Chapter 1: Prolog
My name is Raven Rosen. I've worked for the OIUS since I stumbled across a cursed treasure buried deep in the jungles of Africa.The curse made me immortal and forced me to watch the world change but never change myself. But that isn't important now is it? What is important is the mission I have been chosen for.
Today I'm on a plane heading to the deepest part of Mexico. I've been sent to the deep jungle to investigate a lost Mayan city where explorers have been going missing for weeks now. I have to say, I'm not sure why I was chosen for this particular mission but hopefully this is just a case of dumb mortals getting lost.
I know that makes me sound shallow but mortals can be very dumb. Every time I look around me I see evidence of this fact by the war, killing and how they destroy themselves. As I look around this plane I see so many mortals around me wasting their lives they have, even though their lives are just a candle in the wind, I wish that I still had that bliss
