"The usual guards stationed at the Lan manor waited but her holiness did not arrive so they started to worry and informed me. We thought you got caught up on the way, but we figured that you might have decided to stay in the new residence so we came as fast as we could," Bai Feng explained.
"Thank you for coming," Luo Luo thanked them.
"No, ma'am. It is our duty," he said with a smile.
Wang Yukhei stood at the side and did his best not to look at the little girl staring intently at him with big eyes. He just looked on like nothing was happening.
Finally, Lan Wei Qi could not take it and pulled at his sleeves. "Brother Yukhei, how did you do that?"
"Do what?" He asked as he raised a brow.
"That! There were explosions everywhere! You were controlling it!" Lan Wei Qi narrated animatedly as she waved her hands around and then her mood suddenly fell. "Wei Qi cannot control her powers... I once hurt my Wangji gege..."
"I practice," Wang Yukhei coldly stated.
"Practice?" she mumbled to herself. "Wei Qi doesn't practice because she is afraid. Brother Yukhei, will you help me?"
"I don't have time," he said as he looked away.
"Look at this insolent little..." Commander Bai Feng gritted. "Your holiness, on the contrary, I think this old man has a lot of free time lately. I can help you practice using your powers along with Yukhei."
[Fool! If you like her, show her! Don't push her away, ah! This old feels like he's going to have a stroke with the way you're acting!]

The said old man winked at him before mounting his horse. "From now on, Yukhei, you are her holiness' guardian. Since you are the strongest of the new generation, the priests won't disagree to it. Good luck!"
"Grandpa, you're not sick anymore?" Lan Wei Qi innocently asked.
"Yes," Commander Bai Feng smiled, his happiness greatly evident on his face. "It is all thanks to her holiness that this grandpa is well."
[If her holiness calls me grandpa, then so be it! I am grandpa from now on!] He thought as he rode away.
[Which of us likes her holiness again?] Wang Yukhei thought as he internally sighed.
"Brother Yukhei, have you eaten yet?" Lan Wei Qi asked him as she pulled his sleeve, but he did not budge.
"Not yet."
"Then come!" She said as she started pulling his arm with two hands. "We still have food! Look, the soldiers are eating! You should eat too!"
[Ah, adorable!] Each and everyone of them thought. Who would not want to serve such a sweet person? They would even fight others just to keep their positions as her servants.
Who cares about the dangers? Cuteness conquers all.

"Brother Yukhei, why are we heading to the palace?" Lan Wei Qi asked Wang Yukhei.
"The palace was given protection by the goddess herself. Even if you miss a shot, nothing will be destroyed," he explained. "Well, maybe if someone passed by, they would die."
"D- Die?" The color in her face drained.
[Oops. I slipped.] Still, the expression on his face did not change as if he was not sorry about it.
"Die of cuteness, your holiness!" Luo Luo managed to salvage the situation. "If someone were to pass by, they would find your holiness very adorable."
"Oh!"
Luo Luo and Si Cheng internally sighed in relief.
The second prince and the third prince entered the small training grounds inside the palace and were surprised.
"Oh, Xiao Qi, you're training?" Long Xichen asked her.
"Yes!"
[Xiao Qi? They're already calling her that?] Wang Yukhei internationally frowned but he did not show it and his face remained bare of any emotions. What a child.
"And this is?" Long Xichun asked.
"My name is Wang Yukhei, her holiness' new guardian."
"Eh? But you're a kid?" Long Xichen said in confusion. Long Wu Xian chuckled on the side and they turned to him. "Oh, he's Commander Bai's apprentice? No wonder!"
"Huh? Xiao Qi didn't hear anything," Lan Wei Qi said in confusion. "Xiao Qi wants to hear too!" She stared at Long Wu Xian with big bright eyes.
["Xiao Qi? Do you hear me?"]
Lan Wei Qi was confused and looked around her. She didn't see anyone speak. [Who was that?]
"Xiao Qi, Wu Xian doesn't speak much, but he can communicate through our minds," Long Xichun explained.
"Is that magic?" She asked.
Long Wu Xian nodded with a soft smile. He waved his hand and their surroundings was filled with white butterflies.
"White magic?" Bai Xuxi suddenly spoke out, confusion evident on his face. "That's her holiness' power!"
"You did not know?" Long Xichen asked him. "Wu Xian was gifted with light. Xiao Qi was given... we don't know what it's called."

Sinister. The color of her powers were of a dark shade of violet, almost black. They crept everywhere and devoured everything on their path.
"It's Nether..."
"Pardon?"
"For thousands of years, the child of heaven was always gifted with the "light", but now..."
Lan Wei Qi bowed her head and fidgeted. [Wei Qi is... not the child they want... Wei Qi is not enough...]

Lan Wei Qi was dumbfounded. There were only ever people comforting her about her powers but she has never seen anyone compliment her because of it. It was the first time she saw someone so delighted.
["Xiao Qi, cheer up. We're here to support you."] Long Wu Xian smiled at her as he patted her head.
The fourth prince then decided to join their training too. Ever since then, Long Wu Xian and Wang Yukhei became the pillars of her strength and confidence.
