Chapter 17: Chapter 3 : Change of Fate :
The siblings life were so pathetic and miserable, Angel wandered the streets scraping and fighting with dogs and stray cats for food on a trash bin.
At night she slept in a corner of a the street as she huddled trying to get some warm from the dirty jacket and a few garments she had during the cold winter nights.
Her face and arms were covered with grease dust and dirt, from wandering the streets for too long.....
Ashley and Angelo's life can be said that it is not as worse as Angel's life, everyday they do laundry and odd jobs at their neighbours house in their community, while their father took their hard earned money from work, children their age should not be doing.
They also suffered and endure constant beatings from their bastard of a father when he came home at night after drinking and whoring.
Thus their life is miserable to the extent that their only hope is that there would comes a day that they would run away from their house to look for Angel and reunited with her again.
Days went by so fast and turns into months, it's been almost three months since Angel left their home, she is now wandering the streets enduring the now humid hot climate.
She sometimes wish that she would one day die and finally escaped the sufferings, but she doesn't have the courage to end her life, specially when she think of her sister and younger brother, and the promise she said before she left..........
One hot evening as Angel huddled in a street corner, she thought she saw her mother and her youngest brother, walking across the street.
in her cloudy, fuzzy and delirious mind, she tried to stand up and dragged her weak burning feverish body and run across the street calling her mother and Adrian's name.
She run across the street weakly before she fainted right in front of a moving vehicle, almost hitting her. Thanks to the alert driver, who stepped on the break stopping the car just in time before it hit her.
