are now brought back to life. The once dead people stood there in utter shock and silence, they were too dumbfounded by what just happened. Everyone knew they had died from the never-ending waves of monsters, but now, they're back to life.
One young man stood there checking if it was true, that he was back to life. Once he pinched himself and felt pain, the waves of tears poured without stop, "I-I'm alive... how..". But before he could try and figure out an answer, a loud cry caught him off guard, "J-Jack!!"
Before he could respond, he was mercilessly tackled onto the ground, bursting the air out of him, "Ooff!". When he was slammed onto the ground he moaned in pain and then opened his eyes in anger to see the bastard who tackled him, once he saw the woman in front of him with tears and snot on her pretty face, he couldn't help but feel his heart despair.
"J-Jack... you bloody bastard.. who told you to protect me.." The woman cried as she hit Jack on the chest.
Jack feeling the pain, ignored it as his hands slowly wiped her tears away, "I'm sorry Daisy... I didn't want to see you hurt..."
"You big idiot! y-you died... because of me... please, don't ever leave me again, I love you, Jack..." Daisy cried as she embraced Jack tightly, afraid to lose him again.
Jack was surprised but extremely happy from this outcome, during the long years they've known each other he has tried numerous times to court her. But her heart was to tightly shut, so he could only be a good friend for her, but now, he was honestly grateful that he died.
While the touching reunion was happening, the others now fully believed that they have been brought back to life. Immediately, a lot of people jumped to hug their loved ones or friends. Having felt the loss of loved ones and friends made people never wanting to experience this again, people felt closer than ever.
Unfortunately, one woman with pink hair has already fainted due to losing her mind from witnessing another legendary spell, that was lost through the ages being used so casually.
On the ground. Two people were also having a hard time.
"If... If that being can effortlessly cast spells of that magnitude without exhaustion... then this being cannot be taken lightly, he needs to be respected and we cannot afford to trigger his wrath... As I said before, we 100% need to maintain a positive relationship with that being... It's for the safety of this Kingdom..." Said Drex in a serious tone while he nodded towards Luke.
Luke knowing what he meant nodded back, then they made their way onto the walls to receive their new hero and guest.
Taki smiling like an idiot with the two girls holding his arms also smiling made his way down onto the wall. People noticed his presence and weren't that cautious around him anymore, even an idiot would realize that if it wasn't for this new and mysterious person, no one would've been saved, healed and brought back to life. So instead of being wary, they all looked towards him in great respect and admiration. For this world, being strong was a great feat to accomplish. One that would earn you a great amount of gold coins and respect.
Once they landed safely, the crowd slowly surrounded them while expressing their heartfelt thanks and gratefulness for his help. Some others were very curious about seeing an SS ranked for the first time, they all thought he was an unknown SS ranked who has come to save them. But they all knew he was most likely the strongest SS ranked from what they witnessed.
"My lord... if it weren't for you, I would have never been able to see my family again.. thank you.."
"Thank you for bringing back my husband..."
"My lord! your strength knows no bounds if you need a trusty and brave carrier, I myself fit the description!"
"Words alone cannot express how thankful and grateful I am for your help..."
"That was a legendary spell, wasn't it!? How come I've never seen or heard of you before!"
Taki couldn't keep up with the flooding of questions. 'Holy crap, Is this what celebrities experience every time?'
Facing the crowd of crying people, mixed with extremely curious others. Taki was a bit panicked but soon calmed down when he noticed Grace and Hem warmly hugging his arms. However, he was a bit worried about them coming too close. Fortunately, a loud voice saved him.
"MAINTAIN YOUR DISTANCE!!" Everyone had their souls frightened by the loud and fearful shout, they all turned to the source of the shout and they saw Drex and Luke walking up towards them.
People gulped in fear and they instantly made the distance, but Luke was in a bad mood from their idiotic actions from before.
'I never knew people could be so foolish enough to not realize who they're facing... I need to fix this before this mighty being become enraged.'
Luke cleared his throat before speaking, "You all have said your thanks, now leave us for we have some matters that need to be discussed!"
The people were shocked but soon some stepped up to protest, "Hey! we still need to show him more of our thanks, I cannot be satisfied with just this!"
"Yeah!! and I want to know if he knows SS ranked Darken Bear!"
"I require his assistance with my spells, to see if he can give me some pointers!"
Hearing such idiotic words again, Luke almost lost his shit but quickly calmed himself. Drex, on the other hand, wasn't as soft-hearted as Luke, he coldly glared at the ones who spoke with his red aura spread out, causing everyone to shake in fear.
"I won't repeat it again... leave now, or be ready to receive punishment," Drex says coldly.
Instantly, everyone left as they knew he was serious. Plus, they could always ask at another time. While the crowd left, Taki sighed heavily, he liked the attention he was receiving but he also needed to get used to it first.
'Man... Being a celebrity is pretty stressful shit.'
Grace seeing him so tense giggled lightly, she found him cute being so tense about receiving attention from people, for her and Hem, it was the norm because of their status, power, and rank.
"Hehe~ to think a God gets nervous from a group of mortals~," Grace says teasingly.
"W-what? Nervous, me? no no, I was just feeling... uh hot, yeah!"
Hem sighed, "Taki... if your gonna make up an excuse, please make one that's not as pathetic."
Hearing such truth Taki felt a stab to his heart, unfortunately, before he could make up another pathetic excuse, Drex and Luke swiftly reached in front of him and bowed to him.
"Ehhh?! what are you guys doing?!" Taki says with a panic.
Hem and Grace looked at the two with no surprise, they knew these two would easily find that something was different about Taki.
While they bowed like how a knight would, they never moved or answered back. Taki was at a loss to what he could do, he knew he could force them but he also knew that they are Hem and Graces, friends.
Soon after a while of awkward silence, Luke spoke, "My lord, we cannot express how thankful we are for your help, saving not only the Town of Buthrium and it's people but the whole Kingdom Of Doven."
Drex nodded and said, "He is right my lord, without your mighty strength we would've lost millions of lives from that foul dragon. Thank you for your assistance!"
Hem and Grace smiled warmly as they hugged his arm tighter, Taki looked towards the duo who were so respectful right now, he felt like shit, they thought he was such a hero but he knew he was the cause of this in the beginning. But he wasn't gonna tell anyone.
Hem noticed Takis conflicted expression and knew the reason, he was blaming himself so she quickly decided to change the mood.
"Okay, Drex and Luke that's enough. Taki isn't used to such things. Just a thank you is enough for him.."
Both looked at Hem their heads tilted. However, they still listened as they stood up.
"If that is the case, then I won't press any further. By the way, I am Luke Flurson, one of this Kingdoms S ranked. But you can call me Luke, my lord."
Drex noticed as it was his turn, also introduced himself, "My lord, this humble one is called Drex Bloodaxe. But you can call me however you like!"
Taki nodded, "I see, greetings. I am Taki Ruthman, I... am just a traveler and I was fortunate enough to meet these fine ladies. Who then asked me for help, and here I am."
Hem and Grace both blushed as they heard Takis compliment. Drex and Luke, on the other hand, almost choked on their saliva from hearing such scary words.
"F-fine ladies? Ahem... I see, my lord has quite the taste in women..." said Drex while wiping sweat off his forehead. He was gonna say more but he decided to stop since he was being glared at by the two devils. He valued his life.
Taki, on the other hand, was confused by what he meant.
Luke sensing the cold atmosphere decided to change it, "My lord if you don't mind, why don't we move to a better location for this conversation."
"Hmm.. okay, I don't know what you want to talk about, but sure."

Then, the group moved inside the Towns tavern, renting the whole place out. They were seated around a table, Taki, Hem, and Grace on one side. Drex and Luke on the other. It is a pretty tense atmosphere, if someone were to drop a pin then it would be heard loud and clear. However, Grace and Hem were calm and Taki was interested as to what they wanted to ask. As for the other two, they felt an unbelievable amount of pressure.
'By the Gods... just being in front of him and seeing his entire appearance... I thought I was a handsome man... But, he's on a different realm of beauty." Luke thought nervously while he secretly scanned Takis beautiful face, white long hair, muscular body, and rare golden eyes. He felt just by looking at this man was oddly addicting.
Ignorant to his thoughts, Taki asked first, "So... what was it you wished to talk about?"
Luke and Drex looked at each other then nodded, "My lord... we know your not an SS ranked adventurer. For we know 2 personally, and they haven't ever told us anyone of your hair color or appearance." Luke says nervously with sweat on his forehead.
Taki was a bit shocked that they found out so easily, but it's not like it mattered. He wasn't planning on hiding his strength in the first place, however, if people felt threatened by his power, then that's their pride they want to sort out.
He just wanted to have a carefree life, while he does whatever he likes. And that doesn't involve massacres, destroying kingdom after kingdom, or even the world.
Hem and Grace were calmly hugging Takis arms as normal, not surprised that their friends knew. Taki was also used to this form of intimacy by now, he was also surprised himself that he got used it so easily.
Taki looked at the nervous pair before saying casually, "Is there a problem with that?"
Drex and Luke choked, then Drex hastily waved his hands in denial, "N-no no-no, there's nothing wrong about it, my lord!"
"Yes, my lord! All we want is a good relationship between you and the Kingdom Of Doven!" Luke quickly added.
Hem and Grace giggled once they saw the once and mighty warriors of Dove Kingdom behaving like children.
"You guys won't need to fear such things, for Taki is within our care." Hem said arrogantly with a laugh.
"Yeah, if my husband wishes to join me, it's only natural I look after him~" Grace also added while rubbing her face on his arm.
The pair were shocked.
"Your party?! I don't dare believe that you would be worthy of my lords time." Asked Luke frantically.
Drex, on the other hand, picked up something, "Your husba-" before Drex could finish Hem cut him off.
"Of course I'm capable. I am the 2nd best mage in this Kingdom, so that gives me the right. And Drex, please don't take this idiot seriously. Plus, let's be honest, I know more about this Kingdom than you and Drex combined, and not to brag, I would wipe the floor against you both." Hem said with a bit of pride.
Luke and Drex wanted to refute her words but it was the truth, and sometimes it can hurt.
"Oh, good point lass." Drex approved. However, someone was hurt along the way as well.
"Heh?! But I'm 100% serious!!" protested
Grace. Unfortunately, everyone ignored her.
Causing her to bite Taki in frustration.
'I mean... sure, take it all out on me. No big deal...' Taki thought sadly.
After a while of deep thought, Luke nodded in agreement, however, he soon realized something, "Oh that's right! Hem... I seem to have lost my Crystal Of Invisibility... you haven't seen it have you?"
Hem choked on the air in panic, "Heok! Grace, you want to get married to Taki?! wow... I'm so happy for you." Obviously, anyone with a clear mind can tell she was changing the subject. Well, except for someone...
"Yeah~ It will probably be this year, wait... no, it will be this year~!" Grace explained cheerfully as if she couldn't wait. Then the girls continued on with their conversation, ignoring the guys who were stunned by how shameless Hem was.
Taki sighed deeply, 'She complained about me giving a pathetic excuse, but what the hell was that?!'
After a few seconds of awkward silence for the guys, Taki took charge.
"Okay... pretending that didn't just happen, it is true that I will be joining their party. Now, is there anything else you'd like to discuss, Luke and Drex?" Taki asked with a smile.
Luke immediately snapped out of his daze, "Oh, there is one more thing I'd like to ask..."
"Yes?"
"Let's say, someone were to offend you in any way, what would you do?..." Luke said respectfully. Drex nervously held his own hands.
"Hmmm... that's a good question, it depends really. If they did some minor mistake then I wouldn't mind much, however, if they provoked me on purpose... then that's their pride they want to sort out. And I guess you know what I mean by that." Taki says with an icy tone. Causing the pair to freeze on the spot in fear.
The pair gulped deeply in fear, just imagining the scene will give them nightmares.
'Ahhh! I feel so fucking cool right now, I've always wanted to act like this!' Taki screamed in thought. If people knew what he thought, I doubt people would be afraid.
"I-I understand... I swear on my life, we will make sure no one dares to trouble you! And thank you for choosing the side of peace and mercy upon this Kingdom, my lord!" Luke shouted while he bowed in front of Taki again. Drex also followed suit.
Taki was not used to people bowing in front of him like this, but he wouldn't deny that it felt good.
With God mode on, Taki replied sagely, "You have my word. Now, if that is all you wish to discuss then I will take my leave."
Luke stood up with Drex and then replied, "No my lord, that is all. Thank you for your time."
Taki nodded before leaving with the girls on each arm. Drex and Luke seeing his board and wide back couldn't help but admire his beauty again.
"That's a dangerous man, in looks and power... We're fortunate that he was willing for peace." Drex muttered with a dazed expression.
Luke also dazed nodded in agreement, "Yeah..."
After Taki and the others left, it was only the pair of them left. They were about to leave as well until Luke caught sight of something at the tavern wall, a pink flag, then he stopped Drex.
"What's the matter, lad?"
"Gramps... don't you feel like we've forgotten something, or maybe someone?.."
"Ah... Now that you've mentioned it, I do feel like something is missing..."

Taki walked outside and saw the state of the town. The town was a classical medieval town, wooden homes, and some stone ones. There are wooden stalls around that most likely sold food and other accessories, they're mostly empty due to the evacuation of the town, but the little few survivors were going on about their day.
Taki seeing this new fantasy world, which would be his new home, took a deep breath of the air. 'Ahhhh...I'm in a different world now, I still can't believe this...' Taki thought-feeling really grateful for God giving him this amazing opportunity.
Taki cast Invisibility Magic on them before he left the tavern, he knew since he was such a big celebrity now if people saw him he would be swarmed again. Of course, Hem and Grace noticed.
Then Hem tugged Takis arm before asking, "Since the meeting is over and you've successfully saved the to- I mean this Kingdom. What do you wanna do now, Taki?"
"Yeah, pick quickly while daylight is still with us," added Grace. And she was right because it was currently midday.
"Hmm... I wanna sightsee, can you ladies show me around?" Taki asked with a smile.
The girls seeing his beautiful smile immediately agreed to do so.
"Leave it to us!" Replied the both of them in unison.

Somewhere East of town, in a massive mansion. Underground was a massive and reinforced bunker, that even monsters wouldn't be able to break through. Inside the bunker was a group of people gathered around a table discussing the events of today at the walls.
"And it says on the report, that the town was saved by a single man... who used a few long-forgotten spells...like [Restoration Of Life]." an old man wearing luxurious clothes said. Once finished reading the report, he threw it up in the air, instantly the paper burned into ashes.
The men around the table were in turmoil from hearing such a report.
"By a single man, who can use a legendary spell that was lost through the ages? Do you expect us to believe such bullshit?" Another man asked angrily, who was the youngest in the room.
The old man from before looked at the young man with a smirk then replied, "Of course, if that's what the report says then that's the truth."
"So, you would believe anything that piece of paper tells you?" The young man said with mockery. The surrounding men lightly laughed at his words, but the old man was unaffected.
"Let me rephrase that, I believe in what my spy reports to me. Moreover, there were a lot of eyewitnesses, and I don't think they would all make up something so similar to each other stories."
The young man picked up his cup before taking a sip, put it down then said, "That still doesn't give us proof, words from mere peasants don't hold any weight. I say we bring this so-called hero to us and make him show us whether he's real or not."
The men around the table started talking louder, agreeing to the young man's suggestion. The old man seeing this couldn't help but smirk again, "Alright, but let's say he is the real deal... now, what would you do?"
The people turned silent as the young man and older man had a fierce staring contest. Soon, the young man broke off first, "That's simple, if he is truly the real deal, I will recruit him to become my bodyguard."
"Ohh... and why would you need another bodyguard, aren't your twin blades enough?"
The young man snorted, "Hmph, you don't understand the importance for powerful bodyguards, especially so when we're doing illegal business such as your beastmen slave trafficking and my Blue Crystals."
The people nodded in agreement again. But the old man wasn't affected, "So, you're afraid of the Griffin Raiders to catch you. That's quite the shame."
"Afraid? don't make such a joke, just my twin blades assassins themselves can take care of them. However, if I can get my hands on this so-called hero. My other plans wouldn't take so long to proceed." The young man tapped on his table twice, and there two shadows emerged out of his shadow. Kneeling down beside him.
These two figures were made out of the dark mist as if they aren't real people but shadows. Eyes as dark as blood, on each of their hands they held two short swords also made out of the darkness. These twins specialized in Shadow Magic, proving them to be one of the most efficient assassins ever known in the Kingdom.
Screams of shock and fear were heard when everyone saw the dark beings emerged out of nowhere. This caused everyone in the room to panic as it was forbidden to bring any weapons or bodyguards to the meeting, even the old man was greatly surprised. However, the young man ignored them and continued, "Twin blades, I need you both to go and find this so-called hero and bring him to me. If he doesn't wish too, first use money to sway his mind. And if that doesn't work, I give you permission to use force. However, make sure you don't kill him."
The dark beings bowed slightly before disappearing. They turned into their shadow form, hastily making their way through the cracks of the walls and out to the town, to begin their search.
"Now, let's see what this wannabe hero decides to do." The young man says as he shows a toothy grin. Just imaging his bright future made him feel thrilled.
