Book 1:The Mark of The Called.
Oracle of the Last Ancient.
100 years BA,
The 30th year of the reign of the Last King.
One turn,
Even and Morning.
Half turn,
Crushed, abandoned and mourning.
A people forsaken,
A heritage forgotten.
Darkness cloud and gloom,
Nothing of which shall bloom.
Half turn, Second turn.
No one will stumble,
At night return,
We shall not gamble.
For this we salvage,
We shall not take flight.
This is our heritage,
For which we fight.
Virtue will guide,
Where darkness will not abide.
With hope as helmet,
Despair will be well met,
This is the stand,
Darkness will not command.
For first comes the marking,
In whom is born the calling.
