Chapter 2: Meet
We headed straight to our way on our apartment after our breakfast in the restaurant. I still have a lot things to do. I have to visit someone. I changed clothes as I enter my apartment, I have to hurry because I still have to drive for almost 3 hours to get there. I wore a floral off shoulder dress exposing my skinny shoulder, and a white sneaker. I am use to wear high hell sandals, sneaker are friendly to use.
I check my phone to see if there's a message, and I am right he's already texting me to hurry. I miss him so much, I should go now.
I drove for almost three hours and I already can see the modern house. He's really here, I can see his Porsche. I get off the car immediately after I park my car next to his.
I entered already without even tapping the doorbell or knocking the door. I'm excited to see him.
"Tito Daddy!!!" I shouted as I enter the house.
"You're so loud, Ligaya! stop that." Someone from the kitchen shouted back at me.
"waaaaaah! John! you're here.... I miss you!" I said to John and hurriedly hug him.
"Ew Ligaya! Call me Yohan, not John. It sound you're calling my dad." he said at me and poke my head, but he hug me back after "I miss you too Ligaya!"
"I didn't know you'll come here too, I was surprised to see you. But wait where's Tito Dad?" I ask as I remember who's the person I planned to see
"I'm here Darling!" He said and showed himself, he's wearing an apron. I bet his cooking.
"Tito Daaaaad! I miss you!!!!" I hurriedly go to him and hug him so tight
"I miss you too Darling. Oh eat first, I cooked you're favorite caldereta. I know you're hungry. Yohan prepare the table." Tito Dad said.
We eat as what he said, and as always he's a good cook. In between our meal I ask him to catch up.
"How's your volunteer team Tito Dad? Are there many people who got hurt?" I ask him.
Tito Dad is the one who adopt me after Lola passed away. He's the doctor also who helped me after that incident. He's friend with my father, but my father can't get me because his wife does not like me to be in there house. That's why Tito Dad adopted me, at first I got so mad to my father. He abandon me, but Tito Dad explain to me everything and help me understand the situation.
He became my father for those years, He does not have wife. His wife passed away after giving birth to John. Tito John is the Head Doctor of the Neurology Team. He help me to become a surgeon also. And I am blessed I met Tito Daddy.
Tito Daddy is naturally a good Samaritan, he lead the volunteer team to help the victim of eruption of Taal Volcano.
"There are a lot of people who got sick because of the ashes, especially kids. But my team did everything to help them. Actually, we'll be going back there really soon."
"I wanna go with you Tito Dad, but I still have things to do at the hospital." I really wanna help but I can't I still have patients waiting for me.
"Ah, John when did you get here?" John lives in Korea, he's also a neurologist just like his father and he work in Korea.
"I am planning to work here, I miss Philippines you know." While spreading his arms wide.
"Really? Where? Where?" I ask excitedly, but I already had a guess I just want to confirm
"At the Hospital you're working, Myung Medical Center!"
"I am so happy John, awieee I can have free lunch from now." I teased him since he's so stingy
"Oh gosh! I'll treat you, just once! And stop calling me John please. It sounds so old." He said while looking at Tito Dad. He's teasing him again. I just smiled.
I am so happy to meet them and be part of their life.
"Tito Dad, will you go with me to the hospital? I'll go back tomorrow."
"Oh sure, I miss the scent of the hospital though." We laugh at what Tito Dad said. Tito Dad's phone suddenly ring so he just went out to answer the phone call. We finish our food after that, and I headed to my room and took a shower. I really wanna sleep. As I lay in my bed, I remember how thankful I am. Yes I have a "not perfect" family but God didn't left me behind. He still gave me people who can be my support in everyday. Thanks God, I know you'll always be there for me. I miss you Lola, guide me always.
